The forest was terribly beautiful, wasn't it? Beetlenose thought so. She preferred it to the rocky terrain nearby camp, even if the ravine was a welcome relief from the sun most of the time. Sitting atop a log turned green by moss, the tuxedo she-cat was enjoying her solitude before she returned to the busy affects of clan life. A mouse lay between her white toed forepaws, her catch of the day given hours worth of patience and stamina.
For the likes of one particularly less than friendly rogue, the forest wasn't so much pretty as infested. Castle lay on his belly in the greenery beneath the trees, slanted yellow eyes peering out between the tall trunks. He was looking for any source of movement, too tense given his knowledge of what lay beyond the trees, yet so desperately seeking rest after a long day of moving about and trying to satisfy his craving for entertainment.

Vesper yawned and moved from tree to tree, making sure to watch his step. Some branches had begun to get brittle with the lack of water and he didn't want to fall from the trees. Moving down a branch or two he landed on one that was dry. There was a crack, but thankfully it did not break. The sound sent a couple nearby birds into the air in panic.

(I want to apologize for my long poof once again. Marching band season is now over so that should free up my schedule a bit. I should be able to get on most days except for Wednesday due to Jazz band. As long as school doesn't pin me with hours and hours of homework I should be more active. I would also love for my charries to get more involved in the plot, so if anyone wants to do any plots with me, then flag me down and let me know.)

Ruffleheart is a Norwegian Forest cat, her pelt is light brown, with a white muzzle and stomach. Her legs and tail are striped a darker brown, but her tail tip is snow white, and her fur is extremely soft. She has some of the most dazzling eyes her clanmates have ever seen, the left being a deep aqua, and the right a burning orange. Her eyes and ears are both rounded, giving her a non-threating demeanor.
Ruffleheart is extremely sweet and caring, always willing to listen to anything her clanmates bring up. Loving and patient, Ruffleheart is a great friend. But despite being kind to everyone else, Ruffleheart isn't very kind to herself. She has emense self-hatred, hating her appearance, as former mates have tormented her, telling her she is too ugly to love. She suffers from depression and anxiety, worsening her self hatred. She feels trapped and miserable in the nursery, along with her brother being overbearing, she can't find peace.
Her brother is Brackenberry and her soon to be born kit. She never knew her parents, as she was adopted by her twolegs as a kit. She isn't related to her brother by blood, but it never mattered to them.
She and Brackenberry used to be kittypets, owed by a young couple. But when they gave birth to a twoleg kit, they kicked them out of the house. This caused her major distress, as she feared for her kit's life. Ruffleheart had gotten pregnant before, but both times the kits were stillborn. Because they were abandoned once the twolegs got a kit, she believed this to be a sign, telling her that this kit too, will die. She came to Mintclan pregnant, sick and starving. She begged for food and shelter, anyone to help her and her brother. Ceaderstripe let them into a clan, as no respected warrior would turn away a desparate queen. Her named her Ruffleheart, as he could tell she has gone through much, but is a kind soul.

Brackenberry is a Russian Blue cat, sleek solid grey. His pelt is prickly, the opposite of his sister. His eyes are blue, but the rim of his eyes are green. He's extremely skinny, but blame the lack of food on that.
Brackenberry is cunning, judgmental, but has a soft spot for his family. Uncomfortable with clan life, and honestly only here for his sister, he doesn't socialize much, only having one other friend in the clan, Sunstripe, whom he also has a crush on. He almost never shares his own thoughts which is a shame for the clan, as he is quite brilliant and resourceful, and could fix almost any technical problem if he wanted to. This is because he doubts himself and his opinions, for example his crush on Sunstripe, thinking he only sees him as a friend, but wants much more. He is also quite overbearing, hovering over his sister, not realizing he's doing more harm to her than helping. He has very little perception when it comes to others feelings, and often doesn't even now his own, as he has bipolar disorder.
His family is Ruffleheart, his adopted sister. He only knew his mother, a Russian Blue named Nora, but was taken away from her as a kit.

This upset him greatly, as he loved his old life, having trouble adjusting to the forest and trying to care for his sister. She found Mintclan, and reluctantly went wth her.
