Frostmoon watched silently, though she sat close to Forestblaze. While she was not angry with Mistpaw or Pebblepaw, she couldn’t find it in her to cheer like some of her other clanmates. There was something about their mentors being Ghostscreech and Willowsong that made her chest ache, and a part of her coldly reminded herself that Ghostscreech was better off with a friend like Willowsong than one like her. Besides, surely they would be training their apprentices together all the time now, them being siblings after all.
“Mistpaw! Pebblepaw!” Dawnpaw cheered brightly for the new apprentices.

Willowsong beamed as she padded over to Pebblepaw, touching her nose to the young tom’s. “I’ll teach you everything I know.” she promised quietly.
Seafoam, Shadowblossom, Nettlepatch, Cloudysky, Flamesky, Blizzardstorm, Darktail, Tansykit and Twilightkit cheered for the new apprentices.
Webstripe cheered for the apprentices quietly but sounded far less enthusiastic than the rest of the clan.

Pebblepaw purred as he touched his nose to Willowsong's. "I'm ready to learn," he promised. "I'll be the best apprentice that I can be."
Mistpaw stood silently behind her new mentor, waiting to see if Lightningstar had anything to add.

Scarletpaw nearly bristled out of her pelt the moment she saw Sunthroat’s eyes train on her, Hollowpaw and Yellowpaw. She quietly cursed under her breath, trying her best to offer an unwavering and innocent look, though she knew that the former deputy would see right through it. Hmph. No matter! Hollowpaw had caught her first prey, and surely that would be worth it. It wasn’t like she was going to learn just sitting here in camp!
“Sunthroat’s caught us.” Scarletpaw whispered to Hollowpaw with a huff. “I bet he’ll tattle. But he’ll have to be impressed by your hunt, surely.” She promised.

Hollowpaw felt the fur on her neck start to bristle at Scarletpaw’s report, dropping her squirrel and mouse on the fresh-kill pile. “How mad does he look?” She whispered to her new friend. Hollowpaw knew that sneaking out had been a risk, but she couldn’t stand being cooped up in camp anymore. It had felt nice to get out and wander the forest a bit, she felt that the more time she spent out there, the better she can be able to move around.
Sunthroat watched as the apprentices dropped their prey off before motioning for them to come and sit by him, his expression clearly leaving no room for any kind of argument. He didn’t want to let them get the chance to sneak away from the scolding they were going to get.

You shouldn’t have to be blamed for being treated like you’re a kit.” Scarletpaw decided, lifting her chin defiantly and starting to pad towards Sunthroat with a flicker in her eyes. |

Lightningstar let the cheering die down before speaking. “I also have one more thing to say. The twolegplace hunting patrol was a success yesterday. Ghostscreech’s patrol managed to bring back lots of prey. I hope these hunts continue to go well.” He spoke before ending the meeting and jumping down.

Sunthroat flicked his tail when the three apprentice’s joined him, turning his attention to them when Lightningstar ended the meeting. “Care to explain to me why the three of you were out all night without Warrior supervision?” He asked, his face adopting his regular stern expression whenever he was dealing with a troublesome apprentice.
Ghostscreech turned his head to Willowsong and the two apprentices, “Wait here a moment. There’s something I want to discuss with Lightningstar.” He said before moving towards Lightningstar.

And we brought back a solid bunch of prey, just as you saw!” She tried to reason. |

Hickoryshade called from her space next to Sprucetail, the two siblings sharing a shady spot they had chosen during the ceremony. She continued. "How are you feeling?" "Are you gonna ask him that everyday?" Sprucetail scoffed with a small chuckle, knowing that Hickoryshade's blunt nature could be a bit intimidating. "It's not like we found him strewn about on the territory yesterday, he's walking and talking just fine... right?" He looked at the other tom. |

“Sorry, I won’t keep you long.” Ghostscreech mewed, giving a flick of his ear. He had noticed Lightningstar spending more time in his den lately and Ghostscreech felt another stab of worry at the thought, but he kept his expression clear as he spoke to his leader, “I thought it might be a good idea to take the remaining apprentices out for a joint training session. If it’s alright with you, I would like to take them after I send out the remaining patrols.”
Hollowpaw sat beside Scarletpaw, her ear flicking nervously. “Scarletpaw helped me with my hunting technique.” She murmured, shuffling her paws.
Sunthroat eyed the apprentice’s as they explained their actions, giving a flick of his tail, “Yes, I saw your prey, and I’m sure the Clan will thank you for it. But that doesn’t explain why you were out on the territory all night without your mentors or with any other warrior.” He said.

Scarletpaw argued, her tail lashing against the ground as she scowled lightly. "We were all together anyway..." |

Lightningstar nodded his head lightly. “That sounds like a good idea.” He agreed with a light purr. He supposed his nap would have to wait. “I’d like to observe if that’s alright.” He spoke. “I haven’t been out with an apprentice in moons.”

