(We understand that you had no control over not being able to be active, Spirit, but that doesn't change the fact that the leader of the clan must be present. I would also like to point out your activity. "If I disappear randomly I do work a lot and sometimes dont have time to get on." Again, it may not be your fault, but it's still not okay for roleplay purposes.

(Spirit, that really is something that is best privately messaged between you and Cinnamon. Your last post in the clan was on the 22. It does suck that your internet was cut off, but you haven't posted for eight days in the clan. By all means, based on the rules, Cinnamon has every right to assume you have gone MIA and might never respond. It has happened in other clans we have been a part of. Whether you had notice of your internet being turned off or not, and whether you could have warned us or not... Is a bit besides the point. I'm sorry. )

Mosspaw stiffened in surprise, failing to dodge Shadowpaw's mock attack with a clumsy step to the side- inadvertently putting himself right into her paws. He recoiled with the jab underneath him, and rolled to the side, allowing the force of her push to throw him out of range. Once back on his feet, he pushed forward his paws outstretched for a frontal paw blow, hoping Shadowpaw was still slightly off balanced from her jump backwards. -------- Minnowheart let out a mrrow of laughter, watching the kits play-fight. Secretly, she hoped she would get one of the kits as an apprentice- she could definitely see her and the timid Rootkit getting along well. Their apprentice ceremony couldn't be that far off, right? She stiffened a little bit as Larkeye cast her protective glance over- would she be mad that Minnowheart had been encouraging the kits? Queens could get very protective sometimes... ------ Owlshadow snorted, casting his gaze around. "They left you, an apprentice, alone out here to wait for us? I knew Blazestep was a lazy furball but I didn't know he was so irresponsible too" Owlshadow growled, his tail flicking irritably. "Briarpaw, you obviously have enough sense to stick with your clanmates. You pass this assesment." He meowed curtly, biting off the end of his sentence. Ivypaw, on the other hand...He shook his head, casting away his disappointment. The tom had so much potential- so why was he so frustrating to train? (sorry, was still sick until yesterday!) Shadowpaw tripped, and fell on her face, but training taught her to roll away from the other apprentice in case of another attack. "Wow! Nice!" she complimented him."I liked that last move, it really caught me off-" she then unexpectedly ran forwards, and jumped into his back, using all of her muscles to push him down as she jumped off of him again. |

