(Bed time ;-; )
Mika offered a smile to Key. "Of course. We're happy to help." He was still a bit curious why Key had been out at the church to begin with, but he could only assume for the same reason they were - looking for pokemon. He checked they had all their things together before turning and heading to the room. He hesitated slightly, trying to remember if they'd introduced themselves. Key had told them his name because Valkoinen had asked it, but he couldn't remember if he'd asked in return.
Valkoinen went ahead of them still, stopping outside the room and waiting for Mika to come unlock it.

@ val - (sorry for not responding properly, i just wanted to ask what you think should happen next? Perhaps Key realises that his presence gives nightmares so he leaves to sleep in the main centre? idk

(Its fine. Its past 6am here so I'm very sleepy.) (For next? It might take a bit longer than one night to figure out he causes nightmares, though they might be out on the road by then. Perhaps we should pick a region for them to be in? It might help as far as planning goes.)

May laughed and nudged her happily. "No, you know what I mea-" He was abruptly cut off as a gun was fired off nearby. He looked around, baffled. No one here had need for weapons, so where did the sound come from?

@ val - for region i was thinking of sinnoh bc they have churches and it is darkria's home region I'm going to give him an eevee next, so ... Yeah. I think i'm going to scrap the idea that his prescence gives everyone but him noghtmares. I'll say that he gets noghtmares, and when he does have them, thats when others are effected .
@ real - Chill skated away from May a little, looking around with wide eyes. She spotted a monster child over by the surrounding trees who was playing with the snow. A human stepped out of the bushes and picked up the moster by the back of their striped shirt. It let out a cry of fear. "Dusters!" She signed to May, feeling terror creep up her spine as the mother of the child monster chased off the human, though not before the mother moster took a serious blow to her SOUL. The fsther moster made it to the crying child as the mother turned to dust. They let out anguished cries and Chill cupped her paws to her mouth, watching in muted horror as tears ran down her cheeks.

Anya met Aoife’s gaze stubbornly. “No, I haven’t. You’d be surprised how little I’ve heard of.” The seemingly random change of subject didn’t go over her head. If Aoife was implying what she seemed to be, then what was she going to do to her for catching her thieving? Being unarmed meant nothing if you were a weapon yourself.
Anya flicked her wrist, pointing the dagger towards one of the doors. “Get out of my—“ Her what? Her home? Her prison? “—my sight.”

"Okay." Aoife responded, slowly lowering her hands. "Can I keep looking for stuff to steal?" She guest weed to where she had been before with the hand that was holding the bag.

I we just thinking more along the lines of an Eevee is running from something and it runs to key and when key picks it up it evolve into an Umbreon - and maybe my hisses at the Pokemon that was chasing it?

"It's not really stealing if no one wants it," she replied after a moment's hesitation. "Take whatever, just do it quickly and stay away from me. Understood?"

"I don't intend on harming you, if that's where your concern lies." She laughed softly, turning slightly to return to where she had been before. Before she completely stepped out of view, however, she turned back to Anya and studied her. "What I don't understand is why you are living her in the first place. You claim the things I these castles to not be youngs, but you live here, yes?"

“If you don’t know it already, then my story is none of your concern,” Anya replied. She shifted her grip on the dagger and crossed her arms. “My possessions remain in my chambers. Anything else is left over from the castle’s previous occupants. It’s as simple as that.” She turned on her heel and started making her way back down the hall.

(I recently got a new laptop and its keyboard layout is way different than my other one. While I'm on it please forgive any mistakes.)
Still staring at her, Aoife tilted her head a bit. "I admit to something. I've been watching this castle for some time and I am intrigued by your living here snd the knights that bring you bi-weekly supplies. Although I care not to ask who but rather why ... and ask if you want some action in your life." Aoife sent her a wicked grin.

Anya glanced back over her shoulder, stopping. "I have already had enough action in my life to last a lifetime, so I'm afraid I'll have to turn down that offer," she replied dryly. "And if you wish to know why I'm here, then ask around. I'm sure plenty of people know about me. But I will not tell you something that is none of your business."

Aoife shrugged in response. "A person like me doesn't easily get away with being in town and asking questions. To be completely honest with you, I'm surprised you haven't run away screaming. Most people do when they figure out what I am." She gave another cheeky grin, stretching backwards with a yawn. "Afterall, I eat royalty for a snack." It was a joke, but she delivered it so seriously that it was hard to distinguish. "But that's good, because you're not royalty, right?"

(morning!)
May gasped in pure horror as he looked around. He clenched his fists in anger and brought them up to his mouth to stop home from yelling. He quickly turned around to the trees behind them to make sure there was no dusters there. Unfortunately the trees were to thick for him to see anything. He turned back around and skated over to Chill, putting his hand on her shoulder.

Anya turned away, trying to suppress her shudder. “Of course not. Don’t be an idiot,” she snapped. “I’ve dealt with a lot scarier than a thief that claims to be a monster. And in the morning it will be like you were never here, regardless of whether or not you actually were.” She continued walking away. “Farewell, Rioghan.”

@ everyone - I have a class today for uni, I'm in it right now, actually but they're really lax about laptops.
@ real - One monster that Chill only knew a little bit about was teleporting families away. Each time he reappeared he looked more and more worn out. The other skeleton that he was with had erected walls of bone all around the lake. Sans was unable to teleport anymore, and Papyrus looked troubled. Chill gripped at May's hand as if he was a lifeline.
@ sparky - Before I continue, what were your plans with this?

