Torcha Torcha is a sage, respected for his wisdom and power. Kings all around the word used to come to him for his advice, until he seemed to drop off the face of the earth. Where he really went was to serve the Black Knight, but he keeps this secret to anyone who meets him.

Cadem was about to respond with a snide remark when he noticed the wounds on her arms. He didn't like her so far, but someone her age shouldn't have injury like that. "Um.. What happened?"

Cadem could tell the girl didn't want to talk about it, but he convinced himself he would find out what happened some day. Seeing the marks made him think about his own life; despite being a soldier, Cadem had never had any serious injuries, let alone at the age of the thief. Maybe he was being too hard on her. "Okay. That's okay. Um.. I'm Cadem." He held out his hand.

"An easy target? That's ridiculous. You just.. Caught me off guard, that's all." Cadem couldn't help but smile, and then feel surprised at how quickly the tension between him and Bree had dropped. "I'm Cadem. A soldier for the king's army! Or.. Well.. I was." He dropped some of his background, hoping she would do the same. He was becoming curious about who she really was.

Cadem mumbled his answer, but if someone really concentrated, they might have heard him say "insubordination." He wasn't proud of it, but it was how it was. "It doesn't matter how I got kicked out anyways! Because now I'm travelling with the prince himself!" He tried not to notice the book she was holding. He had never seen a mage, so he wouldn't have known either way if it was a spellbook, but clearly it meant a lot to her.

"You's sure a fan of the royalty," She commented, raising an eyebrow when she heard something that sounded like "insubordination", although she didn't know what that meant, so she didn't say anything of it. She really didn't get it- he just seemed like a normal high class citizen, one who expected everyone to love him. She felt a taste of disdain in her mouth, but decided not to voice that type of displeasure, not yet. Ren told her to give the guy a chance, maybe he wasn't as bad as his father or the other upper class. She highly doubted it, but promised she'd come with a somewhat open mind.

"The royalty did a lot for my family. Well.. They did a lot for my family because my family did a lot for them. The only reason I'm here is because they took a chance on my father, and he ended up leading them to many victories. Then they took a chance on me, and.. Here we are." Cadem really was proud of his history, but he hadn't ever lived the difficult younger life that his father had. His father had always told him to respect those with less than him, but he had never really met anyone besides family members and other soldiers.. Except for Bree. "Listen.. I'm sorry about being all, uh.. Stuffy. It's just.. We didn't meet on the best terms. But if the prince is willing to forgive you so easily, I guess I can too." Cadem tried to make himself sound sure, but he wasn't certain he pulled it off.

"I guess we didn't meet on the best of terms, did we?" She said with a short laugh, before opening her spell book and grabbing a torn coin pouch from it, and stretching it out towards him, as if it where a peace offering. Although she wasn't exactly willing to give the prince a chance, not yet, this guy didn't seem half as bad. She couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy when she heard that the royalty had helped his family out a lot. "Next time put your pouch somewhere where its hard to grab," She told him, almost looking sheepish.

"Oh! Uh.. Thanks, Bree." Cadem took the pouch gingerly and noticed it felt substantially lighter. He almost made a comment, but decided against it. "It looks like we'll be spending a lot of time together, so.. May as well be in good company, right?"

As the morning progressed lady Eliza had left her brother to his devices, so that she could do what she did to every village before leaving it. She had learnt this from her mother before she had been killed, and her words still rang true today. 'You brother, and father will be too caught up to focus on the villagers, but you my dear, should always do the opposite.' Those words had followed Eliza her whole life. Those words are what lead Eliza to buy a wagon of food, and bring it to the local poor side of the village. She couldn't keep everyone fed forever, that just wasn't possible. If she did that then why would anyone work? However there was no harm in making sure everyone got to eat tonight. She found her way to a good stand, and watched as the homeless, and poorer families come. They didn't bow, nor give thanks to the princess. Though it didn't felter her willingness to do this at every single town they stop at. Once the food wagon was empty she returned to the merchant she borrowed it from, and made her way to the local springs outside of the village. Before they would leave the village she wanted to get in some dance practice, as she always felt the need to have at least one 'lady' like skill.
Almeric on the other hand had taken a different route of the day, he stayed in the inn listening to the rumors. Until one of a bandit group caught his ear, and he heard a group of villagers were going to face them. So Almeric being Almeric went with them. Whilst his sister had a peaceful day he did not. He couldn't find his retainers so he had simply gone by himself allowing them a few more moments of peace. The fight didn't go to well at first the untrained villagers getting overpowered by the bandits, however after awhile Almeric went full force. He took out bandit after bandit, and luckily got away without a single villager's death. Hours later he was back at the inn with the villagers cheering their victory,

"Well, that.. That does make me feel better." And it did. Cadem believed her, surprising himself with his trust in her. But when Almeric walked in the door, his surprise was overcome with confusion. "Lord Almeric, is that blood on your sword?"
Jahirem had silently accompanied the princess, in awe of her resolute decision to feed so many in the village.

