WINDCLAN: Splashstone listened idly to his father, more so enjoying his ease of happiness in his clan rather than Riverclan itself. Splashstone froze though, a sense of deep confusion washing over him. “You’re… your mother wasn’t a Riverclan cat? I… always assumed you had a long family line established in Riverclan…” He paused, thinking of how deeply his lineage had confused him, hurt him. If Stormsplash was not Riverclan blooded… then… His eyes widened a bit, a weight lifting off of him, as he breathed softly. “Even as a former loner, you’re saying your mother was able to find her place in Riverclan… and they accepted her? You always seemed like the pinnacle of what I imagined Riverclan to look like. But. You aren’t clanborne… and yet, you still are a Riverclan cat, you’re everything a Riverclan cat could look like. I didn’t know that about you.” SHADOWCLAN: Rustlepaw listened intently to Larkpaw before she nodded. “Apparently Skyclan cats can climb faster than they can run. Cliffheart isn’t at the gathering, but he used to be a Skyclan cat. A long time ago.” She explained. “Oh! I’ve heard of Cliffheart.” Juniperpaw admitted. Stormsplash nodded. “My mother and her sister Lilypetal were welcomed into the clan easily and in the end, Lilypetal gave her life for my mother, my sister and I to escape Adderclan. I’ve known nothing but Riverclan, but I suppose you could say I have no Riverclan blood at all. My mother was never keen on telling us anything about our father, I assume he was also a twolegplace cat.” Larkpaw watched in awe as the last clan arrived. “Wow.” She said softly, “I never thought I’d see this many cats together. I’m sure it must be very overwhelming for you with all these different scents.”

SkyClan
"Well, it's great to meet you, Beanpaw," Warblerpaw said earnestly. Now he was actually a kitten, no joke. He wouldn't be surprised if he'd just been named a 'paw that morning. "Any friend of Whorlpaw's is in my good graces. Welcome to the coolest gang of cross-Clan apprentices that you'll ever meet!"
He turned back to Whorlpaw and Duskpaw, glad that they were both at the Gathering. He'd known them for almost his entire apprenticeship. "How are things? I'm glad to see Cedarstar's burns look much better."

Thunder: Stumppaw looked at Warblerpaw with wide eyes, he was much bigger compared to her, almost warrior sized! “I’m Stumppaw from Thunderclan! This is my first gathering.”
Shadow: Duskpaw tapped Warblerpaw on the shoulder, “Your assessment is coming up soon right? Maybe you’ll have your name before the next gathering.”
Spottedpaw turned to look as the Skyclan cats trickled in.
Sky: Specklepaw stuck close to Shadespot’s side as they entered the clearing. It was intimidating to be the last clan there. Everyone was already speaking to one another!
Wind: Swiftstar nodded in greeting to Spiritstar, “Welcome. I’m sure everyone is anxious to get started.”

