Flare followed close behind Kaitlyn. As soon as he realized his enemies were a shady looking fox and lion, his fur bristled. He stopped just behind Kaitlyn, ready to attack but waiting for her permission.
Jag was facing the other way when the small group arrived. "Huh?" He spun around as soon as he heard Kaitlyn speaking. Sheepishly he scratched his head. Vix probably wouldn't trust him to be a lookout ever again after this.

[ Lol okay XD I'm probably going to do some reading or something. Btw! Next week I have the entire week off, it's 'Fair Week' for our city thingy where there's a huge fair and apparently it's so big we get a week off of school. ( Just moved here last November so I'm learning stuff about it, Pennsylvania is great but I prefer Wisconsin ) ]
Aria sighed as she looked out of the carriage window for what felt like the millionth time. She and her father, the King of Whalstron. They were on a diplomatic journey to meet king Saber to negotiate things. And, of course, there was to be a galla around there. Aria enjoyed getting out of the castle from time to time, especially with permission. She normally snuck out into the surrounding villages to get a better look at things that weren't served on a silver platter. "So, are you looking forward to seeing the king?" Asked her father, forcing her to wrench her gaze from a group of people that looked suspiciously as though they were fighting, a wolf laying near two of their feet. "Yeah, I guess so." She answered, failing to conceal the giddiness from her voice. She began letting her red hair out of the ponytail she'd put it in while they left, letting it flow over her shoulders. "I heard this place was.. Well, magical," she said, still tending to her hair and face, a mirror now in her hand.
Harold, her father, beamed down at his daughter. He was a large, muscular man sporting a full set of royal armor and a great sword. His red hair stuck out from beneath his crown, he rubbed it as he spoke; "Yes, plenty of it in ours too," he replied, oblivious to his daughter's sneaking out, "Of course, it will be quite the experience for you. Never been inside a foreign kingdom yet, and you'll need the experience if you're to take over my kingdom one day." He chuckled heartily as their carriage made its way to the castle. In no time, they were stepping out into the courtyard to greet King Saber.

(Aw man that's so nice! I wish that was a state-wide fair so I could get a break too, hehe Fairs are great though, I hope it's a fun mini-break! Pennsylvania must get a lot of snow though since it's in the north That's a pretty big difference from Wisconsin!) Guards lined up in neat rows to greet their royal guests. A man was sent to help the new guests out of the carriage. He opened the door for them and helped them down. "Welcome!" he greeted them. A scribe was sent to King Saber, informing him that their guests had arrived. He sighed inwardly. He hated wasting his time pretending to be friendly with these neighboring countries, especially when he knew he was going to conquer them within the month. But it was necessary to keep them from becoming suspicious. Saber made his way through the great hall and emerged into the courtyard, where his guests were escorted to be waiting for him. "Greetings, my most important guests of the Whalstron Kingdom! I do hope your journey was a good one." He approached the pair, reaching out to shake hands with Whalstron's king. (Okay just realized, I really need a name for Saber's kingdom, and the town that we've all been rp'ing in, also)

(Okay just realized, I really need a name for Saber's kingdom, and the town that we've all been rp'ing in, also) Harold shook his hand, Aria curtsying, "Indeed, the journey was quite enjoyable. You take excellent care of your country, Saber," he said in a courteous tone, "I believe you do not know my daughter, Aria," he added, gesturing towards Aria who seemed to have the faintest sign of a blush. As previously stated, she had never been outside of her own country and found herself quite shy, "Pleased to meet you.." She said in a small voice. Harold didn't expect any trouble fom Saber, as he figured his army was likely larger and stronger than Saber's, although he knew he wouldn't be able to live with himself should his daughter be used as a hostage or even killed. It was his only weakness, aside from bleeding of course. [ Okay so we're learning about the Salem Witch Trials and I love it! It's so interesting to learn about and darkly humorous that they hanged people just because others said they were witches. Fun fact: They hung a dog because a delusional girl was saying it was possessed ]

(Yeah, those Salem days were crazy! Dang, that poor dog! That girl must have hated dogs for some reason, haha)
Saber smiled warmly. "It is a pleasure, my dear! I do hope that you enjoy yourself in this beautiful kingdom of mine." He turned to the other king. "Please, follow me inside. We may discuss business at dinner." He lead the way into the castle and into a smaller dining room that was made for when there were only a few guests visiting the castle. Servants ran before him to hold open doors. Other servants were trying to quickly prepare a meal for the royalty. Saber ignored them all and pulled out a chair for Aria. He gestured for her to take a seat.

She wasn't a fan of the royal meetings too much, and did plan on checking put that group she saw in the village. It looked like they were fighting, and obviously she'd be able to help.. Probably. Swords and bows were lessons she took both with and without her father's permission, she had her own weapons and they were hidden beneath the carriage, she put them there just in case something went down. [ Forgot to include they had like five of their royal guard people along with them and they'd probably be chilling somewhere outside or something, it wouldn't make sense for a king to be without his men XD especially after a journey ]

Sakari walked through the street, sighing as she went. It's so dull around here.. She thought to herself. She spotted a gathtering in the street, What's going on over there? She wondered, making her way over. She was sure to keep out of sight as she approached, her jaw dropped when she saw what was happening. "Hey!"She shouted, running out from cover, "What do you think you're doing?!"She reached for her sword.