(Thanks for everyone's patience! I had to deal with real-life circumstances and was unable to get to my computer yesterday, but as of now the front page has been updated to reflect recent circumstances, and the RP will continue as normal from this point forward!) (If you need extra clarification on the events of the past few days and the status of the RP, I will provide some context under the cut here, otherwise RP is continuing on as normal. Thanks!) An activity check was performed on 3/31 in which some users were flagged as inactive and the clan hierarchy changed slightly. As stated on the rules board, this activity check was announced beforehand and followed the guidelines outlined on the front clan page. Two of our users fell into the category for "Inactive" and one of them, being the owner of a high ranking character, was replaced.
I sent PMs to both users outlining the situation, reminding them of the rules and requesting that they PM me if they had any questions. Both users were invited to continue RPing, as their characters would not be removed from the clan unless they were still inactive by the next activity check. The exception to this being that high-ranking characters would be replaced, to keep the clan running smoothly.
User Spiriteddecay (untagged), (the previous owner of the leadership position) understandably, was not happy with this decision. She asked me clarifying questions about the situation and made counter-arguments as to my decision. Given the circumstances and the nature of her response, I felt as though it was best to let my decision stand, given my discomfort with her posting/activity history. This led her to make responses in PM (which will remain private) and postings in the clan page (deleted) which were somewhat inflammatory. This has since been resolved and left in the past. Per her request, her unused characters and the details of her previous leader character have been altered or deleted, to prevent unwanted use of her intellectual property. This request I respect and will honor.
The RP will continue on as normal past this point, with the plotline progressing so that the remnants of the leader character will be removed from canon entirely. "Munestar" is now Stonestar and will be in leadership only briefly before being replaced completely. I intend to fully honor the rule that one user may not hold more than one position of power at a time, and will do my best to progress the RP so that I will not be playing the role of leader and deputy. However, given the circumstances, I see this option to hold both places for the moment as the best to keep things moving smoothly and passively.
Finally, I want to remind everyone that any warnings or rule violations are always done over PM, both to protect the privacy and feelings of users as well as to keep drama out of the main thread. If you have an issue with me or another user, it is not appropriate to push that drama out into the open where other users will be inadvertently dragged into it. If you feel you are not getting the desired response out of my approach to resolve conflicts, please contact a lead (website) moderator, not involve outside users. This leads to misunderstandings and even more negative emotions. Obviously, I cannot prevent anyone from behaving in a way they see fit in an outside thread, but so far as this clan goes, those are the rules. If you don't like them, don't post here. Stonestar pads out of her den behind Blackbrook, surveying the camp. The dawn patrol had returned, and so too it seemed had the hunting patrol. The fresh kill pile looked as full as it could be, given the time of year, and everything seemed well enough. Still, she felt a nagging sense of danger with Blackbrook's words hanging over her, and it tool all of Stonestar's energy just to feign a calm demeanor. Spotting Speckleclaw and his kits sitting with a few other warriors, she padded over, dipping her head in greeting. "Hello Speckleclaw, Minnowheart" She meowed, nodding to each of them in turn "How fares things for you all today?" ------ Mosspaw let out a yowl, half surprise and half excitement. Shadowpaw was a pretty good fighter! As she landed on him, he let his left side go limp, her weight pushing him to turn down into the dirt. It still hurt, his nose rubbing into the sand, but at least this way when she jumped off him she would be thrown slightly off balance. Mosspaw tried to think as quickly as he could. I'm stronger than her, but she's a whole lot faster than me.. I have to anticipate the next time she's going to make a quick lunge at me and use my weight against her.. Springing back to his feet away from her, he turned, waiting to see how she landed and if she would come back at him again. ----- Owlshadow wrinkled his nose at the sight of Lilysun cooing at Blackbrook. He respected his friend's ability to be such a smooth talker, but couldn't he be a little less obvious with his targets? Even a blind kit could tell that Lilysun was infatuated with the dark medicine cat, with her excitement to speak to him and the way she watched him around camp. She was a good enough cat, he thought, but a little misguided with her affections. Snorting indignantly, he got up, padding over to the fresh kill pile to get something to eat. Perhaps he could find better company elsewhere, if Blackbrook was so insistent on feeding his ego with the she-cats affections. |

Speckleclaw picks himself up higher and dips his head to their leader, "Stonestar. All fares well. Hunting is picking up.." he looks at the fish that Rootkit is currently nibbling at. He looks to Minnowheart, she would probably have more things to say than him.

A blind cat could see Lilysun's affection towards him. One reason alone he thought she may have tried to be his apprentice.. was so she could spend more time with him.

Minnowheart nodded in agreement with Speckleclaw "Yes, I took a hunting patrol out to the river south of here and found that the fish are there already. I'd imagine that in a moon they will be large enough to feed a cat very well" she reported, trying to talk up the obviously small fish that had been added to the pile.
Stonestar nodded, feeling satisfied with the report. It was good news to hear that the prey was starting to return after the long leafbare. She turned to Speckleclaw, noticing with relief that Larkeye had wandered off to see Briarpaw.
"Speckleclaw, your kits have grown well, and I think it is about time they be apprenticed. I think as the sun sets today we should have their naming ceremony" she meowed, looking over the two kits who had certainly outgrown the nursery. She felt a pang of pity for Larkeye- the queen would not take the news of her kits beginning their training well.

She positioned herself so her belly and throat would be guarded, and she growled playfully at him. "Good job." She panted. |

Lilysun couldn't help but purr happily. It was always good to hear the clan was doing well. And he was letting her tag along. Maybe she could do some hunting on the way? "I'm happy you think so." She tried to keep the excitement from her voice, but she followed after him with a little bounce in her step. Maybe she was super obvious, but she couldn't help it. Blackbrook made her feel good.

Mosspaw's tail twitched, his eyes bright "You too. You had me worried there in the beginning that this would be too easy" He growled playfully, ears flicking back.
He charged forward, rearing up on his back legs for and upright lock. Ripplestorm had just recently taught him this move- it was good for finishing off an already weakened opponent, and was a smart move for Mosspaw to use with his brute strength and size advantage. It did require some speed that he hadn't quite mastered, though, and he hoped he brought his weight down fast enough before Shadowpaw could strike at him.