Riverclan
Diamondheart dipped his head to Spiritstar, answering the she-cat promptly. "You'd assume correctly. He is doing well. I will speak for Riverclan this evening." He repeated the sentence once more, grateful that all the leaders were now present so he wouldn't have to do it again. He could let them explain why he was up here to their Clans, for now he thought of each event to prepare to announce. Reporting the strange fur would be the most complex part, and a part of him hoped the other Clans had seen something similar.
Foxripple grinned cheekily. "I told you. I love any and all gossip. To do so, I have to know as many cats as I can. I simply turn my ear. Apprentices like to talk, after all." He teased.
Thunderclan
"You want to learn battle moves from other apprentices, eh? Still have the heart of a fighter, yeah?" Featherfoot chuckled before he pointed his tail to the large group of apprentices that were gathering together. "You might find some good company in that group, then. I think you're more than social enough for it." He offered, glad that Scarletpaw had stayed behind with Hollowpaw, to not repeat last gathering's outburst.
Mothsong hesitated for a moment, before nodding once to Owlfrost. "I... alright. I'll give it a try, but I'm not going to be buddy-buddy with a Riverclan cat, or anything like that." She muttered, inwardly unsure if she could even attempt to talk casually with other cats.
Hickoryshade nodded once to Eelshock. "I like it. Honestly, it's a better idea than what I've heard or seen done in moons... I want to help, if I can. Maybe we can meet again soon, a little more secretive?" She whispered, flicking her ear casually.
"I thought he was leader for a moment!" Hornetstrike admitted to Slatesight with a high breath to his voice, before he chuckled. "But he just called me a furball, so I think he's filling in for Earthstar tonight. So, the big lug must be busy... enough to miss a gathering..." He mused thoughtfully, before he grinned. "Nighteye could make a mighty fine leader, don't you think?"
Windclan
Blacktail purred. "That is wonderful news to hear. Kits are a blessing, for all Clans! Windclan's nursery is pretty active as well." He did not go into detail that some of the kits were Meadowbrook's, not sure he wanted that kind of attention on the kits at such a young age.
Cobblepaw watched the gathered group of apprentices with a bright chuckle, feeling a bit too mellow tonight to try and join in. Rookpaw simply ignored most of anybody else.
Shadowclan
Honeycrest looked between Maskpaw and Silverpaw, a bit humored by the reaction he could see from Silverpaw. Did the apprentice think he looked odd? He supposed he did, didn't he? He addressed Maskpaw with a cool and smooth voice. "Thank you. I appreciate your formality. Makes me feel special." He gave a slight smile, indicating a light tease. His more aggressive and pointed energy from apprenticeship had mellowed out into a catty sort of curiosity, and Starclan did he enjoy hearing details about things from other Clans. He mused.
"If Rowanpaw is spending time with the three of you, then I know that you're cats worth getting to know." He mewed simply.
Skyclan
Echowing padded into Fourtrees with a cold look in her eyes, tucking herself far away from the crowds. She had no interest in mingling tonight. She watched Dreamlily slip in after Frostyfoot, the gentle she-cat excitedly saying something to their father. She gritted her teeth though, when she saw Opalmist across the clearing. Her claws extended, tearing quietly into the grass. Tonight, she would make sure that everyone knew what Shadowclan's medicine cat had done to the Code.
Poppyclaw and Cobrafang went straight for the groups of older warriors, while Plumwillow excitedly bounced around near Quickwing, hoping that the she-cat would be willing to sit next to her during the gathering. The thought made the energetic she-cat's fur warm.

His eyes flickered with a weak but existing hope. "They... sound so brave. I bet you loved them so much." He swallowed, before he asked quietly, as if he were a little kit again. "I know you and my mother only met a few times, but... did you love her? I know that she's probably... hopefully in Starclan with Grasslight and Stonepath's father right now, but. I just... Rainfeather only ever did things out of love. She had so much of it, but. I guess... sometimes I wonder if we were ever just a mistake. I don't want to be the reason you have any regrets." He rasped, finally admitting what he'd been feeling for moons. ShadowclanRustlepaw chuckled a bit, sweeping her tail around side to side all of a sudden, brushing against each passing cat with a light hum, and moving each time it looked like a cat would bump into her. She admitted. "It can be a bit overwhelming. That's why I'm not over with that larger group of apprentices. Spottedpaw and Fuzzypaw can do all the talking for me. Here, it's calmer. But, I can make out each scent's differences. No two cats ever smell the same." She explained.

SkyClan & ShadowClan
"The first's always exciting, yeah?" Warblerpaw asked Stumppaw. He grinned at Duskpaw. "That's right! And I'll leave you kits playing mossball in the dust," he teased, though he really wasn't that much older than the three siblings. "Say, remember that one Gathering where we challenged each other to see who could get highest on one of the Great Oaks? Our mentors were so mad!"
Fuzzypaw winced a little at the mention of climbing, recalling the disaster of a climbing session ShadowClan had had. Though, she was pretty good...

