(XD Well if you're like me then you stay up all night only to realize it's a bad idea in the morning, and then you're go go go until mid-afternoon when you finally sit down to relax and then it becomes physically impossible to stay awake lol) (Lol, I totally do that too! And then suffer for it later xD Sometimes I end up just pulling all-nighters when my class is at 8am xD )

(There's actually been more times often than not that I've turned a three day essay into a three hour one. Being a procrastinator is both a gift and a curse, you're talented enough to do things quickly at the last minute when you had a lot of time to work on them, but the only reason why you have that talent is because you waited in the first place XD) (That's intense skill, man xD I feel like you're probably pretty good under pressure! Good skill for artists, eh?)

"Now that you mention it," Jag thought aloud, "I do remember the townsfolk complaining about being hungry a lot.." He looked down at his sack of gold and silver pieces guiltily. "They complain because everything is stolen from them, and they don't have the means to fight for it", Vincent said with a frown. "Come laddie, let me show you something else", he said and he waved him to come along as he walked a little ways before turning down an alley way and standing at the front of it, looking towards what looked to be a woman and two children looking around for scraps. One of the children looked up at them when she noticed they were being watched, and she ran up to the fox.
"Vixer!", she said in a bit of a cheery tone. Vince knelt down to where he'd be eye-level with the child and was almost tackled to the ground as she came right up and threw her arms around his neck in a tight squeeze.
"How's it goin' lassie? Did ya use the coins I gave ya earlier?", Vince asked once the girl let go.
"We tried, but the man momma tried getting bread from said we didn't have enough", the little girl said as her cheeriness turned to sadness and she frowned.
"Here. See if this helps", Vince said as he handed her another small sack of coins, and she took it gratefully before running back over to her mother to show her the money.
"Ya see lad?", Vincent said to Jag, just before standing up again. "These folk have been strugglin' more than ya know, so much that they can hardly provide for their own children. What kind of king would let that happen?".

(Same Winter! And yeah, you can send Ravage or something to get the tax money she was supposed to take to tax deposit area or something earlier) (Great idea!) Ravage waltzed into town, swinging his whip-like tail around without a care in the world. He smiled as villagers ran for cover in nearby shops. His one showing eye glinted red in the sunlight. "Arabella!" He called, greeting her warmly as he approached her. "What have you collected for me today?" He prided himself in his false kindness, for sly talking and trickery could get one far in life.

Good skill for artists, eh?) (Wish I could say that was true, but with my anxiety being as bad as it is I don't do too well under pressure at all and I stress easy. I had a breakdown trying to take a final for Abnormal Psych last college quarter. That class was online and trust me, those suck, and the final being online was what made it even more tough. I procrastinate on my art too XD it's not too big of a deal when the project is just for leisure but when it comes to doing one for a class it can get pretty ugly. I may only seem that way because depending on the situation and what I have to do I can think quickly, sometimes, other times my mind is elsewhere and I draw a blank)

(I remember trying to read an excerpt of Shakespeare, I had no idea what I was reading XD)
Arabella whipped around to face Ravage, the head of all tax collection and one of the King's advisors. A rat does suit him. It matches his personality perfectly, not that she could say anything about that or it would be her head. She reached into one of her pouches that was clipped onto the belt of her tunic and pulled out a medium sized sack of gold coins. The villagers here pay more money for taxes than they did anything else. The house prices around here are cheaper than a month's worth of tax collection. She dropped it in his large paw, "There's all the coins for this week's tax collection. I had some trouble with the villagers trying to take some but I got back what they stole." she replied out loud but in her head she added on I hope. "Why are tax prices around here so high? The only people around here who can afford it and still have a nice house is my family." She hoped she wouldn't get in trouble questioning the king's motives.
Her brother did that once and he was thrown in jail for about three years. Good thing she wasn't questioning something as confidential as he was. She wanted to hit her brother when he was arrested. He shouldn't have been so...so...himself. Asking dumb questions that could have gotten him killed. 'Just do as you're told' is what her mother always said.

He thought about his soft life, safe and well-fed living in the guard barracks. "That's not right! Look at her, she's just a child" Immediately Jag took out his coin bag and ran over to the girl with it. "Please, take this. You need it more than I do!" He thrusted the entire large bag of coins at her.

Ravage felt the weight of the bag in his paw and his whiskers twitched. He was pleased. "So they tried to steal from the king, eh? If you figure out who it was, be sure to send them to me." He smiled wickedly. "Oh, Arabella. Don't you understand?" He placed his arm around her shoulders. "The king needs this money, far more than these pitiful peasants do!" He laughed. "You afford the place you live in because you do good work for your king. Don't question his authority and do exactly as I say, and you will live a wealthy life." His face was inches away from hers now.

She stiffened when she felt his arm on her shoulders. Her eyes were looking in every direction except his, Arabella wasn't sure what his intentions were but wasn't sure if she wanted to know. She grabbed his arm and removed it from her shoulder, "Umm...thanks for the advice? But I don't think we need to arrest the peasants. People do bad things when they're desperate. And if I was starving and living in a crate I sure would have stolen something by now." She backed away a bit. Just so he wasn't too close to her. Arabella's hand went to her sword hilt but not in a way like she was about to draw it out.

Jag wasn't quite sure what to make of this. The last times he'd been touched in years was when he was punching or being punched. The hug kind of reminded him of when he was a young kitten, and his mother used to care for him. He began to tear up a bit, but stopped himself before it got out of hand. He allowed himself to hug her back. "Right," he said after a moment, sniffling a little. "Well, it was nice meeting you all," he said, smiling.

The woman let go and gathered her two children close to her, they both smiled a bit shyly at Jag, and then waved to Vince who waved back kindly. The children took their mother's hand and began dragging her along, anxious to get bread and then some with what they had been given. Sometimes it amazed Vincent at how they were able to keep the coins concealed from any guard or tax collector, but then again with how hidden they stayed and avoided the main streets it was an easy thing to do. The fox walked up to Jag just as the family of three disappeared around a corner and patted his shoulder. "Ya see laddie? Doin' this kind of good is better fer both parties, ay?", he said.
