Autumnpaw crouched low, well trained and patient before she sprung like a tiger, catching the crow.
"Mighty job, partner! Caught ourselves a big ole' burd." She mocked Peachdapple and Yarrowcloud's accents with a bright grin as she inspected the crow.

Autumnpaw gave a wink of thanks before padding in her own direction. She approached the covered hole Yarrowcloud had fallen into a moon ago. She thrummed with curious adventure but had to move past it to hunt. She followed the scent of mouse.

Autumnpaw gave a quiet cheer as she pounced on the mouse, giggling before lifting her catch to bring back to their crow.

"They should call you Jumppaw. That was pretty high." Autumnpaw had seen Wolfpaw making the catch, trotting up to nod at the Sparrow.
"Not bad at all!" She grinned, with no taunt this time.

Wolfpaw huffed, picking up his prey. "Funny how you notice what good your clan mates are doing when you aren't brining them down." He moved to walk away.

Autumnpaw flicked her ears at that.
"The only cats who are brought down are the ones too sensitive not to stick their chins up and scoff. If you know you're not what I taunt you for, you should have no problem shrugging it off." She gave a snort of laughter.
"I meant it. It was a good catch. But man you are boring." She huffed, moving to pick up her catches and wave her tail. Maybe she'd go explore today.

Wolfpaw growled at her. "Not everyone has the luxary of being born to two Thunderclan cats." He snapped back at her. He took his sparrow and stalked off. Wolfpaw always had to prove himself, prove he was loyal to his clan. He was half shadowclan after all. If he goofed off or didn't try his clanmates would cast him aside as unloyal due to his heritage.

Autumnpaw growled at that, ears flattening. She stormed after him, baring her teeth in his face.
"Boo hoo, so your father lied and had you with a Shadowclan cat, who cares? Seems to me you think you're not good enough because of that. Pah. I may have two Thunderclan parents, but don't think for a second it makes me entitled. My mother wasn't from Thunderclan either so you can shut your jaws and stop crying like a kit!" She hissed, eyes glaring.
"You can be mad at me all you want, I don't care, but making excuses like that won't work forever."

Wolfpaw stopped in his tracks, bristling at her. "Shut up. I wasn't making excuses." He snarled at her. "But not everyone can have the luxaray of being able to goof off and still be loyal. I have to prove I belong here." He snapped. "Now get out of my way."

"Nobody expects anything more out of you than anyone else. And if they do, ignore them. You gonna let everyone step all over you cause you're half-clan? Hah. Snowstorm's kits are half-clan, alot of us are pure rouges. Nobody's better than anyone else." Autumnpaw did not back down, glaring at him. Maybe he was fearful, she had hoped he wasn't so cowardly like this.
"I may goof off but I'm serious when I need to be. With my family, with my battle training. I'll protect my siblings and I could care less what cats say about me." She lifted her chin.

Wolfpaw bristled, she was so infuriating! "Try telling the rest of the clan that. You're assumed to be loyal." He snapped. "Everyone else thinks I'll make the same mistakes as my father." He moved to step around her. "Now get lost. I'm done with you, you are selfish and uncaring about anyone's feelings but your own."

"Yeah, well you may think the clan likes or trusts you less, but you don't know me at all! How dare you say I'm uncaring? I love my family, and the clan may doubt your loyalty but at least they let you stay, and at least I'm not a coward! I've suffered plenty in my life but at least I'm brave enough to be optimistic and fun rather than paranoid and whiney like you!" She called after him, upset for the first time but not letting it show.
She was not uncaring. She adored her family, lost her big brother and held her siblings when he was buried, alongide her 4 other siblings, who she wished she could have met. The clan worried Wolfpaw wouldn't be loyal, but they worried she and her siblings would die like Acorntail's kits had a horrible tendency of doing. She took a breath, calming herself and reminding herself that she was better, she could easily find a better cat to talk to. So she turned away from him, huffing.

Autumnpaw felt the words sting her deeply, but didn't respond, storming away from him. Stupid coward. If he felt this clan was so picky, maybe he should just hop on off to Shadowclan. She didn't need cowards like him. Even so, while she may have been annoying, she was a very caring cat, and to be deemed as uncaring made her angry. Wolfpaw hardly ever did stuff with Fernpaw, Autumnpaw lived to keep her little siblings happy. She swallowed her quick shake in demeanor and moved to retrieve her mouse.

Wolfpaw hurried to the border. He looked across, sitting down with a upset huff. Why did he have to be burdened with half clan anchestory. He felt his body shake with a sob. He just wished his mother was here, he never got to meet her.
