Lemmingpaw is outgoing and eccentric, and usually acts first before she thinks. There has been many a time where she has gotten herself into trouble because she has a tendency to sneak out of camp late at night. She is also mouthy and has a quick tongue, known to speak back to authority when she disagrees with them or she’s simply feeling sassy.

Lemmingpaw was born to an ex-Clan queen and sired by an unknown loner. Her mother was exiled after discovery of her out-of-Clan affair, and shortly after Lemmingpaw’s birth, she was forced to leave. Lemmingpaw never knew her birth mother; all she knows is from what her two older half-brothers, Talonmask and Windswirl, have chosen to relay to her. These brothers are of the same mother, but a different unknown tom.

Lemmingpaw is the half-sister of Talonmask and Windswirl.

{ Talonmask | Male | 30 | Warrior }

Talonmask is a long-legged, silky-furred grey tabby tom with black marbled stripes, white flecks on his cheeks and nose, and dark blue eyes.

Talonmask is stoic and responsible, the poster cat for Clan life. He believes strongly in the warrior code, and will enforce it at all costs. However, this can mean that he can give off a “cold shoulder” vibe. Talonmask is very strict and literal in the sense that jokes can easily fly past him, or that he doesn’t take them or pranks very well. And romantic advances are a whole other story: Talonmask wouldn’t recognize someone crushing on him if they shouted it right in his face. It’s not that he’s stupid (he’s actually rather intelligent!), he’s simply, slow to social cues. In general, this lanky grey tom is a fantastic warrior and guardian of his Clan, but not the most homey character...

Talonmask is very close to his brother Windswirl, however. Being his only other littermate, and consequently an identical twin, had that effect on the tabby cat. Not even his own mother held such a dear place in his relationship circle like Windswirl does. Speaking of his mother, Talonmask holds a deep disdain for her. Hatred against one’s own mother sounds awful on the surface, but the fact that she turned her back on her own Clan by being promiscuous with an outsider disgusts him--especially since she had the nerve to lie and say the father was of Clan blood! And when Lemmingpaw was born, any shred of respect that he had held for his mother disappeared; he was thankful when she was exiled from the Clan. As for Lemmingpaw...even though she is his kin, he doesn’t entirely believe she should be living in the Clan due to her half-blood nature.

It is in this half-blooded truth that Talonmask has a dark conflict with his identity. Of course, he feels entirely loyal to his home Clan, but also the warrior code. In some respects, Talonmask believes that his very existence spits on the ideals he holds so dear. It’s a conundrum that the tabby hasn’t come close to cracking anytime soon. Despite that, however, Talonmask swears that even if he may not be pureblood, he will hold himself and remain loyal to his home as if he was.

{ Windswirl | Male | 30 | Warrior }

Windswirl is a long-legged, silky-furred grey tabby tom with black marbled stripes, white flecks on his nose, cheeks, and throat, and stunning light blue eyes.

Windswirl is optimistic and a very generous cat. He rejects confrontation when it can be helped and instead tries talking out the situation. He is also very laid-back and calm, developing an “enjoy life as it is” mantra that often gets criticized for laziness. Seldom will he argue or complain about something, because he feels that “negativity is a waste of precious energy and good karma”. Of course, when he says these things out loud, all he gets is odd looks in response. Another notable aspect regarding Windswirl is that he has an affinity with flowers and herbs. An enjoyable passtime of his is finding a lush flowerbed or herb patch to roll in--even if it’s caused a trip or two to the medicine cat for an irritating rash or insect sting.

Windswirl has had a troubling past regarding his immediate kin. Being the second born of his litter of two, his brother Talonmask usually led as a voice of authority. This wasn’t always very pleasant to witness, considering Talonmask can get very vocal and heated--especially if it’s regarding his mother. Windswirl understands that what his mother did was very wrong in the eyes of his Clan and the warrior code, but he has also learned to look past that and forgive her. He believes that her bond to him as his birth mother is stronger than any Clan rule could ever be, and was very heartbroken when she was exiled. But now that her last kit Lemmingpaw is living in the Clan, he has made it a priority of his to ensure that she leads a good life. It’s the best way he could think of to honor her. It’s what she would have wanted.

Windswirl is the brother of Talonmask and the half-brother of Lemmingpaw.
