Darkheart sat up and looked at Boulderstrike. "I was taking a small nap." The warrior replied. "Was there something you needed?" He asked. Blackdawn finished with the elders and saw Boulderstrike talking to her brother. She padded over silently, hoping he wasn't causing trouble. (( I'm sorry for poofing I was school shopping ;-; Boulderstrike sighed before his tail unwrapped from around his paws and began to slightly lash back and fourth, but before his anger had almost slipped from him he spoke, "Darkheart this drought isn't good for any of us. We're going to need everyone's help to make sure our clan mates have water and that means we'll need warriors such as yourself". Boulderstrike couldn't be too hard on the young warrior after all he was excited and seemed willing to help his clan. |

His tail swished side to side as he walked aside the warrior. |

"Great, but with it comes responsibility. I don't want to turn this into a lecture so i'll stop on that. But it is nice to be able to hunt and train when you want as well as teach younger cats what you know." he glanced down at the apprentice "How are you liking hunting and training? If you had to guess how close are you to being as good as a warrior?" it was important to be able to study ones own ability, not just be told how good or bad they are by someone else.

We'll I don't know if I will be a good warrior, but what I know is that I want to become the best one by training harder than most apprentices.", Hawkpaw replied licking his paw. "So do you like any special she-cat? You don't have to answer though.", Hawkpaw said with a whisper hoping Swiftstripe didn't hear. |

I'm what they would call 'married to my warrior duties'." he had heard the phrase from a kittypet and found it funny enough to use "You have any romances going on in your life?" he smirked as he watched the apprentice, they had a lot of apprentices, surely one caught his fancy. Even as an apprentice Duckstep was too involved in training to ever even think of she-cats. Other then them being fellow apprentices and clanmates.

The plants by the lake should still have some life in them, that will also show in the prey." if they wanted to help the clan getting some good food and fresh water would be it. Prey sounded a whole lot easier than dragging moss back to camp.

Sorry if I poof randomly, it pretty late where I live XD) Duckstep watched for a while, only looking at the prey. If they were in good shape he would leave them. Only doing that for the first couple he ended up with a nice sized mouse and a fish. The fish seemed to be doing well despite the lack of water. There were few that had died on the dry shore. "That should be good. We don't want to catch everything."

" Thwanks Dwuckstwep!", Hawkpaw said again trying, but with the frog in his mouth he couldn't speak. Following the warrior, with his prey in the mouth, his paws were tired, so when he get back to camp, Hawkpaw would rest in his cozy nest. |

Duckstep padded through the dry undergrowth, avoiding rocks and other items that now jutted out of the plants. They neared camp and even Duckstep was ready to stop helping and take a break in the shade. When they entered camp he dropped his prey on the fresh kill pile, it looked much better with the addition of both his and Hawkpaws contribution "You can take a break, thanks for coming hunting with me."
