Saber waved a hand with little effort, and immediately a servant came to his side. She gestured for Aria to follow. Going back into the great hall, the servant pointed at a door in the corner of the room. "It's right over there, dear." She said to Aria, beginning to walk away. "I'm sorry I'm in such a rush, Saber might have our heads for dinner if I don't hurry with his meal!" She exited through the kitchen door. Meanwhile, Saber had continued speaking with Harold. "She's a fine lass," he said, slowly. Harold sighed, "It's been hard trying to marry her off.. She doesn't seem to like any of the suitors I pick, and hasn't taken an interest in anyone since the mutt.." he sighed, angry with the way she acted a lot of the time. He knew she would need to choose eventually, villager or prince. It was inevitable. "Wish she'd hurry up and choose.." Aria uttered a word of thanks, moving inside. Once in, she made her way to the window. Of course, she would need to squeeze through and possibly scale a wall or two, but it would be simple enough with her level of practice. She looked outside, eyeing the guards. She cursed lightly, knowing she wouldn't be able to sneak by them. She'd have to wait it out. She began making her way out of the bathroom. "The servants here are quite kind, sir," she informed Saber, hoping the compliment would have some kind of good effect for them

"I have a son that is near her age," he lied, thinking quickly. "We could combine our kingdoms' power if we become allies through marriage." He turned as Aria entered the room. "Ah yes, my child! I must remember to give them another raise for their efforts," he answered, staring at her.

Jag just nodded as his friend thought out loud to himself. There wasn't much he could add to make the plan any better! If they were going to get caught soon anyways, they might as well make it count for something. "Sounds like we'd better hurry up and catch that carriage! I'll bet the tracks are still fresh enough to follow them right to Saber's palace! Though.. it's probably a day's journey on foot." Jag sighed. Walking is so boring! "Maybe if you get into your guard uniform we could, ah, 'borrow' some of the guardsmen horses?" "No lad, not to Saber's palace. We'll follow the carriage when it's headin' back to its own Kingdom. However, 'borrowin'' some horses aren't a bad idea. Perhaps, you could go 'n volunteer y'erself 'n another, that being meself, to guide our royal guest back to his Kingdom. That way we aren't showin' up at their drawbridge without notice, it'll be a good way to build up trust first. Brilliant laddue! Just brilliant!", Vince said, taking hold of Jag's shoulders in his paws as he commented on how brilliant the plan was. "Course, we'll need a plan B in case this one don't work. I vote we do as you said b'fore 'n leave town. We'll journey to other towns 'n gather followers. I'm sure anyone in this blasted forsaken Kingdom would be willin' to join us if it meant takin' down that bloody Saber!", he added.
Jag brushed dust off of his clothes and pulled back his hair to make himself look presentable. "I already know a few good guards that are on our side. I'll go see if they want to come, and then we'd better get out of here fast. Maybe you'd better pack some things from your shop?" He scanned the shop, looking for something that might be useful to him, but he already had a full armor set, including his father's lion-engraved mask and sword. Briefly he wondered where his father might be. Maybe I'll find him when we're traveling? Though it's been so many years, I have no idea where he is or what he's been up to lately.

"But ah, first lad, what do you propose we do with 'im?", he asked, pointing at the unconscious hyenabled guard they encountered earlier that was just starting to wake up.

[ Back! It was great VuV ]
Aria sat down, looking down at her hands. She really didn't want to know whaf they were talking about or why Saber was looking at her like that. Harold, meanwhile, asked; "So, your son.. Is there any chance we could meet him?" He asked, hoping Aria would fall in love with the boy.
Sterling was still following the two closely, his belly brushing the ground. He began inching closer to them, now longing to kill just one of them.. He knew he had to end this before they got to Whalestron, the kingdom of his love.. No, this wasn't the time for romantics.. He'd kill them for Clarence, who was totally just his friend. He positioned himself so that he was almost directly behind Vince, ready to pounce. Of course, he may be easy to smell.
Clarence was still laying on the ground while Kaitlyn tended to his wounds. "Am I dead yet?" He asked sarcastically, now in his human form aside from most of his facial features. "Keep getting into fights like these and you will," she answered, finishing a stitch that caused Clarence to whine slightly.

"Well I suppose we could drop him off at the guard barracks just before we leave. I'd ask if he wanted to come with us, but he's probably horrified by us at this point!" Jag smiled slightly, trying to lighten the mood. Everything was all happening at once and the fast-paced life he'd been living recently had been taking its toll on Jag. You should grab your things, and I'll stop at the barracks. If you get done before me, maybe you can wake him up and talk to him? You're better with words anyways!" Jag turned to leave and exited the blacksmith shop. He held the door open for Vix. But as he was standing there for a moment, waiting for his friend to exit through the door, Jag sensed that something was wrong. Frantically, his eyes darted around, looking for danger, but the only thing he spotted was the group of people still hovering by where their fight was earlier. Something's not right..

Saber's stiffened at the question. But he knew they would ask about him sooner or later, so he had already prepared an escape. "The boy's out training in his swordfighting techniques, he won't be done with his mentor until late tonight." That will give me all day to find a stand-in prince!

[ All rested up now, XD ]
Sterling looked at him with hate, a low growl emanating from his throat. He moved closer, leaping at him. He landed squarely on his chest, knocking Jag over. He bared his teeth at him, ready to strike. "You deserve this.." he muttered, going in for his throat. He had seconds to react.
"Ah, I see," Harold said, easily believing him. "Well, I'm sure we'll be able to meet him once we get back here. Still plenty to do, specifically Aria here wants to check the village out." Aria turned slightly red at this. She didn't enjoy people knowing about her enjoyment of villages. They were always very interesting to her, and it was good to get away from the castle.

