Peachdapple gave a light hum and a frown.
"I think you may be right. Well, for now, we'll get you some Juniper and Catmint." Peachdapple nodded, moving to crush a few of the berries onto the Catmint leaves, pushing the mix to her leader.
"Eat this and rest. Moving around too much may spread the illness, and we have too many queens and kits to let illness spread.

"Oh. From day one you have been stubborn. Pray tell, I swear my brother got that from you." Peachdapple sighed with a friendly yet tired look in her eyes.
"Do I look old, Lightningstar?" She asked idly.

"Ah, I feel it sometimes. All this time, in this den." She looked around slowly, eyes resting on the small hollowed patch of the den she never let anybody rest in. That was where Heatherpaw had lived. She blinked as the small she-cat's image faded.
"The same part of me that wants to return to warriorship also tells me I still won't have what I always wanted." She hummed, gently flicking her tail against her stomach. She chuckled lightly.
"I think I miss Sunningrocks. Not the rocks only, but in battle too. But if I leave this den, Starclan, Mossfeather will badger me like she always did."

Lightningstar looked at her. "Peachdapple.. You've given your life to serve this clan. If you feel you can't anymore you can always step down." He told her softly. "If you feel a call in another direction then perhaps you must answer it."

Peachdapple cast her gaze on Lightningstar, blue eyes as focused as always. She hummed.
"Maybe one day...but not now. There is still much to do...and Starclan is strong with...feeling. Something is telling me to keep on this path for now. If I cannot have kits for my clan, it would be best to heal others' kits instead, for as long as I can." She nodded.
"I wanted to ask, off topic, but how is mentoring again? And another member of my family at that?" She chuckled.

"I do enjoy mentoring." Lightningstar admitted. "And I was sad i couldn't mentor for a while but it's one of my favorite duties as a warrior." He spoke.

"I think almost all of us enjoy mentoring." Peachdapple purred lightly. She sighed.
"They say Closesky of Shadowclan mentored 6 apprentices. He must have been quite the warrior..." She had never battled him, so she didn't know much.

"I mentored two wonderful cats. I miss the first with all my heart, and my last is a gift to the clan." She smiled lightly.

"I can only hope it'll be a while before that happens. Starclan, I wonder how our old clanmates are doing. Brackenshade, Quailsong, all them. I scent them sometimes." Peachdapple stood.
"If you weren't coming down with an illness, I'd ask for your company in a walk. But we can walk later." She admitted.

Peachdapple looked a bit unsure, but she simply nodded, a short walk might help. She led him out of camp, knowing Sunthroat and Slatesight would care for the clan while they walked.
