Chill was shocked when she was granted MERCY and stared at the human for a long time. She was still trembling slightly and she just stared. "Chill." She responded, that being one of the few words she could say without lisping it. She tilted her head slightly and stepped back a few feet, hands still up despite the MERCY granted.

@ val - idk how it can incorporate bc despite Key being a sarcastic little sh*t he's pretty clueless as to who he was.

Well if I may add a few notes, he might cause nightmares around those who sleep within a few rooms of him, or if he has repeated nightmares about the portal collapsing. Not sure how we'd reverse it, if you ever wanted to.)

Yeah, i was thinking about something about nightmares. Perhaps your character(s) could meet him and offer to have him join them on their journey and maybe when they're in the vicinity they have nightmares and he doesn't when he normally does all the time? idk

May realised she wasn't a threat, and took a step forward. "I..I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." He said. He didn't think he'd have the heart to dust any monsters. His father was always trying to make him, but he'd been avoiding it all the time. He frowned.

(That would work. You might also grant him the skill to use a single pokemon move that Darkrai might have. Not one that's unique but one of the ones it shares with other dark types. As he gets closer to figuring himself out, he might unlock more unique skills.)

@ real - Chill's eyes flickered over him again, CHECKing his SOUL. She could see that he did have LOVE, yes, all Dusters had love, whether or not they attacked. May, however, did not have EXP, which told her that despite watching, he didn't attack the monsters himself. She just continued to stare at him, though her trembling had lessened at what she just learnt, the quiver of her feathers said that she was still terrified. @ val - maybe. but the in game Darkrai was evil. like pure, pure hatred evilness that radiated off of him. He even tried to turn you against your partner by showing you a nightmare but i don't want key to be like that. If ever he discovers what he did i think he would be horrified. but maybe, something like that. Or he could have a strange affinity with dark type pokemon? Evolves an eevee into an unbreon during the day?

(That would be interesting. If you ever decide to set his character on the track of realizing his identity, there's the chance things might have been set up enough that he can recover from the realization.)

(I forgot, what did EXP mean in the game?) May knew she'd just CHECKed his SOUL, and he suddenly felt guilty. He didn't like his LOV, he despised it, and he hated who he lived with. They were all nasty and blood thirsty. A lot of them were past criminals even. He'd always hoped there was a way to redeem himself and get rid of his LOV, but he knew full well there wasn't, and he'd live with it for the rest of his life. He took another small step forwards with his hands up, hoping she would be somewhat less scared of him.

Key had been awake for nearly a week now. He had been given more clothes and some pokeballs (which, he didn't understand what they were for, and had been shocked by the explanation given) by the people that had found him. He sat on top of the stairs that led into the church, a wild Murkrow perched on his shoulder like the pokemon was his trainer. His bright blue eyes stared off into the distance, and he sat as still as the angels perched on top of the church in stone.

@ real - (EXecution Points) Chill slowly stood up, wiping off the clothes that she was wearing. She gave him a slightly sheepish smile. "I don't like to talk." She said slowly, her lisp was still there, the author just doesn't know how to write it properly. "B-but you're May (lastname) ... you ... your father dusts monsters..." She trailed off and turned her head towards where she had been going before. There were animals in this forest. Not normally hostile towards monsters because of their kinship, but all the same, they still attacked humans should they come to close.

(Oh, I see, thanks!)
May shook his head in annoyance, and his eye twitched slightly. "I'm not my father though. I don't dust anyone, I..I can't." He said and looked down, disappointed. He lowered his hands, looking back up. "I'm sorry, I might need to go." He said. He still remembered he was lost, but he didn't think she liked him as company, and he didn't want to ask her to show him the way out, just in case they ran into his father.

Valkoinen and Mika had left the main path to venture near the church. Mika's partner, a somewhat undersized Eevee, darted ahead of them, pausing whenever he felt the humans had fallen too far behind and waiting patiently with little flicks of his ears and tail. He never wandered out of sight, somewhat nervous he might somehow lose the two if they couldn't see him. Mika kept an eye on the little fellow, though he was stuck listening to repeated, impatient sighs from Valkoinen. She didn't have a pokemon yet, or rather, her partner pokemon was no longer with her. The Whimsicott she'd started her travels with had become more friendly toward someone they'd met on their journey. She hadn't been happy to leave him behind, but she couldn't bring herself to refuse him. She'd promised she'd be alright, and so far, she had been. It was dangerous traveling alone, and that was why she'd started walking with Mika.
It had been his idea to search for a new partner pokemon. Someone had mention there were a number of wild pokemon in the woods around the church, though so far they hadn't found anything. She was fairly certain pokemon had left the area by now, seeing as people had through here a bit more frequently these past few weeks. After a few more sighs, she looked toward Mika. "We should turn back. There's nothing out here." She mumbled. Really, she wasn't sure if she wanted to find a new partner pokemon yet. Maybe at all.
"But you said you wanted to come out here." Mika replied with a small frown.
"This was your idea. I went along with it." Valkoinen replied quietly. "Besides, I didn't bring any pokeballs."
"You can borrow some of mine. Come on, we'll find something if we keep looking." He replied. He turned his head forward to see Eevee waiting for them expectantly. "Come on, Eevee's having fun at least."

