(Sorry about my late replies)
Daffodilstar leaned down to touch noses with the kit. "You can be whoever you want to be." She stared intently at the small kit. "Do you want to be a warrior or medicine cat? It's up to you to choose." Then she looked up to see Tigertail and his mate, still proccessing the words. "Kits? That's wonderful!" She turned back to Brokenkit. "Think hard about your decision for a few minutes while I go take care of some Clan bussiness."
Tigertail beamed--not very discreetly. "I know!" He puffed out his chest.
Featherflight's quiet voice carried throughout the den. "Could you tell me how soon my kits are coming?" Her question was directed at Mallowbreeze. I want as much time as I can have before I have to stay in the nursery.
- Owlmoon Mallowbreeze narrowed her eyes. "Maybe in a bit less than two moons if you've just realized this now, but you can never be sure." She replied with a little shrug, feeling awkward to not be able to predict anything. She looked at Tigertail, who looked quick proud, and smirked. |

Tigertail pricked his ears at the sound of the kit conversation.
Daffodilstar turned to put her full attention in Tigertail. "So, how are things looking for your kits?" She hadn't talked about things like this in a while. "How is Featherflight holding up?"
Tigertail paused, glancing at the Clan leader. "Well." He answered the two questions with the one word. Might as well kill two birds with one bite, right?

"I don't need to do any further examining. If you only discovered this now, then it's probably around two moons. That's the average time a queen has before kitting when she just discovered she is carrying them." Mallowbreeze explained. "You can choose when to move to the nursery, but I suggest soon."

Featherflight tilted her head. "Oh." It seemed strange that all of the cats would realize that they were having kits at the same time.

"Yes, it's true. Right now I cannot determine anything this early, maybe in a quarter moon or so. I will barely be able to feel the kits now. Two moons is just the average time that all queens carry kits for before they start knitting, however they might come earlier or later." Mallowbreeze felt exasperated trying to explain, but stayed calm.

"Oh, okay." Featherflight now had a small--but vague--idea of what she was talking about. "Oh I guess that makes sense." She watched as her mate mysteriously left the den unannounced.
Tigerail had bee following the conversation the entire time. Now he ran to the prey-pile. HIs mate should only have the best of the best while expecting his kits.

Tigertail stalked into the den once again, gently setting down his prey. He'd heard what the medicine cat had said, yet was oblivious to his mate's reply. "I'll make sure of it!", he meowed.