I especially owe Peachdapple and Aspenfall my life and Lighteningstar my undying loyalty, while my clanmates have my gratitude all the same." He then steeled his gaze with determination at Hickoryshade's comment "I'll make sure to prove myself to you all, I don't want to be a burden for any longer than I already have, I'll hunt the entire forest if I have to." |

Ghostscreech perked up when Lightningstar asked to join the training session, a light smile forming on his face, “Of course. I’m sure the apprentice’s would like having you there.” He mewed. Perhaps he had been too hasty to start worrying about the old leader after all. “I’ll send out the patrols and then we will be ready.” He said, dipping his head and moving to address the gathering warriors.
Sunthroat flicked his ear at Scarletpaw’s words. Silentflare hasn’t been letting Hollowpaw out of camp? He turned his stare to the blind apprentice, wishing he had noticed sooner that she hadn’t been able to train properly. “Is this true, Hollowpaw?” He asked her now.
Hollowpaw’s ears flattened as she gave a hesitant nod. She might have been frustrated with Silentflare as her mentor, but she didn’t want to get him into trouble with the former deputy either.
Sunthroat sighed, closing his eyes as he stayed quiet for a moment, “Alright. I’ll have a talk with Silentflare later. For now, you three need to get ready for training. Ghostscreech has something planned for all of the apprentices, and I don’t want any of you missing it just because you were all a little ambitious. We’ll discuss a punishment later.” He said sternly, dismissing them with a wave of his tail. Sunthroat had spoken to Ghostscreech the night before, agreeing with the current deputy’s idea of a joint training session. And it seemed that Lightningstar did as well, judging from the way Ghostscreech looked when he had gone to set the patrols up.

Willowsong waited patiently with Mistpaw and Pebblepaw for Ghostscreech to come back, she turned to the new apprentices with a smile. "We'll give you a whole tour of the territory, Pebblepaw we're going to start on the basics of hunting and then maybe in a few sunrises we can start working on some battle moves."

Scarletpaw nearly sighed with relief that Sunthroat didn’t seem to be skinning their hides, though she inwardly grimaced about the group session, knowing how long they’d been out of camp. Ah well, she supposed sleep was for the weak, after all… even if she did feel tired. She refused to be slacking behind the other apprentices, so she stubbornly nodded and mewed. “We’ll be ready!”

The flashes of the vision he had seen at the Moonstone made the fur along his spine ripple, and he tried his hardest to keep it flat as he faced Peachdapple. The flashes of the vision he had seen at the Moonstone made the fur along his spine ripple, and he tried his hardest to keep it flat as he faced Peachdapple. "So... where do we even start?" he asked, sitting down near a pile of herbs. “One part of my vision was clear as the morning sky.” Peachdapple rasped, taking a deep breath before exhaling. “And it has to do with my father. Mine, Yarrowcloud’s and Silenflare’s. I always had a feeling that he would awaken in the Dark Forest when he died, but I realize now that he still is not done. I fear he is going to target Silentflare, and that the Dark Forest may be meddling in our Clanmates once again.” She started, not one to beat around the bush. “I saw your startled expression at the Moonstone.” She offered. “What did you see, Aspenfall?” |

Ghostscreech gave a nod to Lightningstar before turning his attention to the warriors gathered before him, “Alright. Nightfang, take Shadowblossom, Mothsong and Owlfrost and check the RiverClan border, make sure to mark the border along Fourtrees as well.” Ghostscreech began smoothly, wrapping his tail around his paws as he spoke, “Thrushwing, lead Brackenheart, Mapleleaf and Nighteye along the ShadowClan border. Nettlepatch, I want you to take Panthersight, Magpiewing and Southmist to check the SkyClan border. I don’t want to slack off on checking our border with SkyClan because of this new alliance we have, we don’t want them to think that we’re letting our guard down.”
Ghostscreech paused for a moment before he moved on to the hunting patrols, “Vixenrose, take Mistlight and Slatesight; and Plumfur, you’ll take Forestblaze and Swallowcry. Your two patrols will be the first hunting patrols for the day. The sunhigh hunting patrols will be led by Russetfox and Cloudysky. Russetfox, you’ll have Midnightstream and Flamepelt with you. Cloudysky, take Leopardfrost and Featherfoot with you.” He instructed.
Hollowpaw followed after Scarletpaw, a sense of relief flowing through her, “I thought you said he was mad.” She mewed to the other apprentice, flicking her ear. Sunthroat had sounded stern, but not angry. And she was surprised that he hadn’t punished them right then and there.
Sunthroat watched as the apprentices left before he turned his head towards Lightningstar, giving his old friend a smile. “You’re in a good mood today.” He commented, purring lightly.

“Eh, he looked mad from where we were. I guess my words got us off the claw.” Scarletpaw licked her paw and groomed her ear, reminding herself to look as awake as possible. “All I know is that if there’s going to be training, we better pray that you actually get some actual training in, huh?” She scoffed. “By the way, it was fun hunting with you. You’re pretty cool, Hollowpaw.” She decided casually.
Vixenrose nodded to Ghostscreech, moving to gather her hunting patrol. She did turn to shoot Scarletpaw a knowing look, one that promised a stern conversation when she returned. Scarletpaw cursed when she noticed it, far more weary of her mother’s scoldings than any other Warrior’s.
Featherfoot stretched, preparing for his patrol.
Mothsong did not react to the deputy beyond a faint flick of her tail as she just silently waited for Owlfrost to come around.
Thrushwing lifted his tail for his patrol to gather around him.

Aspenfall's ears fell at Peachdapple's recount of her vision. What she had seen was completely different from his own. "The Dark Forest..." he bristled. How was that connected to what he had seen? Was ThunderClan going to be destroyed from the inside out? "Is there anything we can do about him? My vision... it was completely different. I saw prey in an endless field in numbers that I've never seen. The prey all started attacking each other, and blood was everywhere. But, Peachdapple, I swear some of the animals were dying without even coming to blows. What could it mean?"
Nighteye, Slatesight, and Plumfur all listened intently to Ghostscreech.