"Ugh, Warblerpaw." Palepaw padded over to his sisters, Duskpaw and Whorlpaw, and frowned at the SkyClan tom. "Why am I not surprised you're here?" He kept his head up. He wasn't the biggest fan of Warblerpaw's charm, in fact, he found the tom annoying, but at least he was nice. "Our father's doing fine. Those burns didn't slow him down one step."
Whorlpaw giggled at her brother, but gave Warblerpaw a lighthearted look.
Beanpaw flicked his ear, he didn't like the Warblerpaw looked down at him. He looked at Stumppaw. "It's...kind of overwhelming...huh?"
Eelshock perked up that Hickoryfrost was interested. He purred. "How about Sunningrocks, tomorrow night? I'll bring Fluffcloud and we can talk more. If you think anyone else in your clan would agree with this way of thinking, then bring them along. We'll start the movement for peace."
Rowanpaw glanced at the other apprentices and shrugged at Honeycrest. "I just met them. Silverpaw seems pretty cool." He nodded to the WindClan tom.
Maskpaw flicked his ear, not thrilled with the tease from the warrior. He was being formal like his father, trying to maintain peace despite his misgivings. "You and Rowanpaw must be good friends then?

Spiderbite grumbled as he tried to maneuver the crowd of cats. He looked for any of the other medicine cats: Peachdapple, Aspenfall, Specklecreek, Dawnshadow, Opalmist, Snowdance, any of them! He finally spotted Eclipsesky and hurried over. "Thank StarClan, I was beginning to think I'm the only medicine cat here. Did all the leaders decide to bring their entire Clans tonight? I don't remember it being this crowded."

Thunderclan
"Sounds like a deal. Shouldn't be too hard to slip out to the border. I'll pretend I'm hunting." Hickoryshade mewed casually, somewhat excited at the prospect of helping to start something that could actually help Thunderclan for once. Or at least, the cats that mattered in the Clan. She thought about who she could possibly tell. That would be the hardest part, once they got back.
Riverclan
Mintpaw scoffed. "We're cool too! Silverpaw is cool, though, yeah." She quickly relaxed from her huffy moment, before she giggled to Honeycrest. "You've got a very smooth voice, all suave and stuff. Are you popular with the she-cats?" She teased.
Shadowclan
Honeycrest was actually a bit surprised by Mintpaw's bold question, but he quickly corrected himself with an easy hum. "Popular with the she-cats. I haven't been asked anything like that before. I can see you're certainly some bold cats." He did not answer her directly, but he did turn his gaze upon Maskpaw, answering this inquiry honestly.
"Rowanpaw has been my denmate since the day he was born. I have seen him as a close friend for just as long. With a cat like me, I tend to find other cats will either dislike me, or find my company pleasing. There's not much in-between, not that I really care much about any feelings towards me otherwise, but." He nodded simply. "Yes. Is the simple answer."

Smokestream's hackles raised as the group of apprentices grew louder and more boisterous. She cast a gaze up at the sky. "I hope they keep things under control," she muttered.
Slatefur ran his tail down her back soothingly. "They're just having fun. They're only young once, you know. Isn't that right, Blacktail?" He took a closer look at the gathering of apprentices, noticing a few Riverclan apprentices. "Are any of those 'troublemakers' Windclan's?"

SkyClan & ShadowClan
Warblerpaw smiled at Palepaw, well aware that the ShadowClan apprentice wasn't his biggest fan but liking him well enough anyways. "Because I'm always right where the best place to bug you is," he tossed back. "I'm genuinely happy to hear it, though I think it'd take the whole forest to stop him. Cedarstar is one tough cat."
Fuzzypaw tilted her head a little. So, Palepaw isn't a fan? At least she wasn't the only one. For some reason, she just found this cat irritating.

