Grasspaw | Camp

A meroww erupted from Grasspaw "I'm terrible...
I've only ever caught a minnow and that was after I fell in the stream" her eyes gleamed with amusement as the memory entered her mind. Daisypaw had just caught a small silver fish that she hadn't known the name of. Water had splashed onto her and, started, she had fallen in the stream. Although she had been very soggy, it had been hilarious for both her and her sister. "What about you? Are you any good at fishing?" she'd never seen him fish before, but expected him to be good at it. Afterall, he was good at everything else! As they walked together the sun was reaching its peak in the sky. The rays of sun was heating up her fur fast, but Grasspaw enjoyed it. She hadn't basked in a long time and the sun wasn't too unbearable today.

Frostmoon | By the stream

After her encounter with Cloudfoot, Frostmoon decided to go back to fishing. Before long she had caught another trout and a few minnows. Nothing special, but with so few cats in camp, it would be plenty of food. She decided to stay and catch one more fish before heading back to camp. The sun had moved since her last catch, so she readjusted herself and made sure that her shadow didn't cover the water. After the sun had reached its peak she had caught another trout... this has been a great start to greenleaf she though happily. Picking up her catch, she realised that she'd have to leave some of the minnows behind. She buried them and started heading back with the two trout and three minnows.

The money is pretty pointless really, but people have created thread shops where they make art and sell it for forum money and stuff like that. Mine only goes down because I put it away in the forum bank, which can be accessed by clicking on the tiny piggybank in the top, right corner. I collect, not spend.)


"Are you kidding? I'm probably one of the worst fishers in the clan!" Lizardpaw meowed then shook his head as he walked along by his traveling companion. "No, I'm not good at fishing. I can catch them, but actually getting them on shore and staying there is where I need a lot of work. Plus, I don't like the water anyway. It doesn't mingle well with my longer fur," he explained. The sun's rays were making him hot pretty fast. Another thing his longer fur wasn't good for was mingling with direct sunlight like this where he wished the clan territory had more trees for shade.

Frostmoon | Camp

After entering back into camp, Frostmoon deposited her fish on the fresh kill pile and got her self a large, plump shrew to eat before she settled down with the others. The shrew was a lot more stringy then she had hoped and it was hard to get down. Although it wasn't the best meal that she could have had, it filled her stomach and that was the main thing. After she had finished her shrew, she pushed the remains to the side of camp and looked around for a friend to share tongues with. Cottonwhisker! He was an old friend and a good cat to talk to, even if he was strong headed at times. She padded up to him just as he was entering his den. She tapped him lightly on the shoulder and mewed "Need some company on this fine afternoon?"

Cottonwhisker | Camp

Turning round, Cottonwhisker was confronted with a smiling Frostmoon. Great! He hadn't had any company in the elders den for moons. Frostmoon would be a great friend to talk to this evening, given the fact that she knew Lizardpaw's situation. He'd love to talk to somebody about what Stormstar would say about his new mentor. "come on inside! There's plant of room, given the fact that I'm the only resident" his words trailed off at the end of his sentence until he was muttering to himself, but he knew that Frostmoon had heard the important part of the conversation.

Daisypaw | Camp

Daisypaw, after cooling off from her incident with Lizardpaw, went back into camp and looked at the fresh kill pile. She was about to go over and get something, when she saw her mother deposit some fish. That's when she decided that she wasn't hungry. Stomach empty, she trotted back into the apprentice den and curled up, getting ready to sleep. Grooming her fur, so that it no longer stood on end, she closed her eyes and hoped that Larkfeather wouldn't be two mad that she'd ditched her that morning.

Parsley | Twoleg fence

Slowly making his way along his old twoleg's fence, Parsley looked out across the overgrown field in front of him. He could just make out the stream that ran close to the meadows. Some of the Kittypets around here had told him about a group of cats that lived in the meadows beyond the stream. He had never believed them, but lately he had heard a lot more rumors about it. He had already decided that after sun high, he would go and investigate for himself. After all even an old cat like himself needed to have some adventures now and then

Stormstar | Camp

Seeing his Deputy enter camp, Stormstar hoped down from the oak and padded up to him. He stood tall, trying to look influential, and spoke up "Icefang, I must speak with you at once. You are my trusted Deputy and I know that what I have to ask of you will suit you well" he stood his ground and waited for Icefang to turn around. He knew that the news he had to share would lift weights off both of their shoulders.

