PROLOGUE

Daniel Arregilo begrudgingly forced himself up onto all fours and drew in several fast breaths, he slammed his first into the mud a few times and carefully adjusted his body weight so he would not slip back into the muds warm embrace.
โLooks like Assegilo wants some more boys,โ said Chad, the towering behemoth that stood over Daniel. โSo- Assegilo, you must really enjoy getting pummeled by superiority. Uh-you flamboyant turd?โ He mocked as he began to prepare his foot for another kick.
Daniel shook his head smiled, he figured that he could take another beating from Chad, had faced worse than Chadโs punishment, he knew that for sure. โWellโฆโ Daniel spewed weakly. โI just thought since you like me so much, Iโd come back for around two.โ With that, Danielโs right side had embers of pain spark up as he was kicked again, he turned on his back and caught another blow on his lower stomach as this time Chad stomped down on him.
Chad continued his onslaught until Danielโs shirt was torn and his physical scars and bruises were exposed. Chad stopped and stared down at Daniel, had his eyes closed as blood ran down his face and mixed into the mud. โIf we see your colored kind, here again, weโll kill you. Understand?โ Chad tookโs Daniel silence as response and he and his gang wandered off back into the ghettos of Los Angeles.

Compared to what awaited Daniel if he decided to stand back up, the warm and soft mud wasnโt so bad, itโs sticky surface embraced him in what he thought was similar to that of a hug from an overjoyed and overweight grandparent.

Daniel bargained with himself on whether or not to get up, his body was tight and sore from the beating, but compared to what awaited Daniel if he decided to stand back up, the warm and soft mud wasnโt so bad...
