It is tough, especially when you don't have a lot of time. I wish I could draw every day (that used to be my goal) but it's rare that I get to draw every day now. I'd like to think I've improved, but sometimes it's hard to tell (: What is your favorite medium and thing to draw? && no new projects (: I had to put a few of my projects on hold, but I am working on one of them right now! How about you?
Well, I'm writing a bunch of stuff right now, I had a wave of inspiration. I'm working on a sort of short story (kinda?) and collecting my poetry that I've written through the years, putting it on Wattpad. I'm worried about juggling everything with school, but I think I can manage now that I've had some experience.

Ye. I have been meaning to watch it for ages ever since Spark suggested it to me.  It looks like a really good anime. Oh interesting! Makes me curious to know which you had heard of. XD I have seen Good Omens ... 10 times ... Which sounds very excessive and it is. I had to show it to all my friends and the way to do that is to drag them into a room and sit and watch the full thing with them. I did this 9 times and one time just for myself. XD READ THE BOOK! Love the book. When I heard about the TV show I couldn't believe it. I was waiting for it for 4 years. Pfft. Nah, I love to read. No fear here! Black Butler is a confusing manga. XD I keep up with it off and on. It might be ... more confusing because I read bits of it out of order. Ooooh! You'd like World Trigger, I think. It seems very 'other world' in my opinion. Good anime too. Saaaaaaame here! So far I've got a streak of 1 day of good sleep. I'm trying for a second tonight.
I've heard of Beautiful Creatures, I think I watched it xD I've heard of the Discworld series from a number of people but I never read or watched anything about it! I really should look into it x3 LOL! That is excessive, but I can't imagine it getting boring :3 I still have to read the book, it's waiting on my shelf xD I have way too many books, I swear. I've seen a lot of movies and a lot of books! Btw, I just finished reading Howl's Moving Castle! I have to say, I enjoyed it a lot! It feels older than it is, it brings back memories of reading the Narnia series and similar titles.
Bisco Hatori is a great writer and artist, she's behind the Ouran High School Host Club series? That and her newer series, Behind the Scenes!! is really good. Trigun is one of my all-time favorite series, you should definitely check it out (read or watch). It's funny, it's heartbreaking, and it's sci-fi mixed with a cowboy aesthetic. It's great! I have loads more I could recommend xD

Prophet; Oh, nice! I like getting new supplies (: I've never used those kind of markers before! I generally just use classic pencil XD I also like acrylic painting and I've recently used chalk. But pencil is what I'm most comfortable with. I'd like to venture out more in the future XD I would say my favorite thing to draw are realistic human portraits, but I also like drawing full body humans. I'm just not very good at anatomy XD
That sounds fun! It must be nice getting it all organized XD Good luck with all your writing! (:

You should check her out! I'd call her a classic read, in modern terms. Ignoring the early days of manga and anime xD Trigun is honestly so great, it transcends time, it doesn't feel like a 90's anime at all (well, if you ignore the art!). My favorite is the main character, Vash. That may be cliche, but he's such a good character. Another character called Wolfwood is up there though, he'd definitely be my favorite if he was featured more (such a shame he gets so little time in the anime). Do you have an anime that you'd say defies the passage of time? Or a movie? Either one xD

Hmm, I don’t think I’ve ever tried to draw in brush tip markers  I’m imagining it might be tricky! & I wouldn’t say I’m a pro by any means, but I do enjoy it (: I’ve mostly just stuck with acrylic because it’s what I first started painting in xD I haven’t done many portraits in chalk, but I like it because I can mix the colors (: I’ve painted a few portraits, but the majority of my portraits are mostly pencil. I so badly wish I could draw more cartoon-y full body people so that I could draw my characters xD I’ve done said drawings before, but I’m not confident in them to do them often enough. I need to practice, but a lot of times I just end up sticking with what I know, which has become portraits. Do you like to draw your characters? |

Brush tip markers are really popular with a lot of artists. They're nice and smooth to work with (like paintbrushes), especially with alcohol-based ink. They're also expensive, especially for the high quality ones. I have like four different brands now because I wanted to try them, but it feels like they run out so fast. I think I prefer painting to using them.
That's cool, acrylic is a good place to start. I do like to draw my characters, I wouldn't say I'm good at it but still xD I'm struggling to improve, I draw as much as I can. I've also been trying to practice with digital. Some might say I'm impatient, but I'm not satisfied with my skill level. I wouldn't say drawing is a passion, more just art in general. Are you thinking of it as a long-term hobby, or are you just testing the waters?

Hmm, interesting. I don’t think I’ve even seen them, come to think of it. But I’ve defintely heard of them. I don’t have enough money for something really expensive though xD

I feel like I’m a little impatient, too, but I’ve definitely seen improvement in my art over the years, so that makes me realize that I am getting somewhere xD I don’t draw nearly as much as I’d like to, but I’d say it’s a long-term hobby and a passion (: I’ve been drawing all my life. Wow. My friend got me really strong mint candy from China. o.o Currently me and my mother are in the same book club! We were supposed to read Tale of Two Cities, but we've both been swamped. @.@ Noooo. That's so sad! Beats the time I decided to get attached to a character who turned up for only 5 panels of a comic. C'X Huum. That's a tough one. o.o I don't watch enough animes or movies from older than the early 2000s, so I can't really say for sure yet. A lot of the Studio Ghibli stuff, perhaps? |