Just as Vincent was about to give his reply, he noticed Jag stop when the lion realized something was off. Vince didn't realize it until only seconds after, just before Sterling attacked his friend. He watched Jag to down and Sterling lock his jaws onto the lion's throat. Although Jag was incredibly strong, he was incredibly stupid and wouldn't react fast enough, as Vince has come to observe. Knowing this, the fox didn't think twice and leaped towards the two, landing on his fours next to Jag and taking hold of Sterling by his through in his jaws, pulling the mutt off of Jag and tossing him to the side in a ragdoll manner with as much force as he had, which was enough to throw him to about midway between them and Clarence. If he were to fight feral-like in his full fox form, he wouldn't have a chance as he'd be much more smaller than Sterling with strength to match his size, but in his anthro form he had the advantage of size and strenth. "I've had about enough o' 'ya, you blasted mutt! It'd be best if both our groups came to a compromise! That is, if you'll actually agree to anythin'!", Vicne growled.

Jag fell to the ground, dumbfounded. He couldn't figure out what was happening, but something was attacking him. Before he knew it the creature was gone, and he could see Vix standing over him, talking to the attacker. Jag was in shock and was in no state to think about anything, except how he felt kind of dizzy. His throat hurt. Instinctively he covered it with his paw, but he felt too tired to do anything else. It's a good think I have such a thick neck, I might just make it out of this, he laughed inwardly.
Saber nodded, glad that Harold bought his lie so easily. I need to speak with the girl alone, he thought to himself. How can I get this blasted king to leave? "My servants have prepared a fantastic room for you during your stay. Would you care to take a look?"

// Both of us are back from school now The female looked at the leopard, "You- you can talk?!" She stuttered, mouth agape at the sight of Flare talking. She didn't understand, she didn't even know she was a shifter. Not really answering the question, she stumbled a bit, grabbing the wall for support. "How-?" Was all she managed to say. Flare's ears drooped. His enemies had surely escaped by now. He was somewhat annoyed. Nobody else seemed to have seen where they ran off to, either. Flare figured it wasn't worth tracking them down at this point, so he figured he'd at least politely answer the outsider's questions. "Surely you've seen people like me before? Half man and half creature?" He looked at his spotted paws and tail. He always stayed in his anthro form; he'd never been taught to shift back into a man or into a full snow leopard. Flare was astounded that the girl had not seen a shifter in half form before. [ Hey guys! ] Sakari shook her head. "I didn't know there was such thing..." Her voice trailed off. She stood there a moment, lost in thought before swallowing hard and standing up straight. She took a deep breath. "I- I think they went down the street." She pointed to the direction she thought they went, but she stared, perplexed by the shifter.

Harold nodded, "Ah yes, we should get to see them." He said, looking over at Aria who looked slightly disappointed, "Dont worry, dear, we'll see the village later." He added. He didn't really think much of Saber's lusty gaze at her, only that his daughter wanted to leave so eagerly. Suddenly, servants burst through the kitchen door with armfuls of delicacies. They swiftly placed down dozens of plates on the table. Saber smiled. "I'll have someone escort you to your room, right after dinner. But for now, we eat!" He snagged a giant tuna and placed the entire thing on his plate, in a most unkingly fashion. He grabbed a fork and knife and quickly got eating.

Either she just entered the country, or she grew up in a cave, he figured, smiling to himself. Sighing, he did his best to change from a fighting mindset to a casual conversation mindset. It was the least he could do to be friendly to the girl. "Where are you from? Shifters are common here," he asked her.

This girl, just how far did she travel to get here?! Either way, I should help her out if she doesn't know what we are. "Shifters are just like regular people," he began. Flare asked jokingly. "If you were a shifter, one of your parents would have had to be one, as well. And of course, if you became very emotional, you might realize it, probably. You might sprout claws or something!" He laughed lightly, imagining this kind stranger suddenly going on a ferocious rampage. "Have you ever noticed anything happen before? Anything...weird, perhaps?"

Aria perked up, "Sir, do you think it would be possible for me to go with you?" She asked, probably mistakable as her wanting to be alone with Saber herself. Although in reality, she simply wanted to view the village. Harold chuckled, "You're not tired?" He asked her, followed by a shake of her head. She'd been looking forward to this the entire trip! Saber nearly leapt out of his seat at his luck. "Yes, yes! There is a fantastic village, not to far from here! Especially with my lightning fast horses, we can be there within an hour. I must be going soon, though. Will you come?" he asked Aria. He turned to Harold and added, "I'll bring along many guards, I assure you she will be quite safe!" Harold hesitated, he didn't necessarily expect anything bad to happen, but if that mutt really was hiding somewhere in this area.. "Very well," he said, "Just be certain to take care of her." Aria smiled, "I'll be fine, father. I can handle myself if anything did happen." She respobded, turning back to Saber.

I ran after him and the next thing I know, I woke up in the woods." She was quick to judge herself. "Maybe it was just a dream... of course, I don't remember all of it. It was just my young imagination," she kept telling herself that. She shook her head. "No, don't mind me, I must be going insane!"

A well-dressed servant showed up and Saber instructed him to prepare the carriage for a trip to the village. Another servant came to escort king Harold to his chambers. "We will be just fine! And your daughter here will have a splendid time. Have a good evening!" He waved at Harold, and left the dining hall to head for the courtyard.

"You know, I can't say anything for certain. It could have been a dream, but... you actually awoke in the forest? If you're not a ranger then you might have some kind of feral instincts in you! I'm sure you're hoping you're a shifter somewhere deep down. Personally I love being a shifter!" He flicked one of his ears with a fluffy finger.
