Stormfury glanced over at Dawntail. What was going on with that crazy she-cat now? Then he glanced over and saw Cloudscar talking to Swallowfeather. Scowling angrily, he stalked away from the scene.

Frecklepaw spotted her mentor and dashed over to his side, intimidated by the sheer size of the crowd. Everyone was bumping into her or brushing her pelt, and her skin prickled at the uncomfortable contact. She then noticed his sour face. "S...stormfury?" she mewed, ears lowered, "Is everything, um, is everything okay?"

Sagefoot gasped "Mother! Why didn't you tell me?"
Stormsplash turned around to see Rainfather, he stared at her for a moment, dear Starclan she was beautiful "I'm good.. Rainfeather right?"

Cloudscar felt his jaw drop open, and then he clamped it shut. "That's....that's....amazing! That's incredible! You must be so proud!" He forced himself to sit still and not make a scene, even though all he wanted was to be close to his mate.

Dawntail sat and pondered. Maybe it was just a coincidence? No... they were so similar! But... had Swallowfeather ever given out the name of the tom she'd had kits with? She couldn't remember. Letting out a wordless hiss, she stood up and paced back and forth. Even if it was true, and Swalllowfeather's kits were half-clan, what was she going to do about it? WindClan would be crippled if four (?) of their warriors were kicked out. Even if Stormfury was a grump, she liked Sandfall well enough, and she hadn't talked to the other two enough to get a read on them. Was it really worth it? Did it even really matter?
Frecklepaw followed his gaze to Dawntail, then looked back at him in concern. He didn't sound like everything was fine.

"Things have been rough lately...my father was lost in the storm...Hawkfury." She steeled herself, standing tall.
"But I will be alright. I survived losing my mate, I'll survive this." Rainfeather nodded.

Swallowfeather nodded "I'm very proud. I'm sure these kits will turn out just as good as their older siblings." she mewed, nudging Sagefoot affectionately.
Sagefoot grinned, looking in between her parents. The young she-cat didn't understand why it was so forbidden, why couldn't her parents just be happy?

Stormfury watched Dawntail pacing, suddenly feeling extremely anxious. He knew he couldn't go talk to her...after all what if that wasn't what she was thinking about....but what if she was. He felt his head spin and his chest tighten as he glanced at Frecklepaw and slowly backed away. He felt like he couldn't breathe...couldn't think...couldn't do anything. Panicking, he began to look around wildly, breathing heavily.

Stormsplash nodded, sighing softly "I understand.. Luckily Tinypool and I were able to protect Echosplash during the storm, I lost my mate when we were young warriors.. She died of green-cough." The tom missed Oddberry everyday, the she-cat had been with him every pawstep of his life since they were kits.