Key didn't move, although the Murkrow from is shoulder took off to go and see who the newcomers were. After a couple of moments, he turned to look over at the trainers. He didn't understand humans, not at all. He didn't even know what it meant to be a human. But waking up that day, with no memories to visit, nothing to look back on to why but somehow he knew what is was to be a human. How to walk, how to talk, what his name was ... sort of. He didn't like to use his real name, the looks that the people had given him when he had told them who he was made him feel odd and isolated and despite that feeling, he knew that no matter how much they tried to convince him, no, he hand't hit his head and dreamt that he was a pokemon. NO he wasn't making it up.
He let out a frustrated growl and rubbed at his forehead as he felt a headache start to form. Stupid humans. Stupid trainers. He looked up again as the murkrcow returned to his shoulder, chattering out something that he only half understood. It seemed as though he could no longer understand pokemon as he did before he lost his memories. It was familiar, yes, but of course not as easy to understand as it had been once.
The Murkcrow continued to chatter away and Key caught something about an Eevee and two humans. He slid off the step and onto the ground. The pokeballs that had been in his pocket fell out onto the ground. He almost stomped on them, hating what they were and what they were used for when the murkrow swooped down and disappeared inside of one of them. Key stared, dumbfounded.
(Is that the eevee that is going to evolve? owo)

(Knowing Mika, if he had a DS and a copy of Pokemon, he'd be in the amie 24/7. For this reason, I'm gonna say he'll have a Sylveon >w< I like Espeon, but it just doesn't suit him all that well.)
The sound of movement caught the Eevee's attention and he turned around. He paused briefly before sprinting off toward the church. This snapped Mika's attention from his dispute with Valkoinen and he sprinted after him. "Eevee, no! Where are you going?" He called.
Valkoinen stopped walking, watching them disappear down the trail. She gave a small frown, digging the toe of her shoe into the dirt. "I didn't want to come out here..." She mumbled to herself before she started walking after them. She had no clue what could be ahead that Eevee had taken off like that, but she was still a little curious.

Chill had tried to get as far away from the human as possible, but even the scream of someone with LOVE so high sent a chill (hah) through her spine. She followed the sound, carefully approaching where she felt the nearest SOUL. She saw the hill and her eyebrows furrowed a bit. She approached it carefully and stepped onto the side. She slid down carefully, glad for her claws to keep her grip. She approached May cautiously.

May lay at the base of the hill, unconscious. The only way of knowing he was still alive, was the steady rise and fall of his chest.

@ val -
Key picked up the pokeball that now held the murkrow ... apparently anyway. He held it out in front of him and spoke, "uh... come out I guess...?" He sounded unsure of what he was saying. The Murkrow burst from the pokeball and let out a happy cry before settling on his shoulder again. Key looked uncomfortable as he bent down to pick the rest of his pokeballs up. Along with the one that was murkrow's, he shoved them all back into his pocket as he paced around the front of the church. He saw the trainers before they came too close and he watched them for a bit.
Key tilted his head. A few days after having woken up, the people that found him had moved away for a reason they refused to disclose - which had left Key very confused. The rest of the time, being alone, he had had terrible nightmares of fighting and blood and lava that kept him awake at all hours.
He turned to look at the Murkrow. "Hey," He muttered to it. It turned it's head and tilted it. "Why did you go into that ball thing?"
It when went on on a tangent that Key only barely understood.

(lawl sorry I didn't realise he would be unconscious.)
Chill approached slowly, meek. She tilted her head when she got close and bent down to inspect him. Humans were so different to monsters. She had only ever met Frisk, and even then only briefly. She didn't know what to make of it, but she assumed that him not responding to her presence wasn't a good thing. She let out a quiet clicking noise, one that a bird would make to itself in the mirror, as she inspected him. She was nervous and scared. What if this was some kind of trap so he could bring someone along to dust her? She let out a shudder and clicked again, looking around.
she couldn't feel any other SOULs around here, not this far out in the forest anyway. She reached over and called his SOUL. It floated in front of her and she was revealed to see that it wasn't in any danger of shattering, but it did hold cracks. Reaching out with a shaky paw, she caressed it in green magic.
She wasn't a strong healer by any means. Monster children were trained as young as three to be able to perform the very basics of healing magic should they, or any of their friends get into trouble somewhere. Chill gently eased his SOUL back into his body as it healed. She tilted her head, still inspecting him for any signs of a trap.
