Cherrystripe looked at the ground. Hiding her smile, she thought for a moment. If Ashflight sees me like this.. maybe he'll get jealous instead. And he would know how i feel.

Fallenlight kept his slackened pace and he noticed Cherrystripe struggling. He didn't want to wear her out before the even started hunting.

Cherrystripe focused on where she was running and she began to see the rocks at Snakerocks. She began to sow down. "We shouldn't go too close to snakerocks." The she-cat meowed.

Fallenlight skidded to a stop. "You're right." he panted as he walked back towards Cherrystripe.

Cherrystripe stopped and sniffed the air for prey. Smelling a mouse, she turned towards where the scent was the strongest.

Flicking his ears Fallenlight heard a Thrush not too far away and began to hunt it.

Cherrystripe watched the mouse scurry in the grass. She crouched low to the ground and began to stalk it, feeling the grass brush against her belly.

Fallenlight found the thrush pecking away underneath a fern. He scented to make sure he was downwind.

Cherrystripe waited for the right time and pounced on the mouse. The mouse, trapped between Cherrystripe's paws, let out a squeak before Cherrystripe gave it the killing swipe.

Fallenlight pounced on the thrush before it could give off a warning call. Picking up his kill, Fallenlight looked around for Cherrystripe.
