Shadowblossom hurried to join Hornetstrike and Silentflare, shaking out her pelt in the process. "Are we all here then? We should get a move on. It's getting dark already."

Tansykit let out a shrill mew as Flurrykit's paw made contact with her nose. Not satisfied with her attack the little kit took another stumbling step forward to bat at Flurrykit again. This time making contact with his shoulder.

Blizzardstorm watched his daughter and Flurrykit with a deep purr. "She really likes you Flurrykit. Once she's opened her eyes, you may have a little shadow following you around."

Suki nodded, "I know that, but you know especially after the fire they may be on edge. If they don't notice I'm pregnant right away they could attack first. But we'll just wait here until a patrol comes by. I'm sure there should be one coming soon."

"Oh. Yes." Hornetstrike nodded, snapping out of his thoughts and looking at Shadowblossom with a respectful nod. He looked at Silentflare then, offering a small snicker at the tom's well known mood. At least he knew that Silentflare would be serious on every patrol. Though, he supposed not the most fun cat to goof around with. He followed the black cats with a flick of his tail.

Flurrykit sat down on his haunches, giggling as Tansykit swatted at his shoulder. He flicked his tail towards her, trying to copy all the times Orangebreeze had played tail chase with him and his sister. He felt a bit giddy at Blizzardstorm's words. Tansykit would want to follow him? "Wow. I guess I have to be the best apprentice then, if I'm gonna teach her a bunch of stuff too!" He decided.

"If they even come close to you, I'll protect you with my life. Clan cat or not, nobody will harm you on my watch." Indigo promised, brushing his muzzle to his mate's cheek with a look of brave promise.

"Woah!" Flurrykit squeaked with surprise as Tansykit's tiny claws scored his pelt. It stung a bit, and the older kit shook his fur quickly as he gently nudged Tansykit away. "You got a strong paw, but no claws! Lightningstar will scold you!" He exclaimed.

"Oh, that's a good idea! I almost forgot that the clans have medicine cats. Surely she'll look at you, Feather is her kin after all. Surely we're friends after that?" Indigo perked at the idea, the thought of a trained medicine cat checking over his mate making him feel much better.

Silentflare made his way towards the border. After a while they came up on it, he flicked his tail before speaking. “Let’s spread out to mark it, that way it gets done faster.”

Blizzardstorm grinned, trying to stifle his laugh at Tansykit's antics. "She doesn't know better yet Flurrykit. She didn't mean it. But you can make sure she remembers those rules in a couple of days okay? I'm sure she'd love to have a real play fight with you."

Tansykit suddenly tired, stumbled her way back to Squirreltail's belly, latching onto her mother for milk.

Suki began nodding in agreement before she froze, "There's someone coming!" she exclaimed getting to her paws. "Hello?" She yowled. "Thunderclan?"

Shadowblossom hurried towards Hornetstrike at the tom's worried tone, only to further bristle at the sound of someone's call. She frowned as the voice sounded vaguely familiar to her, who could it be?

Silentflare headed over to Hornetstrike when he called. He got there a few moments before the two liners appeared. He bristled lightly before speaking. “What are you doing here?”

Blizzardstorm shook his head, "You didn't scare her, she's just very small right now. Even taking a couple steps for her is very tiring. It'll take a while for her to have all the energy and strength to keep up with you and the other kits."

Silentflare glared back at Shadowblossom a moment. “The clan is fine.” He spoke quickly. They didn’t need to tell them how they were struggling, even if they were allowed on the territory.

Shadowblossom shook her head, "Yarrowcloud has retired, he is at the camp. It is good to see you both too." Scanning the two visitors she gasped as she took in Suki's swollen belly, "Suki are you expecting kits?"

Suki purred, nodding bashfully, "Yes, we are. Um if it's alright with you, we would really like to come visit the camp? We won't stay long I promise. We just haven't seen Feather is such a long time!"

"Retired? He seemed so lively the last time we saw him!" Indigo gaped, before he blinked and shook his head, deciding to worry about that later. He stepped closer to his mate as soon as Shadowblossom spoke about their kits. He puffed his chest proudly, though he gave a weary look in Silentflare's direction. The dark tom seemed sharp, and Indigo suddenly remembered why he looked so familiar. This was Feather's uncle. They shared the same eyes, and the same patches of black fur, after all. 

Hornetstrike looked carefully between Silentflare and Shadowblossom. Suki being pregnant with kits changed alot. He knew it would be unwise to send her back when the sun was setting, even if it was a bit shameful for them to see their recovering clan. Even so, he knew Lightningstar would handle this better than anyone. He offered to Silentflare. "If we let them at least visit for the night, then they can leave by sunrise. Maybe this could be a good thing." He leaned closer so only the other tom could hear him.

"Do you suppose they could give us something in return? I bet their Twolegplace is crawling with prey..."

“We don’t need to take them back to camp right now.” Silentflare protested, looking at Shadowblossom. “Not after the fire.” What if they were not as nice as they appeared?

"If I may offer..." Indigo flicked his ears. "Where we are, there is plenty of prey and we could even steal some plants from the Twoleg gardens for your medicine cat. Please, Feather was like a son to us. We can't go without seeing if he is alright with our own eyes." He pleaded, looking at Silentflare with a pleading gaze.

Frostmoon chuckled as she finished up a conversation with Cloudysky, blinking kindly at the tom, before she waved her tail in good-bye. Her paws felt light with humor as she padded across camp. She looked up, only to see Ghostscreech nearby. Her heart fluttered, as it had begun to do so each time she saw the deputy. She swallowed down the confusing emotions before she mewed out. "Taking a break, are we?"

Yarrowcloud hobbled past the nursey, grunting as he pulled his limp leg along. He perked up though as soon as he saw Hollowkit, a purr filling his throat. "Hello, Hollowkit. Are you having fun with that mossball? You've certainly good at it." He mewed. In a way, he understood Hollowkit, though losing one's sight in one eye was different than being born blind. He remembered how she had been cruelly taken out of camp, and how he and the other banished cats had cared for her in the cold.
