Ghostscreech was waiting by the camp entrance with Eclipsestorm, waiting for the rest of their border patrol to arrive. Ghostscreech was going to lead them to check on the the RiverClan border, and he still felt a bit frustrated the RiverClan had taken Sunningrocks once again. He felt that his apprentice was ready for some more advanced battle moves and decided he would show Dawnpaw a couple today. Frostmoon had slipped out of the Warrior's den, though she froze when she saw Ghostscreech and Eclipsestorm. That was the border patrol, probably to Riverclan's border. Her stomach curled, and she hoped that she wouldn't be called on the patrol. She still held plenty of self-ridicule for her leading her patrol to a loss of Sunningrocks. She averted her eyes. Dawnpaw was already ready for Sunthroat by the time the former deputy arrived, and he greeted his mentor with a bright look. "Sunthroat! What's on the agenda today?" He teased, lifting to his paws excitedly.

Ghostscreech spotted Frostmoon and quickly called out to her before she could disappear. He still didn’t understand why she had suddenly started to avoid him recently, and had wondered if he had done something to upset her. “Frostmoon! Care to join us for a border patrol?” He asked, leaving Eclipsestorm to wait at the entrance and catching up with Frostmoon.
Sunthroat gave Dawnpaw a light smile, “Battle training. There are a few moves I would like to show you today.” He said, leading his apprentice out of camp and towards the training hollow.

Frostmoon inwardly cursed, knowing that to refuse the deputy was not a look she wanted to have, she forced herself to look up at the tom, hating the way she wanted to look at him for as long as she could. She swallowed and mewed, voice steady but light. "Oh... yes, that... if you need another Warrior, I'll always do my best on patrol." She slowly approached, but stopped a few paces away, closer to Eclipsestorm. "Sounds fun!" Dawnpaw exclaimed, scampering after his mentor. He looked up at Sunthroat and let out a light sigh. "Tigerpaw and Scarletpaw were arguing with the other apprentices again. I swear, it's like everyone pulls eachother's whiskers. I just want to sleep sometimes, you know? All that drama..." He shook his head. He loved his brother and sister, but he often found himself a bit flustered with how standoffish they could be.

Ghostscreech gave her a smile, relieved that she agreed to go but felt slightly disappointed that she still kept her distance from him. “Right, we’ll just need one more. I’ll go see if there’s anyone else that can come with us.” He said, heading towards the warrior’s den. It would be safer to take four then just three. RiverClan might not have any interest further than Sunningrocks, but it never hurt to be carful. He had already set up the other patrols and sent the first ones out, so theirs would be the last to leave.
“That so? What was it about this time?” Sunthroat asked, remembering the argument at the last gathering he had to break apart between Scarletpaw and the other apprentices from ShadowClan. His whiskers twitched in amusement at Dawnpaw’s last statement. “There’s always going to be some sort of drama going on in the apprentice’s den. I could tell you many stories from mine and Lightningstar’s time in the apprentice den myself.” He chuckled, stopping as they reached the training hollow.

Frostmoon opened her jaws, wanting to respond, yet feeling the words die on her tongue. Ghostscreech had better things to focus on than her nerves going near Sunningrocks. She glanced at Eclipsestorm, but quickly looked away again, not wanting to look foolish in front of her. Instead, she squared her shoulders and cleared her throat. "Yes, that... Four sounds good." "Scarletpaw's been going off the bramble about Panthersight, lately, er." Dawnpaw startled, remembering suddenly that Panthersight was Sunthroat's son. "Not that he did anything wrong or anything! Scarletpaw's just really competitive, and she said she could totally beat him in a spar if her mentor wasn't so young, and then Tigerpaw told her she thought she could beat Starclan in a fight, and then Scarletpaw called Tigerpaw a wet mouse, then Tigerpaw threw moss at her." Dawnpaw chattered, before he gave a sigh. "Sootpaw told them to shut up, and then Drizzlepaw got all nervous, so then Flurrypaw tried to make her feel better... Hollowpaw just slept right through it all, it's pretty impressive how she can sleep through so much!" He purred. His eyes grew bright. "Oh! Tell me about your apprentice days!"

