Moose & Squirrel Danali smirked at the sound. The sharp whoosh the basket made as the ball fell through. Her form stayed so, left wrist flicked down with the right arm just below, until the basketball bounced onto the court. "Nothin' but net," she bragged to the girl she was paired up with for the session, Layla. "Yeah, after how many tries?" her friend spoke sarcastically, snickering when Danali flipped her off. They both went for the ball, Layla screeching in protest when the darker female got it first. "Danali, Layla!" Their coach called from across the court, with a few of the other girls on the team "Stop playing around like kids!" Danali groaned, then yelled in surprise when Layla snatched the ball away and went in for a layup. "CHEATER!" The shorter female howled. "Alright, go on in, girls," their coach said when the session finally ended "Practice, sleep, study, ogle at your boy or girlfriend or whatever. Make sure you're here by six thirty! Our game is at seven!" Danali sighed in relief. Just out of the range of her... problem. It always started around nine, maybe nine thirty. And that was because she kept her other half satisfied. Turning, she and the rest of the girls headed off to go change. After changing, Danali left the girls locker room wearing her basketball tracksuit, along with a few other girls who had the same fashion. A tradition on game days. Following each other to the lunchroom, Danali was flanked by her friends upon entrance. Yet, she immediately looked for Lukas, smiling slightly when she saw him. "Daawww!" Layla crooned "Watching you is too cute!" She cackled as Danali chased her around into the small crowd where the lunch station was, the other teammates snickering before finding their own table. The two friends were even shoving each other after they'd gotten their lunch. Layla eventually parted ways with Danali though, so she could go sit with her boyfriend. Danali finally found her way over to Lukas, Jacob and Mason, saying hi to them all she sat down, rolling her eyes when she heard Layla yell from across the lunchroom "Keep her smiling, Lukas!"

Lukas chuckled at Layla's comment from practically across the huge room, and then looked over to his girlfriend. "How was basketball practice, babe?" He had already finished his lunch, and Lukas put an arm around her shoulders. Luckily Mason and Jacob just left them alone, because they had vanished from Lukas's side. "Are you ready for your game?" He added, raising an eyebrow. Looking around the lunchroom, almost everyone had gotten finished with their lunch, and it was about to be a different subject for those who took extra classes. Lukas only picked three, but they weren't at the end of the day, so he guessed it was the end of school for him. Then he focused his attention back on Danali, smiling.

School was always a pain, there was never a day that wasn't. And with her MCJROTC being quite demanding, it was nearly impossible to sleep in passed 0430. However, she was going to stick with it, there was a lot Marines Corps JROTC can offer. Rebekah had just finished her Algebra II class for the day and was making her way to where she and Grayson, her soon-to-be boyfriend, would normally meet up after school. Why soon-to-be boyfriend? Well, it was simple: Rebekah ans Grayson were practically dating already, but she wasn't going to say Grayson was her boyfriend yet. Because he wasn't. Rebekah wasn't prepared to date anyone without her parent's permission, as their opinion meant a lot to her. She wasn't sure when to ask them, but Rebekah and Grayson were planning on it to be soon. With those thoughts in mind along with one's about school, Rebekah left the main building and walked over to the bench where she saw Grayson. He always found a way to make her happy, and right now it was just being there. "Yo dawg." She greeted in an obviously joking manner. She only ever said that if she felt like acting stupid. That was her specialty after all: stupid humor.

Grayson raised an eyebrow, holding back a chuckle. "Yo," he managed to say. "In a creative mood today I see?" He asked, pulling his backpack's zipper shut from when he was doing something earlier. "How was the school day for ya?" Grayson got up slowly, pulling his backpack over his shoulder. "And where do you want to go?" He stared at the school bus which had pulled up beside the school. Probably not home, I'm guessing. He thought. Although, maybe she would want to go home.

Moose & Squirrel "It went great, when Layla wasn't nabbing the ball from me," Danali said with a glance in Layla's direction with a small smile. When Lukas' arm went around her shoulders, she leaned into him a little, answering "Yeah, I am. Coach Marley had us all practicing double for tonight. Supposed to be a tough team." After taking a few bites of her food, she asked "What about you? How'd your classes go?" She was aware that he was finished for the day, with his subjects anyway. Danali had just finished her day as well, practicing with her team being the last task on her list. She didn't want to have any evening classes, as going to games was already pushing it. Being around so much... red, was much too tempting sometimes. She preferred the smaller crowds, where the scent of copper was minimal, and her spirit wouldn't stir and groan. "Do you have time to come watch?" Danali asked, turning her gaze to look at Lukas. Sometimes he did, sometimes he didn't, but today she hoped he would. She couldn't help but recall one game, when she nearly ****zed out. A tentacle nearly broke her skin when another girl actually hit her. It created a large bump on her side, desperately wanting to rip out and pull her apart. And Danali would've let it, had she not been in public. Good thing Lukas hadn't been to that game. The stress of talking herself out of the situation had already been too much (the bump had disappeared within a minute.) Her brows bent at the thought, bringing an unpleasant look to her face.

Lukas thought for a moment. "My classes went well, I think I pretty much finished my homework before football practice, and.." He trailed off. "I don't think my parents come home for quite a while after school, and all my dog needs is a walk and food after school, so yeah I'll probably attend your game," he gave her a quick kiss on the head, and he hugged her in closer. "What are your plans tonight after your game?" Lukas wondered. "I'm guessing just hanging out at home?" He focused on her unpleasant looking face. "You okay?" She looked troubled, and he wanted to make sure she was okay. ( Smokey Feather)