Yeah, he'd definitely have a group with him!) "Thank you," Saber responded politely. "It was built many centuries ago by one of my great grandfathers, somewhere down the family tree. He always did have a thing for architecture." The king spotted a cobweb in the corner of the room and rolled his eyes at the laziness of his subjects. "Now, I know we didn't plan this meeting to make small talk," He said, eager to talk business. "Tell me, what kind of plans are we to make today? Do you need assistance fighting another kingdom close on your borders? Or, perhaps you wanted to join our two kingdoms together as allies? Your daughter is surely of marriageable age." He eyed Aria creepily.

We're drawing more attention to ourselves! They're going to tell the king no matter what, so we'd better just get out of here before every one of Saber's agents are on our tails." Jag grabbed Vix's arm and ran toward the fox's blacksmith shop. As soon as they were safely inside, Jag spoke to his friend. "Vix, I know you love your shop here but I think we've gotta leave town. It's too dangerous to stay any longer." Flare was following just behind Kaitlyn, but by the time he arrived at the scene he couldn't see where the fox and lion had run off to. Cowards! His ear flicked as he heard someone approaching. He quickly turned to meet her. "You! Did you see them? Where did they go?" He was in a rage and his usual playful mood was gone. "I'll tear them to shreds for doing this to my allies!" he growled. His eyes were cold and menacing.

Harold chuckled, eyeing his daughter's sudden look of apprehensiveness. He wasn't sure whether or not Saber had any heirs he didn't know about, and wasn't ready to pawn his daughter off to.. Well, Saber. "Well, I'm sure you are aware of the ongoing marauders currently plotting to overthrow several kingdoms," he started, "We found a rat in our own guard and have reason to believe you are being targeted." He wasn't one to tell people these things in person, especially when they were so.. Petty. "And aside from that, there is a man- Or, dog, on the loose. A shifter who tried to sleep with my daughter." He handed him a rather detailed portrait of Sterling. Aria, meanwhile, blushed. It wasn't entirely true, of course. Sterling, the handsome man, had wooed her. She was in love with him, but of course, her father labeled him as a street rat, and when he spotted him in her chambers, ordered him to be executed. He narrowly escaped with the help of Aria, who longed the day she would next see him. [ "Oh that Sterling, such a card" *laugh track* ]

[Lol yeah ] He shifted in his seat slightly, "Yes, many of my own men are shifters. I find them to fight considerably better than regular human men." He himself was a shifter, but few knew that. The last thing he needed was his daughter being captured under the assumption that she was a shifter when she was not. "We have a few bounty hunters going after him.. Hopefully they will return to us alive with the man's carcass. I know for a fact a few of them are shifters themselves, typically hunting animals with keen senses." Aria stood up abruptly, "Excuse me, where is the restroom here?" She asked politely as she could. In full truthfulness, she was planning on sneaking out. This was going nowhere fast. Sterling growled, beginning to stalk after the two as they fled the scene. They would probably be able to smell him, or even see him.But he kept low to the ground, itching to sink his fangs into their throats. He inched closer and closer, cursing as he stepped on a twig lying out in his path.

Flare's ears drooped. His enemies had surely escaped by now. He was somewhat annoyed. Nobody else seemed to have seen where they ran off to, either. Flare figured it wasn't worth tracking them down at this point, so he figured he'd at least politely answer the outsider's questions. "Surely you've seen people like me before? Half man and half creature?" He looked at his spotted paws and tail. He always stayed in his anthro form; he'd never been taught to shift back into a man or into a full snow leopard. Flare was astounded that the girl had not seen a shifter in half form before.

Saber waved a hand with little effort, and immediately a servant came to his side. She gestured for Aria to follow. Going back into the great hall, the servant pointed at a door in the corner of the room. "It's right over there, dear." She said to Aria, beginning to walk away. "I'm sorry I'm in such a rush, Saber might have our heads for dinner if I don't hurry with his meal!" She exited through the kitchen door.
Meanwhile, Saber had continued speaking with Harold. "She's a fine lass," he said, slowly.

However, 'borrowin'' some horses aren't a bad idea. Perhaps, you could go 'n volunteer y'erself 'n another, that being meself, to guide our royal guest back to his Kingdom. That way we aren't showin' up at their drawbridge without notice, it'll be a good way to build up trust first. Brilliant laddue! Just brilliant!", Vince said, taking hold of Jag's shoulders in his paws as he commented on how brilliant the plan was. "Course, we'll need a plan B in case this one don't work. I vote we do as you said b'fore 'n leave town. We'll journey to other towns 'n gather followers. I'm sure anyone in this blasted forsaken Kingdom would be willin' to join us if it meant takin' down that bloody Saber!", he added.