Ghostscreech pushed into the warriors den, looking to see who was left after the other patrols. (Got anyone that can join?)
Eclipsestorm gave Frostmoon a friendly smile, “How are you today?” She asked, hoping to make some other friends in her new clan. It had been a bit difficult getting on with her den mates in the apprentice’s den, having come from the Twolegplace and being Lightningstar’s apprentice. Maybe the warrior’s den would be a bit different, she thought to herself hopefully.
Sunthroat laughed at the mention of his son. It wasn’t like Panthersight to rile someone up, so he must have some sort of interest in Scarletpaw if he was challenging her. “I’ll tell you another time. Right now, let’s focus on your training.” He said, facing Dawnpaw. He motioned for the apprentice to get into a ready stance, falling into one himself as he did. “I want to show you a new move. Go ahead and attack me when you’re ready.” Sunthroat rumbled, turning a serious look to his apprentice.

(Ye! I got some!)
"Sunningrocks?" Autumnfall lifted her head, looking at Ghostscreech and lifting to her paws. "Sign me right up, I'm always ready for a border patrol. If you guys can keep up, that is." She challenged with a confident smirk, before she followed after Ghostscreech.
"Oh." Frostmoon started a bit at Eclipsestorm's voice, though she quickly flattened her fur and looked at her. "I'm doing well. Warrior duties, and all that. Sorry, uh... I'm not the best at casual conversation, but... I'll try?" She offered, wishing she was as social as her father sometimes.
"Right." Dawnpaw focused quickly, eager to learn from Sunthroat. He crouched, positioning himself into the battle stance he had practiced as much as he could, before he lunged at the former deputy.

Ghostscreech gave Autumnfall a nod of gratitude, leading her back to where Eclipsestorm and Frostmoon waited. “Thank you, Autumnfall. I want to keep a sharp eye on the RiverClan border for now. I don’t want them to think we’ve been affected at all by them taking Sunningrocks.” He said.
“That’s okay. I thought I would ask, you look down about something. Is everything okay?” Eclipsestorm asked her, flicking her ear.
Sunthroat jumped back as Dawnpaw pounced at him, quickly bouncing off a tree and landing almost on top of his apprentice and pinning him down, “A jump and pin move. It’s a bit of a complicated move, but I think you’re ready to learn it.” He mewed.

Frostmoon had been ready to respond to Eclipsestorm's question, only to feel a jolt as she heard Ghostscreech's words as he approached with Autumnfall. She felt herself prickle with unease, surely he had to be referring to her loss in battle. She could already see it, him being embarrassed by her inability to keep hold on their territory. Surely he had to be talking about her! She felt her chest ache as she took a deep breath and pointedly looked away from Ghostscreech. "I'm fine." She mewed curtly to the she-cat, shaking her head. "It's nothing." Autumnfall tilted her head a bit at Frostmoon's sudden curtness, but she quickly focused on Eclipsestorm and teased. "Oooh. We get to patrol with two of Lightningstar's apprentices. How special are we?" Dawnpaw looked up at Sunthroat with awe at how quickly he had preformed the move. The apprentice pulled himself to his paws and gave an excited look. "I'm totally ready! Please show me how to do it!"

*Dumps cats on table* hmmm who should we pick? )
Seafoam exited the elder's den with a yawn, stretching out in the cool leafbare air. Looking around the camp, she wondered if one of her kits would be up for a walk with her in the forest.
Shadowblossom was sitting at the corner of camp, pulling at a thorn stuck in her fur. She sighed as it just seemed to get more tangled with each tug.
Blizzardstorm headed towards the nursery, eager to see his kits. He purred at the sight of Tansykit and Twilightkit tumbling around near the entrance of the den.
Darktail was eating a scrawny mouse, frowning as he worked to try and get as much meat off the bones as he could.
Flamesky padded back into camp, looking around from Brokenwing.

Mistlight sat outside the nursery, watching her three kits tumble and fight. She sighed softly, they’d be apprentices soon and she wasn’t sure was ready for that.
Southmist exited the warriors den with a yawn, having gone on a midnight hunting patrol. She shook out her fur before looking around and spotting her mother infront of the elders den.
Lightningstar sat outside his den, muzzle almost gray now. He sighed, soon it would be time for Ghostscreech to be leader. He hoped he had prepared his apprentice well enough.