Eelshock nodded once to Hickoryshade. "I'll see you then, my friend." He stood up. "Now, I'm going to go mingle with other cats. See who else may share our opinion. Besides, we can't look suspicious. I hope you stay well, Hickoryshade."
Rowanpaw twitched his whiskers in amusement with Mintpaw's question. "Actually, Honeycrest is pretty popular with Whorlpaw these days."
Maskpaw blinked. "Whorlpaw? I've heard that name. She's one of Cedarstar's daughters, right?" He blinked in amusement at Honeycrest. "So how's it with Whorlpaw? Disdain? Or company pleasing?"

Stormsplash had a sharp intake of breath, shaking his head quickly. “Rainfeather and I, our relationship was… quick. But it was genuine. And I will never regret being your father.” He mewed fiercely. “I wouldn’t be a father without your mother and for that alone I will always be indebted to her.”
Larkpaw moved closer to Rustlepaw as another group of apprentices moved behind her. “I hope the leaders start soon. I’m eager to hear what every clan has to say.”

Windclan
Blacktail gave a warm chuckle, the former deputy looking at the apprentices with a hint of fondness. "Oh, do I remember my apprentice days. Scarstar led me into Fourtrees, and she had to go up to the rock, so I had to maneuver around on my own. I suppose that's the downside to being a leader's apprentice during your first gathering." He recalled the memory with a hum, before he mewed. "Beanpaw's Windclan. The youngest one. I'm happy to see him socializing so quickly."
Shadowclan
Honeycrest's quick twitch of his whiskers betrayed his sudden and quiet fluster. It was gone as quickly as it came, pushed under his wall of composure as he straightened his posture and responded. "She is a valued Clanmate, just as any other. Rowanpaw likes to add a Greenleaf breeze lens upon things. Whorlpaw certainly sees me the same as any other clanmate." He assured, trying to slash away at the odd feeling he had recognized a while ago. It was odd, to feel it for another cat, but it unnerved his logical mind. He flicked the stub of his tufted tail.
"That's so cute!" Mintpaw giggled excitedly. "I hope that you and Whorlpaw get to spend all the time in the world together when she becomes a Warrior too! You can go on all kind of patrols together, and give eachother pretty shells!"
Thunderclan
"The same to you, Eelshock." Hickoryshade grinned lightly, enticed by the secretiveness of their new plan, and invigorated by the thought of action. She looked around quickly for other cats to prod information from.

Duskpaw grinned as Palepaw joined their circle, “Nice of you to join us Palepaw.” She greeted cheerily, before turning back to Warblerpaw. “Good luck on your assessment! Ours really isn’t that far away either. Sunpaw’s the only apprentice that’s older than us.”
Stumppaw sidled over to Beanpaw’s side with a nod, she felt much more comfortable next to the apprentice that was closer to her size. “Yeah. My dad, Brackenheart told me there would be a LOT of cats. But I never imagined it would be like this. The leaders look kinda scary up there on the rock like that.”
Eclipsesky tensed as Spiderbite approached, looking awkwardly at the tom. “It does seem crowded tonight, the leaders must have a lot of announcements to make. Did you look for the medicine cats?”

Sky-
Whitesun weaved through the cats slowly towards the other deputies, pausing once every now and then to exchange greetings with old acquaintances as he passed. He tensed slightly when his eyes caught sight of Goldberry with the ShadowClan patrol and turned his head away sharply, continuing on his way.
Firepaw and Sunpaw walked in with the SkyClan patrol before breaking apart and going in separate directions.
Blackfire, Spotteddawn and Frostlight entered the clearing as well.
Thunder-
Sootpaw spotted Marshpaw and gave the other apprentice a friendly wave of his tail, “Hello! I’m Sootpaw, what’s your name?” He greeted, giving him a smile.
River-
Shininglight turned her head when she caught movement out of the corner of her eye, relaxing a bit when she saw it was Redtooth. She nodded her head in greeting to him, offering a small smile, “Redtooth. It’s been awhile, how have you been?” She mewed as if greeting an old friend.
Arcticpaw gave Gustpaw a friendly smile, “I’m alright, and what about you? You didn’t get into too much trouble for getting too close to the gorge the other day, did you?” She asked, remembering their encounter at the border.