"Is it time?" He looks over the two kits with a frown. They certainly grew up quicker than expected, and Larkeye would not be pleased at all. Larkeye had honestly hoped that Stonestar would forget about the two kits.
"I suppose it is." The sooner they started their apprenticeship, the sooner the clan could benefit from some extra hunters too. Larkeye might cause a scene, however. "Alright.. but let me be the one to tell Larkeye."

"Of course I think so." He looks about the camp once... He would have to talk to Dawnripple soon. Dawn would save the clan... How much did the cat know, if nothing... perhaps he could put some of his own influence in there. He also had to speak to Owlshadow soon, once they returned he would.
As he passes by his friend he dips his head in a brief greeting before turning his attention back to Lilysun, "I see the hunting is starting to pick up, the clan will be flourishing soon enough. I imagine there will be more kits coming..." Though, he hopes Larkeye will not be having anymore, her nerves couldn't handle it.

Shadowpaw had senced that Mosspaw would run forwards, so she ran to one side, and then burst forwards, knocking into the reared tomcat. She pushed against the other apprentice as hard as she could against his leg, trying to get him to fall down. She might be small, but she was strong. She then backed away as far as she could |

Stonestar nodded, knowing that Speckleclaw felt apprehensive about Larkeye hearing the news. She knew the queen was a good mother, but her nerves had long worn out her usefulness as a good warrior, and Stonestar feared what life would be like for Larkeye after her kits went to their apprenticeship.
"Of course, whatever you believe is best for her" she meowed, gesturing with her tail towards the kits "but these youngsters have waited long enough, and they are strong enough now to begin their training. I want their ceremony to be done this evening, so that they may stand vigil tonight"

Mosspaw grunted as Shadowpaws weight hit his legs. He was momentarily surprised that she hadn't taken the opportunity to take a blow at his exposed belly- definitely a weak point. A surge of triumph went through him as she battered at his legs. Perhaps if they were fighting claws unsheathed he would have faltered, but he had planted his feet firmly and easily held his ground against her push. She was still quick, though, and he barely had time to bring his weight down on her before she sprang back away from him again. Hopefully now he could use his size fully to his advantage, and wrestle her down so she couldn't escape.

Lilysun couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking about. He seemed preoccupied about something. But she knew better than to ask. If the medicine cat had something to discuss, it would be with their leader. Not her. She'd chosen to be a warrior. "Who do you think will be the next?" Lilysun tilted her head to one side curiously. Maybe it was a shallow activity, but she enjoyed trying to guess who would end up with who in the clan. And Blackbrook was the medicine cat. Maybe he noticed more than she did.

Speckleclaw's expression drops when Heatherkit brings up possibly being Dawnripple or Littlespring being her mentor. He would have to give them the benefit of the doubt when it came to mentoring, he supposes.

Stonestar nodded "Then I'll leave you to it. In the meantime, I'll need to go gather my report from Owlshadow" She meowed, excusing herself.
Minnowheart shuffled her paws uncomfortably, not sure what to say. She felt like she had intruded on a private conversation. But nobody had asked her to leave..
"Ah, Speckleclaw.. congratulations but, also sorry?" She meowed, not sure how to approach the subject. She knew he would of course be proud of his kits, but she felt bad that he had to deal with Larkeye. Of course, he wouldn't be her mate if he couldn't handle it, right?
Stonestar made a beeline for Owlshadow, who was still seated outside Blackbrook's den. She eyed him over, looking for any reason he would be waiting for the tom. "Owlshadow, are you hurt?" She asked pointedly, noting that he had a particularly sour expression on his face after watching Blackbrook depart with Lilysun.
Owlshadow tried to sit up a little straighter, hiding his disappointment. He had wanted to check in with Blackbrook and complain about Blazestep's annoying behavior, but he'd gone off with that stupid swooning she-cat. Of course, he didn't want Stonestar to know he thought that way, and so he smoothed over his pelt, speaking calmly. "Oh, no. Just looking to talk to my old friend. Seems he never has time for me now, with all of his duties" He meowed, feigning sadness, when in reality he was mostly just irked.
"Ah, of course. I sometimes forget how close you and Blackbrook were in your youth" Stonestar comments "Well if that's all then, there is some business that has been brought to my attention that I'd like to discuss with you" She meowed, gesturing for him to follow her to the leader's den.