"Got something stuck?" Yarrowcloud rumbled with laughter as he limped up to Shadowblossom's side, turning his head to train his good eye on her pelt. "We can't have that, your pelt's too pretty to be mussed up with thorns and dust." He purred, doing his best to try and help her get the thorn out of her fur.
Midnightstream pushed herself into camp, looking tired and ruffled. She had slept awfully last night, hardly getting enough time to rest. Bad dreams, all of the sorts. She did brighten ever so slightly when she caught sight of Darktail across camp.
Featherfoot looked around for Tigerpaw, wanting to do some battle training with his apprentice. Tigerpaw was certainly doing well in his training, though Featherfoot had an inkling that he and Scarletpaw could get into trouble if left for too long. He poked his head into the apprentice's den, calling for the younger tom.

Tigerpaw lifted his head from where he was sleeping at the sound of his name. He grumbled softly and burrowed deeper in his nest. “It’s cold out!” He complained. "Well, it is Leafbare, so I'd imagine so." Featherfoot chuckled sheepishly, before the black and white tom padded into the apprentices den and approached Tigerpaw. "We'll warm up during our battle training today. I have a new move that I want to teach you. It just might give you an upper paw the next time Scarletpaw tries to challenge you to a sparring match." He offered. Bossing Tigerpaw around wasn't going to work, but maybe incentivizing him to would work.

Tigerpaw opened one eye to look at his mentor, ears pricked in interest. “A new battle move?” He questioned before lifting his head. “Why didn’t you say so!” He jumped up, sending moss flying. “Scarletpaw keeps beating me and I’m sick of it!”

Blizzardstorm dipped his head to his sister, settling down beside Mistlight. "How are you doing this sunrise?" he asked cheerfully.
Twilightkit scampered over to his father, batting at his tail as he settled down beside Mistlight.
Seafoam approached Southmist with a smile, "Hello dear, are you busy? I was hoping someone would want to go on a little walk through the forest with me."
~~ Shadowblossom huffed a laugh as Yarrowcloud began to work on the thorn. "Sometimes I think my fur is just a little too long for our territory. It always gets stuck in the undergrowth! Thank you for the help, I don't think it would ever come out if I kept at it."
Darktail looked up, accidentally locking eyes with Midnightstream he felt his fur grow hot. Giving her a rather nervous smile, he beckoned her over.

Featherfoot smiled, relieved to see his apprentice now up and awake. He gave a sympathetic look. "Yeah, siblings can be pests when they learn something new before you do. I saw Sunthroat taking Dawnpaw out and I knew I had to make the score a bit more even. You did so well hunting yesterday, you've earned it." He decided, waiting for Tigerpaw to follow after him. "Shh. We won't let Scarletpaw or Russetfox know, yeah?" He teased.

Mistlight looked at her brother as he settled down next to her. “I’m good, how are you?” She asked him with a purr.
Southmist touched her nose to her mothers briefly when she approached. “I’d love to go for a walk.” She spoke. “I’m not on any patrols this afternoon.”
Tigerpaw hurried out of the apprentices den after his mentor. “It’s no fair Dawnpaw gets to train with Sunthroat! He was a deputy so I bet he has all of the best battle moves.” He complained. “And yeah don’t tell Scarletpaw! She’ll beg Russetfox to teach her too!”

"It certainly does make it a bit more challenging to keep up, when Sunthroat knows so much. But. I have battle skills I learned from no other Warrior. They're... a bit more creative." He admitted, having never been able to fully get rid of his tactics for survival when he had grown up in Twolegplace. Instead, he had managed to fit his style to his liking. Perhaps this would help Tigerpaw with variety in combat.

"Are we ready?" She asked, giving the two a friendly smile. Ghostscreech gave a nod to Eclipsestorm and looked over at Frostmoon. When she looked away from him, he felt a slight frown form on his face before he shook it away. "Yes, let's get going. Those borders aren't going to mark themselves." he said, leading the border patrol out of camp. His tail tip flicked lightly, he would have to wonder about his relationship with Frostmoon later. For now he needed to focus on his deputy responsibilities. Sunthroat gave nod, his whiskers twitching in amusement at his apprentice's excitement. "Alright. For this move, you need to have something behind you that you can jump off of to get over and past your opponent. And you need to time it just right so that when you jump, you will land directly on top of your opponent so you can pin them down." He instructed, directing Dawnpaw to stand in front of one of the trees surrounding the training hollow. "For now, lets work on your jump and landing; I'll just stand here, so try to pin me down, okay? Once you get used to it, we'll move on to having me charge you while you perform the move."