The girls face paled at the sight of blood, hoping that her kiddos didn't get wrapped up in whatever happened. Some of the older boys liked getting into the fights, hoping they decided to stay out of the way this time. Don't worry about them right now. You gotta focus. She thought before she caught sight of the twins, who had come in with the visitors. The two kids- a girl and a boy- dashed up to her and grabbed onto her legs. "Bree-" "You wouldn't believe-" "What just happened-" "A nice lady-" "Just gave us a ton of food!!" "You don't have to leave now, right?" The girl asked, eyes wide. Brees eyes softened for a moment, her resolve wavering slightly at the sight of the two kids, looking up at her pleadingly. She crouched down, rubbing their dirty heads affectionately, wishing she'd be able to tell them she could stay. "No, I still have to leave. I made a promise, and when you make a promise you gotsa keep it." She told them gently. The two couldn't be older than five, and they had quickly become some of her favorite kids. "But we have enough for a whole month! That means we can save the money you got for us!" The boy added pleadingly, but she shook her head, Cadem forgotten.

Cadem smiled when he saw the way Bree interacted with the young kids. "You're right," he said quietly to her, "It did go to a good place." Cadem himself wasn't very good with children, and so normally avoided them, but it lifted his heart to see them in such good care. Dwelling on the fact that the twins' young caretaker would be leaving so soon left his heart heavy, but he was sure that they would take care of themselves, especially with the money and food they received.

The kids were in a better spot than Bree was, for sure. They looked somewhat clean, and although they where both underweight they still looked better fed than Bree did. She always made sure of that, and she always tried to teach them important skills so that maybe, just maybe, one day they would be taken under someones wing and they wouldn't have to live like they where now. "Now make sure you get somethin' for fishing, alright?" She said sternly, before giving them a final hug and shoving them away, trying to choke back her own tears as the two nodded and mumbled an "I love you" and dashed off as she rubbed her eyes quickly and turned to Cadem. "I told you it went to a good place. And don't worry, they have some older kids to take care of em" (Night!)

(Awesome maps Bristle! I'll go put em on the front page~) Almeric hadn't expected the two to be in the inn already, and smiled hearing the question. "Ay, you'll get used to the site of me like this." He laughed blood to him was always present due to him always getting into some type of fight. "We took care of some ba-" Almeric started to inform when some kids came running into the inn going to Bree. He watched them for a moment hearing their words he didn't even have to guess who it was that did those things. His sister was quite busy at making sure at least some people were taken care of. He didn't feel bad he didn't do it, because he felt he did his share by taking care of the bandits. He, and his sister helped in different ways, yet in the end their goals were always the same, keep the villages going. He was about to say something when a guard came running into the inn.
"Dear god, run.... RUN GET OUTTA HERE!" The guard yelled out of breath, and bloody. He had a spear lodging from his back. "..... Go while you still ca-" He started when a he fall over from blood loss.
Almeric had ran over to the man grabbing his hand for a moment to check for a pulse, yet it was gone. ".....How.....?" He questioned not knowing who could have attacked the village, and why. Standing up he turned to his two retainers. Debating on an order, yet his eyes went to Bree's two kids. "Keep the villagers safe." He sighed not wanting to leave a anyone unguarded. With that he whisked outside the inn to meet the attackers. What was once a peaceful village was now a war ravaged sight with the blacksmith shop he had visited yesterday now burnt to the crisp.
The attackers were none other than Garuda's own Mira, the wyvern rider. Taking out his katana he looked around, of course it wasn't just Mira. A whole garrison of troops where there, and about three mages. His eyes scanned the area for his sister, and it took him awhile to see her, and the young cleric girl entering the village.
--------------------------------------
Eliza hadn't really noticed Jahirem followed her mainly for she was caught up in completing her daily tasks before they headed out of the village. However upon doing a twirl in her dance she saw the young girl, which caused her to jump back a bit in embarrassment. "Y-y-y-you did not see that!" She stated crossing her arms hoping the girl wouldn't tell the others, not even her brother knew she practiced dancing. Her gaze however left Jahirem as she noticed a garrison of soldiers charge into the village, and a wyvern rider fly in. Soon this was followed by a large fire erupting, and screams. ".... Jarirem, hope you got your staff." She commented grabbing her bow she had placed by a rock, and started heading to the village. "We got a fight coming."She sighed as she got an arrow ready to fly. She knew a fight was here, and there was no avoiding it now.
