Darktail nodded, his eyes flicking with concern for Midnightstream as Peachdapple worked around her. "Sure, I can lead you there whenever you need. Is the honey really worth the stings?" he asked with a tilt of his head.

Ghostscreech spotted Frostmoon and a group of younger warriors and started towards them, “Any of you up for a hunting patrol? The fresh-kill pile could use some more prey.” He mewed, nodding to them in greeting. Panthersight flicked his ear in annoyance at Scarletpaw’s comment, “No. I’m just going to get more branches so the elder’s don’t have to sleep in the cold wind.” He said, passing by her. Frostmoon turned to look at the deputy, blinking with a hint of interest, before she nodded quickly. "I'm always ready for a patrol if you need me for one. Are you leading the patrol?" She asked, trying not to sound as weird as she felt when he padded close to her. "Knowing your weaving skills, they'll be in the cold anyway." Scarletpaw taunted, her eyes glimmering with mischief as she clicked her tongue at the older tom. "Your paws are probably too big to do it correctly. Do you want any help?" She crooned.

Sure!) Magpiewing and Plumfur shared a mouse, though it was obvious which one was dominating the conversation. Aspenfall counted herbs in the medicine cat den as Peachdapple worked with the others. Nighteye groomed his fur outside the warrior’s den. Slatesight rested in the warrior’s den. Dapplenight shyly approached Plumfur and Magpiewing. He never was able to admit that Magpiewing's bold courage and strength intimidated him a bit, though he supposed that she wasn't all that different from his own sister. He swallowed, looking quickly towards Plumfur, finding comfort near his mate. "Ah...hello. How uhm...how are you both?" "You big lug. Did you know you sleep alot?" Hornetstrike chuckled, laying on his back in his nest as he glanced over towards Slatesight. Maybe it was the tom's larger size, or his knack to overwork sometimes. "I wish I could do that." "Watch out! Flurrykit!" Yarrowcloud called, hobbling awkwardly with a deep chuckle as Flurrykit rolled a pinecone wildly towards Nighteye. The kit had grown quite alot, now well into the size of an apprentice. Flurrykit's eyes widened as he bumped right into the older tom.

"Hi, Dapplenight," Plumfur purred, flicking her tail. She was grateful that he showed up to break up the conversation. "Would you like to join us?"
Magpiewing looked teasingly at Dapplenight. "Should I give up my spot for you, hmm?"
Slatesight lifted his head with a sigh. "I never used to be able to. Medicine cats didn't get much chance to rest." he pointed out. "And you've got your paws full with Whiteblaze and Frostmoon. They've got the energy for more than just two warriors."
Nighteye glanced down at the approaching pinecone, then at Flurrykit. "Hello," he mewed, humor in his eyes. He prodded the pinecone back at the kit.

Is the honey really worth the stings?" he asked with a tilt of his head. "If I have enough Blackberry leaves, then stings are just nothing more than tiny scratches." Peachdapple shrugged softly, her eyes flickering with humor. "I've harvested honey since I was a 'paw. Nothing is better for sore throats and to get the kits to eat their herbs." She flicked her tail lightly, tapping Darktail on the shoulder. She turned back to Midnightstream, chewing up one of the Blackberry leaves and spreading a polituce on the mossball. She pressed the bundle against Midnightstream's side, keeping it firm even as Midnightstream hissed between her teeth. After a moment, Peachdapple pulled the mossball away quickly, pulling the small stinger out with the cobwebs as the Blackberry leaf pulp stuck to the reddened skin beneath her pelt. "Ow!" Midnightstream complained, before she forced her neck fur flat, and the pain numbed back into a soft throb. Much better than before now that the stinger was out. "Starclan, that's much better. Thank you!" She exclaimed. "Easy as catching a baby mouse." Peachdapple rumbled with laughter, winking at Darktail and Midnightstream, before she turned to Aspenfall. "We'll need to collect Blackberry leaves today. Do you want to go out, or should I?"

Dapplenight stammered, shuffling his paws shyly at Magpiewing's words, flickering a glance up at her as he assured softly. "Y-you don't need to do that, really, I don't want to intrude on your spot, er...I just wanted to uhm...yes, I'll join you both." He finally managed out. "Mmm. Not as much as I used to." Hornetstrike chuckled. "You're the one with four kits. I've only got one. That, and Whiteblaze likes her alone time. She's the best." He purred, thinking fondly of his mate and her steady independence. "All I have to worry about now is the fact that my daughter very clearly is starting to moon after our deputy." He humored, hushing his voice in an almost secretive tone. "Hello Nighteye! Grandpa'll catch up sooner or later, I'm supposed to be keeping the pinecone away from him so he can get some exercise." Flurrykit explained with a little snicker before he flicked his tail and pounced after the pinecone. He rolled it between his paws before he gave a peal of laughter as Yarrowcloud managed to swat his ear quickly once he caught up. The elder turned his head to aim his good eye at Nighteye, purring at his former apprentice. "Flurrykit's so big now, I'm surprised he didn't bowl you over."

Frostmoon offered, looking at Ghostscreech with a serious yet conversational look. She never wanted to dissapoint him. "Snarky, huh? That's the best you've got to call me? Tigerpaw's called me far worse for far less." Scarletpaw snickered, before she pulled slowly to her paws. She stretched gracefully, her tail lashing as she decided. "I'll come with you. To make sure you do it right, of course."