Stormstar | Camp

Stirring down, Stormstar gestured for Icefang to do the same. He licked a paw and watched as a sparrow flittered to one of the topmost branches of the oak. That was a rare sight not many birds were bold, or indeed brainless, enough to stray this far into camp. He looked back to Icefang and studied the warrior. He was definitely ready for this. He had earned it, after all he had been alone for a while now "after... Well not much consideration to be honest with you. I've decided on who Lizarpaw's new mentor should be. You're the strongest, and indeed most loyal, cat in this clan. I'd love for you to be his new mentor" he smiled, happy with the way he had put forward the offer. Now Icefang would be more preoccupied during the day and it would help with his restlessness as well. Also now Lizardpaw would be able to gein his warrior name in good time. After all he was getting stronger everyday

Stormstar | Camp

Stormstar left Icefang to think about the decision to be Lizardpaw's mentor. He padded over to Frostmoon, Daisypaw and Cottonwhisker "Hey Frostmoon, would you and Daisypaw please go out on a Drenching Patrol? You can take another cat if you feel like you can't do it alone" he hoped that they'd be able to drench the grass surrounding camp, and maybe even some of the other areas of the territory. The grass had started to cracking and, with the heat rising, the grass would likely burst into flames if something wasn't done soon. Whilst waiting for an answer from the two she-cats, Stormstar looked over to Icefang and hoped he would accept his offer.

Frostmoon | Camp

Looking down at her sulking daughter, Frostmoon sighed, hopefully this'll cheer her up. Turning to Cottonwhisker she smiled "unless you want to come with us, I'll see you later ok?" she brushed her thick tail along his flank and turned back to her leader "of course Stormstar, we'll start with the camp boundary and go out from there" she pawed at her daughter and got her to stand up as she did so too.

Cottonwhisker | Camp

Cottonwhisker merrowed with laughter and affectionately nuzzled Frostmoon's side "my old bones wouldn't carry me as far as the camp entrance. You two go ahead" he stretched out his fore legs and settled back down, slight disheartened that Frostmoon was leaving, but he didn't mind too much, he was used to being on his own nowadays. He closed his eyes as the two cats left and flicked his tail at Stormstar as a sign of respect as he left aswell. He relished the silence that followed and the slight breeze that ruffled his fur.

Lizardpaw was happy to race and ran along behind her. Grasspaw had gotten a small head start, and he was confident he could outrun her if he so chose - whether this was true or not didn't matter to him. So, he ran slower behind her and stopped himself much more easily before going into the river. There was no way he would go in the waters if he could help it.

Taking a seat beside his friend, the tabby tom brought a paw up and rasped his tongue over it then swiped it over an ear a few times before finally just looking down at his reflection in the lazy current. "It's really nice out this sun. The meadow is really pretty right now, too," he commented, his eyes going from his reflection to hers. "But I can still think of something even prettier." The last few words left his mouth without his brain even realizing it. He also didn't realize how intently but softly he was staring at Grasspaw's rippling reflection either.

You meant to tag me I'm pretty sure, lol. It's okay, though. Crap happens, and I'll be okay. Just know that I neglect one of my own rps because of this, too. Also I started an online college course just a couple days ago, too)


Lizardpaw felt a small rush of warmth go through him at her tail touch and the little joking way she called him a mouse-brain. She was finally loosening up and being herself for real, without being so nervous. He liked that a lot, and he hoped to see more this side of her. But then, in an instant, the moment was gone. He tilted his head to the side slightly in confusion. "But we've barely been out here. It hasn't been that long at all," he pointed out, really looking for an argument to stay out with her longer. The tip of his fluffy tail twitched slightly. "Come on, we can stay out for a bit longer. The sun is still out, and I'm almost a warrior. If anything happens, I'll protect you." A warm look was in his amber eyes as he gazed down at her now and not just her reflection.

Lizardpaw was very surprised and even caught off guard by Grasspaw's sudden playfulness as she nuzzled him then ran around him. He could follow her with his head and eyes as she darted about and then batted his trial before coming to rest in the grass, if one could call laughing and flailing rest. He was more confused than anything, just because of how sudden her attitude had changed. But yet, he soon found himself letting out small chuckles and padding to her side where he crouched down beside her. "You're a pretty random she-cat, you know that?" he asked, not at all meaning it in a bad way.

Lizardpaw could only really stare at her as she spoke, even more shocked. She trusted him? But then she excused everything she'd said and went back to being randomly playful. He sat up as she flailed once again and looked over his shoulder at her. "I'd hardly call barely speaking rambling," he meowed then stood to turn around so he faced her, looking down at her. He did find it a bit odd how she could switch between moods in an instant, but he said nothing about that. Every cat had their quirks. "I like it when you open up to me, Grasspaw. I like to know that you not only trust me, but you're comfortable enough around me to really be you and show how you're feeling. You're pretty brave to be doing that."