"Well then good luck to you three as well, if I miss you before then," Warblerpaw replied.
Fuzzypaw wrinkled her nose a little, leaning into Spottedpaw. "I didn't realize they knew him so well!" she whispered. An idea was forming in her head, but she felt a little silly about it. "Do you think I could jump as high as him onto a tree? I don't see our mentors around anywhere..."

Rowanpaw chuckled at Mintpaw's response to Honeycrest's logic. "I'd say she's warming up to you too, Honeycrest."
Maskpaw glanced at Rowanpaw then smiled at Honeycrest. "Good luck to you with that endeavor."
Palepaw gave Duskpaw a soft glance, but kept a rivaled look on Warblerpaw.
Beanpaw nodded in agreement with her. "There's so many cats," he breathed. He followed her gaze to the Great Rock. "Is that brown tom your leader, Lightstar?"
Spiderbite huffed. "I tried to find the others, but it's so crowded I couldn't squeeze my way to the Great Rock to find them. You're more respected, though. So, maybe if you led the way, the birdbrained warriors will let us through." He turned, ready to follow Eclipsesky to the Great Rock. "Oh, I can tell you about Briarpatch on the way. Thank StarClan otherwise, but I thought I was going to have more dead clanmates on my paws."

Shadowclan
Goldberry's curled ears fell as he saw the Skyclan deputy. He bit his lip, still reeling with agonized guilt over what had happened. Seeing it happen, but not being able to do anything about it had been utterly terrifying, just as all the other victims that he had been forced to harm. But Silversting's death hung over his head, and haunted his dreams still. He stepped tentatively towards him, before pausing. Whitesun would surely go towards the other deputies, and Goldberry imagined that Whitesun would refuse his apology or explanations again. Even now, he knew it was hard to believe that his body had not been his own for those few moons. To Whitesun, he had killed his sister... and even to Shadowclan still, he was sure many of his clanmates didn't believe that he had been overtaken, even if Northstar had defended him...
Honeycrest mused smoothly. "Had I a tail to flick over your ears, I would do so now. I see the makings of some gossips here... it's a good thing I respect that." He smirked, teeth glinting just for a moment, before he mewed. "Come now, new apprentices. I can tell by your kitten fluff behind your ears. Who are your mentors?" He asked casually.
Windclan
Blacktail nodded. "He's a brand new apprentice. Possibly the youngest cat present at the gathering today. Time happened to line up with his ceremony, I suppose." The elder admitted, hoping the other cats would be kind to the young tom. This could be incredibly overwhelming, even for a full grown Warrior.

ShadowClanCinderspeck was surprised to see an unfamiliar white she-cat wave her tail at him. "H-hi there," he greeted, feeling his usual nerves come back when it came to speaking with those he wasn't familiar with. "I'm Cinderspeck. Who are you?" ( mintleaf2) SkyClanSpiristar looked satisfied with Diamondheart's answer. Earthstar was one of the oldest leaders, and Diamondheart one of the longest running deputies. She had faith that he was being truthful in his words. "There are a lot of cats here tonight. I understand the anticipation." she remarked. RiverClanGlacierpaw tried to imagine himself speaking to a warrior from another Clan. It sounded rather daunting, but if they were as friendly as Foxripple, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. "What do you tell them that keeps their attention?" WindClanGustpaw shook his head, twitching his whiskers. "Thankfully, no. Not too much, anyway... but they were happy with the rabbit!" he happily exclaimed. "Did you catch anything when you left?" Silverpaw looked amused at the conversation. Judging by Honeycrest's personality, he was trying not to let the others tease him too much. He found that he respected his cool demeanor. I bet he has some insightful things to say about warriorhood, Silverpaw thought. ThunderClanSlatesight was curious on Earthstar's whereabouts as well. "Even though we are rivals, I do hope Earthstar is well. He has been around long enough that he earned my respect as a capable leader. Diamondheart is also quite the deputy." he spoke. "I would be honored to see Nighteye standing up there, but I do not know if he would feel comfortable himself. Perhaps with some experience first..." he dwelled on the idea. (#Nightstar2030 lol)