There are still some burns that need more treatment, and that's the best treatment for it. Marigold should hopefully be growing if the bees are coming out." Peachdapple nodded to her apprentice, the trust she held for him present in the ease of her voice. She mewed. "Take a Warrior or two with you to help you carry them if you find the herbs we need."

Plumfur moved aside so Dapplenight could sit next to her.
Magpiewing twitched her whiskers. "I don't mind you joining at all. Any mate of my sister's is a friend." she reassured.
"That's true," Slatesight mused. He was proud of his kits and how successful they were. "Do you think she'll go for it?" he asked. "Your family could end up with deputy blood."
"He certainly has grown. He'll be an apprentice any day now, right?" Nighteye remarked, ducking his head to his former mentor.

Aspenfall nodded at the directions. "Right." He would need to remember to look for marigold while looking for milkweed. At the mention of bringing warriors he flicked his ear. I'd rather go by myself... he dwelled, stepping out of the den. Who would even be good to ask..?

Dapplenight exclaimed, a bit flustered but appreciative of Magpiewing's friendliness. Ususally she seemed so gruff, but Dapplenight could tell she was relaxed around her sister. He gently pressed close to Plumfur, relaxing into her comfortable warmth and scent before he murmured. "I will gladly be your friend, Magpiewing..." "My family already has deputy blood." Hornetstrike snickered, tilting his head towards the camp entrance to signify his kin in Riverclan. "Well, the part that's full of fish-scaled weirdoes. Though, I'm sure having ties to Thunderclan's deputy is certainly a perk." He teased, before he looked at his best friend. "Frostmoon is a brilliant Warrior and a hardworking cat. But when it comes to love and feelings? She's her mother's daughter alright. Can't decipher them to save her life." "Any day now. Featherfoot trains Tigerpaw, and I have nothing better to do, so I watch over Flurrykit and Drizzlekit whenever Orangebreeze needs a rest." Yarrowcloud looked fondly down at his grandson, who was now practicing his pouncing on the poor pinecone. "Maybe you'll be gifted with yet another apprentice when the time comes. I can tell that Lightningstar thinks that you're a sure fit for mentoring. You do very well at it." He admitted, praising the younger tom.

Plumfur gladly remained close to Dapplenight, smiling slightly. "I'm glad we can all get along." she admitted. It would be awkward for them to grow distant... not unlike her father's relationship with Magpiewing.
Magpiewing nodded. "We'll get along, even though we don't have a lot in common." she mewed, twitching her whiskers. Dapplenight was so quiet and shy, but she supposed it made sense that he got along with Plumfur so well.
"That's true." Slatesight agreed. Diamondheart was indeed related to Hornetstrike. "She'll figure it out. If Whiteblaze can, and she obviously has, I don't doubt that she will as well."
"That sounds like a good way to pass the time." Nighteye remarked. Part of him still couldn't believe Yarrowcloud was an elder. He still saw his old mentor as the wise and ready warrior that had taught him all those moons ago. "Another one? Are you sure?" he questioned, feeling bashful.
Aspenfall glanced around camp for a warrior to ask. He'd prefer to pick someone that wouldn't talk much and would listen to him. He passed over some of the nearby warriors before landing on Cloudysky. The tom was pretty quiet, but he didn't know if he was aware of herbs. It was worth a shot... "Cloudysky? I need to gather some herbs outside of camp since Peachdapple is busy. Would you mind joining me?"

Peachdapple’s eyes flickered over to Darktail as she nodded in acceptance to Midnightstream’s gratitude. “Be sure to take it easy. The Blackberry leaves will prevent infection. Any pain afterwards, I’ll be using more plentiful herbs. Until then, do not strain yourselves.” She gave an almost knowing look all of a sudden to her nephew, glancing between him and Midnightstream before she gave a small hum of laughter.

Nobody would...He shook his pelt. "I'm so happy with Whiteblaze. But even that took alot of time and work to figure out exactly how our relationship works. I just hope Frostmoon doesn't hurt herself or some other cat..." He sighed. "Am I sure? I trained you, of course I'm sure!" Yarrowcloud puffed his chest proudly. "You're as ideal a Thunderclan Warrior as they come, and you never failed to make me proud. I'm sure that Lightningstar saw that then, and sees it now." Darktail narrowed her eyes at his aunt, "Why are you laughing Peachdapple?" "Mmm." Peachdapple hummed lightly, the laughter dying down into a trill of peaceful humor. "I simply realized something, is all. Don't get your pelt in a twist. You look just like your father when you make that face. He used to question my laughter too, though it always led to us wrestling. I assume you'd rather not wrestle me?" She teased, flicking Darktail's muzzle with her tail. Midnightstream looked confused as she stood to her paws, but the thought of Peachdapple and Darktail wrestling was a funny one, and she gave a small giggle at the thought. For a medicine cat, Peachdapple was so large. Darktail was not small either, and she could imagine them lugging into a tussle.

He and Brokenwing are overdue for their Celadine treatments. Luckily, that’s one herb we have plenty of. I’m considering offering some to trade for Skyclan’s Milkweed if they have any to spare. With Lightningstar’s counsel first, of course...” She hesitated for a moment, thoughtful, before she shook her head and continued. “If you pass by your father, tell him to come to my den soon.” She nodded.
