"True... but Spiritstar has shown that she can put her paw down when necessary." Aspenfall mused. He hoped it wouldn't come to fighting. "I don't know much about leadership, but isn't that something you need to consider when taking on the position?"

“Who says that anyone needs to fight?” Peachdapple sighed, her ear flicking. “If Shadowclan feels they are entitled to Fourtrees, why can we not use what we can to support our own clan? Lavendarsky and Spiderpaw were very agreeable at the gathering, and we’ll be up and running faster with more herbs.” She offered.

Lightningstar nodded. “You can talk to Skyclan about the herbs.” He looked at Peachdapple. “If you believe we have enough to spare. I trust your judgement on that.” He spoke before looking at the warriors. “You are right. We can’t afford a battle now. We should heal and get stronger and when the time comes for Shadowclan to give it up we will be ready if they don’t.”

"ShadowClan did help us with the rogues when they attacked." Thrushwing flicked his ear awkwardly. "Perhaps, we should offer them this grace for now."

Seafoam flicked her ears, giving Sootclaw a look of exasperation, before turning to nod to Thrushwing. "We are in debt to Shadowclan after he helped get rid of Shadeclaw. We should at least let it go for now so we can heal and get our strength back."

“There is Twolegplace.” Ghostscreech suggested, flicking his tail in thought. Twolegplace would have a good amount of prey there, the only problem is that SkyClan territory blocked them from the Twolegplace, “We would have to pass through SkyClan territory, but perhaps Spiritstar would be willing to let us through. Especially if we are giving them some of our herbs.”

Autumnfall was incredibly curious as to exactly how the gathering had gone down. Curse her for not going to this one, especially since it seemed so important! Her eyes flickered around camp as she allowed Featherfoot to take over in watching his kits. She spotted Wolfshadow, her ears perking as she padded in his direction.
"I really miss all the conflict, don't I? Lightningstar seemed really ticked. Did it really happen, just like that?"

Shadowblossom sighed, glancing over at the meeting of the senior warriors. She supposed soon it would be her time to join them, the cold was already starting to cause an ache in her bones which annoyed her greatly, she wasn't that old! Spotting Yarrowcloud she padded over to him to curl up beside him. "This is too much excitement for me." she mumbled into his fur. "Why can't we ever have a moon of peace?"
Blizzardstorm and Nettlepatch headed out of camp, the brothers determined to find prey for Squirreltail, Mistlight and the other queens.
Webstripe was sitting in the corner of the camp alone, the tom had been quite reserved since the fire had taken his father.
Cloudysky and Flamesky worked together to add some more branches to the elder's den.

Nettlepatch spotted Deerleap looking lost, trotting over to the she-cat "Deerleap, do you want to go hunting with me and Blizzardstorm? He wants to try and find something for Squirreltail and I want to make sure Mistlight and her kits are fed." he mewed, fretting slightly for his sister.

Nettlepatch grinned "Great! We can use all the help we can get, and your right. The pile has been pitiful for days, I'm not sure anyone has gotten a proper meal." he replied as they joined Blizzardstorm again.
Blizzardstorm dipped his head to Deerleap. "Hello, glad you've joined us." he mewed before setting the pace into the forest.

To have killed her own clanmates...He looked at his mate, empathy in his eyes, knowing of her dark past with such a subject. He licked her ears gently. “It’s not your fault. I don’t blame you for reacting to it...If I could, I would sneak away into the Warrior’s den to be with you. Maybe you can sleep in here with me when it gets colder?” |

He leaned close to her, breathing in. |

Shadowblossom let out a weak purr, "Your fur isn't you." she replied softly. "Sometimes, especially when it's cold at night, I think about how easy it would for me to go to Lightningstar and tell him I'm retiring, but.. I can't do that. I'm not even a senior warrior and there's nothing stopping me from being a warrior. I like it even, but it's not the same without you beside me."

I miss being an apprentice, and making Lightningstar exasperated everytime I would run off and explore...I miss sleeping next to you and hunting with you.” He took in a deep breath, before he offered a small smile. “But I can’t bear to take you away from being a Warrior like that. I’ve never wanted anyone to stop being them for the sake of me. I’ll wait everyday until your fur gets grey, so you can join me, and we can be those sappy old elders who tell stories and can’t hear farther than two taillengths.” He moved to press his muzzle to her cheek. “Spend as many moons as a Warrior as you can. Train apprentices, and support our clanmates. I’m not going anywhere.” |

All I can do is keep living, and live my adventures through you and our sons. I spent long enough feeling sorry for myself...and I’ll be okay. Bored at times, but not unhappy. I miss the forest, but it’s not really going anywhere. I’ll just have to hobble to it sometimes.” He laughed. |