Riverclan
Diamondheart nodded lightly. "A bit more than usual, now that I'm seeing it from the way you all see it." He breathed, looking out over the top again with a hint of silent wonder, before he looked back at the leaders. "I ask this honestly, does the rock ever get icy in leafbare? I'm impressed nobody has slipped!" He admitted, a moment of humor.
Foxripple admitted easily. "Oh, butter them up. Give them something to talk about, that's about themselves. Or, ask a few questions. What's your mentor like, is your leader the best? Oh, I've tried the prey before, have you?" He imitated a few of his casual conversation starters. "Listen to everything."
Thunderclan
"I can't even remember how long both of them have worked together. Starclan, Diamondheart and I had only been Warriors for a few moons before Diamondheart suddenly became deputy. By then, we had just begun to truly learn where we came from. When I finally remembered what happened, when I remembered that snowstorm, I remembered Diamondheart." Hornetstrike admitted lightly. "By now, Diamondheart probably feels perfectly normal up there. If Earthstar is fine, then I can tell he trusts him enough to cover the gathering for him. To have that kind of bond with your leader, I think would make any cat a little envious." He chuckled, before he looked at Slatesight and teased.
"Nighteye's almost got as many apprentice under his paw as I had. He's got more experience than cats older than him at this point. You, on the other paw. We still need to work on your tuck and kick battle move!" He snickered.

Thunder:
Tigerpaw followed his mentors gaze, seeing the large group of apprentices. He suddenly got a little shy, shifting closer to Featherfoot. “I dunno that seems like a big group.” Maybe there were one or two smaller groups he could talk too.
Redtooth smiled softly, glad just to be near her for a few moments. “I’m fine. I hope everything is well in Riverclan.” He glanced at her. “The kits ok?” He asked.
Riverclan:
Pebblesplash chuckled lightly. “I don’t know how you guys catch rabbits! I tried when I was an apprentice and I made it about two paw steps before the rabbit was long gone.” He looked towards Bluewhisker. “Not feeling chatty today Bluewhisker?” He asked.

RIVERCLAN:
“And my mentor is Stonegaze! He’s super skilled, knows a whole bunch of stuff.” Mintpaw bragged, proud of her mentor. She wasn’t aware of the suddenly curious look coming from Honeycrest.
SHADOWCLAN:
“Hm. I recognize those names. Indeed, they do sound like good mentors. I can only imagine what kinds of things Riverclan apprentices learn durinf training.” Honeycrest mused, hoping to get any kind of information for his own personal enjoyment. Even if Shadowclan and Riverclan shared no border, he liked to know all he could.
THUNDERCLAN:
Featherfoot looked down at Tigerpaw with a gentle understanding, before he looked around and nodded. “There’s a few Windclan and Shadowclan apprentices.” He pointed his tail to Rustlepaw, Larkpaw, and Juniperpaw, before he looked over at another group, of Rowanpaw, Silverpaw, Mintpaw, Maskpaw, and Honeycrest. “Do either of those groups look better? I don’t like big crowds much either, so don’t worry.”

"They don't call us WindClan for nothing," Palegaze commented.
Bluewhisker flicked an ear. "Never do," she said simply. "I do more than I say."
Palegaze chuckled a little. He'd always respected the older warrior, though she was a little odd with how quiet she was. "Hey, I chat enough for the both of us, right?"
Bluewhisker chuffed, rolling her eyes good-humoredly. She turned to Pebblesplash, speaking in her usual deep, monotonous voice. "I apologize. I prefer to listen. It isn't personal."