(I hope it goes well!)
May looked around, not as many people were here now thanks to Sans, but still about ten or twelve still remained. He was going to see if there was anything to do to help, but at this moment he just wanted to get Chill somewhere safe. Sadly he didn't know how. He wasn't leaving through the bone wall now, they're probably surrounded by dusters. He began to pull Chill toward the middle of the frozen lake as he had an idea. "We should try to get everyone to the middle. Weakest on the inside, and the strongest around them." He said to Chill.

@ real - Chill, in her shocked and trembling state allowed May to guide her. She only half heard what May said. Sans, however did hear him and nodded in response, "good idea, kid" he nodded to him, before starting to help others onto the lake again. Once everyone was safe, Chill snapped out of her stupor. She glanced around them before thawing the ice everywhere but where the small group of monsters and the few humans. The bonewall went down and the dusters ran right into the lake. The lake then froze around their bodies, trapping them in the ice. Chill stared, still shaking.
@ val - Thank you!

(What's the village going to be like, cause I keep imagining Snowdin.XP)
May nodded to Sans when he responded and watched as everything unfolded very quickly. When the dusters were frozen, and it seemed safe, he looked at the face of one of the nearest dusters. The glee on it sent fear all the way through his spine. He looked away. Suddenly he remembered he was still holding onto Chill's paw. He could feel her shaking through it. He looked over at her with a frown and shook his head. "We should get away from here." He said.

@ real - I was thinking like a camp thing near the mountains yah so it's not much of a town more so of a temporary setup. Chill squeezed his hand once before letting go again. She followed the skeletons as they started to lead all the monsters back towards the camp. Everyone looked grim when they got back, but joyful that no one had died. Sparky - perhaps Aoife could keep watch over Anya and maybe one day another their attacks the knight meant to bring Anaya the supplies and poses at him and Aofie goes in to help but she finds that asnya's already taken care of it? I think just skip afterwards. Okay *sends more cats*
Aoife had been watching the castle for some time now. She was fascinated by the princess-not-princess and she wanted to learn more. Her attention had been drawn by the knight, once again returning with food. He seemed different this time, however and Aoife was on alert. Scrambling down from her cliff-perch, she shifted back into humanoid form and started towards the castle. The sight that met her however, was a jarring surprise.

(Oh I see, thanks! Also, something I've thought about a few times and this scene reminded me; how far would the human race be if we weren't spending our research on new ways to kill each other?)
May was the last to leave after he took the ice skates off, and took up the rear of the group. So much for a happy trip to do some ice skating. Why would these dusters want to hurt us, the monsters aren't evil, they don't hurt anyone unless they're defending themselves.

In the time since Aoife had broken in, Anya had done her best to forget the thief, but that was proving easier said than done. She'd grown even more paranoid than she had already been, a dagger constantly tucked in between her foot and shoe, even when the knights were around. Her dull, near contactless life gave plenty of chances for her mind to reinforce this paranoia. Even when she knew she was completely alone, sometimes she saw movements, blurs of color out of the corner of her eye, those yellow eyes standing out. Occasionally, she thought she could faintly hear the thief's voice, tauntingly calling her Princess. Late at night, once or twice she could have sworn to have seen a large, dark shadow flying overhead. And all of this was on top of the normal problems she had.
Her paranoia had proven itself to be justified though when, one morning, instead of one of the knights she was used to, a stranger came to the castle. Another thief, this one much more hostile than Aoife had been. The sword he drew on her meant the dagger was a nearly impossible to fight with. She had tried to run, but he was quick and cornered her before she could even get out of the main hall. He brought down the sword and-- A bright, blinding light filled Anya's vision. Her body felt like it was on fire, but that was nothing compared to fear, anger, and panic enveloping her. She felt something inside her get tugged. She instinctually tugged back, hard.
It only lasted a few moments before suddenly vanishing altogether. Anya doubled over, hands on her knees as she gasped for air, eyes closed tight. When she opened them, the thief was sprawled on the floor, glassy eyes staring up at the ceiling. For a moment, she thought she was going to get sick as she stood there, trembling. Darkness danced at the edges of her vision as she struggled to keep upright. After a few moments, she took the dagger out and plunged it into the thief's chest, wincing at the noise that accompanied it. Better the knights think that she had killed him in a normal way than have them know that... that she had done that again. Keeping her thoughts focused only on her footsteps, she quickly made her way up to her room. Anya curled up against the door, shaking like a leaf.
(wow that got long. If you want to have her come in after everything or at any time when it's going on, either is fine with me, Anya just wouldn't have noticed Aoife entering)

@ real - After a few hours, a lot of the monsters had calmed down - the family who lost their mothers were inconsolable, however. Toriel and Frisk were spending time with them. Chill was sitting half buried in snow behind her tent.
@ sparky - Aoife had come in just as the light had appeared. Momentarily blinded, she did not see Anya stab the thief and she only just saw Anya running off. She didn't know what she had just seen, and she had no idea whether or not she should pursue it. Sighing, she stood, and started up the stairs towards the Princess' chamber.
