Peachdapple dozed lazily in the middle of camp.

Dapplepaw listened quietly to the patrol of senior warriors, looking up at Belle-Mare, Smallstorm and the others. These were highly important warriors and he didn't want to make a fool of himself.

Belle-Mere trotted along with her head held high. She sniffed the air every few steps checking for prey. She glanced at Dapplepaw and smiled softly.

Yarrowcloud practiced his battle moves, fighting in his unique style due to his one eye. He swiped and rolled, using his body to feel around him rather than his eyes.

Brokenpaw was watching at a distance, amazed that Yarrowcloud could do that.
Sunthroat was grooming his fur outside the warrior's den, having just gotten back from border patrol.

With hindered eyesight, Yarrowcloud's hearing and scenting were stronger. He stopped, shaking his fur.
"Don't try coming up on my blind side, I can still hit you." Yarrowcloud snickered, his bad side facing Brokenpaw knowingly. The cloudy eye moved unseeing.

"Nonsense. You'll be ready when you want to be ready. The question is, how badly do you want to be a warrior, Brokenpaw?" Yarrowcloud flicked his shredded ear, facing his whole face at Brokenpaw to look strongly and lazily at her. The accented tom chuckled.
"Peaches did it again. Slatesight really learned well. Your eye, it looks great. Not a spot of infection." He nodded.

Yarrowcloud nodded, but moved slowly. He stated.
"First, always know your surroundings leaf by leaf, the first few weeks will be brutal tripping over stones...which is why you quickly feel the ground around you with each step, because you need your good eye for the hunt. Try to train in rocky areas to really develop a skill for navigating." He instructed.
"Second step. Scent in. Can you tell the slight increase in scents? Losing a sense can increase others, such as hearing and smelling. If needed, close your good eye and depend on the scents over your sight. Once you catch a whiff, that's when you pad with confidence. Make sure you see the path before you, every stone, every obstacle, and make a perfect path in your head." He lectured.

Brokenpaw nodded, listening carefully and scenting the air and doing as he said. She stumbled over a rock that was in her path but quickly regained her footing.

"After a stumble, stay still and assess the ground in front of you with your good eye. Where there is one rock, there may be many. Do you see any?" Yarrowcloud easily manuvered around 3 rocks he had seen a few moments ago.

Yarrowcloud led them to the leaf covered forest floors, where rocks were not a problem. He spoke.
"Stalk your prey at an angle. Use your good eye to its best abilities, and if they prey runs to your bad side, think fast and lash your blind side paw out where you believe it will be, not where it is." He crouched, catching scent of a shrew, waving for Brokenpaw to watch.

Yarrowcloud quietly walked at an angle, turning his head slightly. The Shrew moved as he prepared. Scuttling to his blind side, Yarrowcloud suddenly lashed out his blind paw and slammed it onto the shrew, whipping his teeth down to kill it.

Brokenpaw nodded and scented the air. Moving carefully, she started towards a mouse that was scrabbling around under a tree. She moved like Yarrowcloud had with the shrew.
