It doesn't have to be the greatest starter in the world, as long as it's something x3 and that's fine, sleep is important.

[ Ofc i can try to c: ]
Marcus was dreading school. He hated seeing people, or more like, those from the other "packs" his father had told him about. Sure, he didn't understand yet what his father meant by the whole thing, but he did scent differences between everyone, and feel tension when others looked at him. Was he really that different? Marcus didn't know. And he never really stuck around after to see if he was different. His father had always told him not to worry about others, and that he would explain everything when he came home. That was almost a month ago, to this day.
Marcus sat in his English 101 class, staring at the powerpoint the professor had up on the projector, writing notes he found intriguing, but having a short attention span caused him to casually play a game or two on his phone or lap top. When the professor brought up the topic of projects and partner work with the person to his left, Marcus pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and glanced towards his left to see another male who he knew to be named Lucas Mendoza.
Marcus found him cute, and well, there he went, blushing like crazy. "Looks like you and I have to be partners or something." He mumbled shyly, a soft grin tugging the corners of his lips back. This should be fun, huh, Marcus? Just dont screw up, you don't even know this guy.

Lucas didn't really like school either. He never really wanted to go to college but his mamá insisted so he could be a successful man in his future. Just like his older brother and his papá. So here he was, sitting in English 101, listening to his professor lecture on about the topic in the powerpoint up on the projector. He took simple notes, nothing too detailed, he would probably redo them later. He wasn't entirely paying attention but he stayed on task, he usually zoned out a lot during boring lectures.
He did start listening again though when the professor brought up their partner work. He was supposed to be working with the guy next to him, and he was pretty sure his name was Marcus. He didn't really know too many people in his classes, but he didn't exactly try to get to know them either. He turned his head and looked over at him with his dark colored eyes. Was he blushing? “Yeah, I guess so.” he said as he set his pencil down and leaned back in his chair. His mexican accent showed through slightly as he spoke.

Marcus sat back in his seat, scooting back a little, rubbing his chin, a small amused and shy smile pulling his lips back at the corner. "I doubt I've introduced m'self. I'm Marcus Romans. And you are? What're ya studying here?" The Asian male shifted in his seat and thought quietly to himself. This project could be a lot of, that was, if Marcus could get this other guy to like him in the least. Which made him a little nervous. Not very many people liked him, he didn't understand why. He didn't care though. Marcus fiddled his thumbs. "Since it's a project on a topic of our pick... Maybe... I dunno if you want to, but if we could, could we possibly do Alexander Hamilton?" Marcus prompted curiously, his brown gaze glittering happily.

Lucas gaze quickly looked over the young man as he introduced himself before he looked away. "Lucas, Lucas Mendoza. I'm here to study business, but there is still some general stuff I need to take." he said, introducing himself. The only reason he was in this class was because it was required, he would rather take more interesting classes. He would rather not be in school at all. "We can do that for our project, I don't have any better ideas." he said to him then picked up his pencil again then started fiddling around with it. He actually didn't really have any ideas at all and was kind of glad that Marcus picked the topic for them.

Marcus shifted in his chair, pushing it back as he checked his watch. They had about a minute or two left in class before college was over for the day. The Asian was thankful for that. He sighed softly and looked back at Lucas. "Do you think we could hang out a little after class? Maybe at my house, or in the library so we can figure out more about our topic?" Marcus suggested, shuffling his stuff to put it all in his backpack. His tongue licked and traced his lips, feeling how dry and cracked they were becoming. This is what the winter did to him, and he hated it. Good thing was, he rarely felt the cold. His eyes shifted to the other male as he waited patiently for Lucas to answer.

"Sure, we can hang out. I don't have any plans." Lucas said with a shrug. He noticed it was getting near the end of class so he grabbed his backpack and started to pack up his things. He was glad that classes were ending for the day. Even though he would much rather enjoy doing other things after classes other than working on a project he knew they had to get it done. "Let's go to the library, they have a lot of resources and it's easy to focus in there." Lucas answered him as he stood up from his chair and put his backpack on his shoulders.

Marcus carefully stood up from his seat, fixing the glasses that were perched on the bridge of his nose. With his lips pursed, he nodded agreement to Lucas' words. "I see your point. Yeah, the library will definitely be a better help than my own house." He couldn't help the chuckle that left his lips as he listened to the bell chime a soft b-flat chord in his ear. He hummed a little, glad classes were finally over for the day. He wasn't here to study math or english or science; he found it dumb that he even had to take those classes. Marcus planned to major in music education, with a minor of dance choreography. But, here he was, exiting an English 101 class with his new found partner, heading towards the library to search up things about the founding father of America, Alexander Hamilton.

(No worries ^^ )
Lucas glanced up at the clock with the sound of the bell then started to exit the classroom. Once out of the classroom he glanced over at his project partner. "So what are you studying here?" he asked Marcus, asking him the same question that he asked him earlier. Since they were going to have to walk all the way to the library together he thought he could strike up some friendly conversation. He didn't exactly want to walk the whole way there in awkward silence. Plus if they were going to be spending hours after classes to work on a project he might as well get to know the guy.

[ alright, I'll try to be more on top of my replies though, but I might not be able to get any in on Tuesday's and Thursdays, due to rehearsals and such. ]
Marcus pushed open the doors of the library, which had happened to be right down the hall from the English class the two males were taking. He looked back at Lucas when the question was spoken, hesitating. He walked towards a table that was inside the large area of books, slipping his bag off and placing it in the chair. He licked his lips before turning back to Lucas, finally deciding to answer his question. "My major is Music Education. It'll take me a few years before I'm finished, but i thank the gods that I only need this year of English and Maths, then I can just focus on my music studies." Marcus answer honestly, unzipping his sweatshirt before slinging it over the back of the chair. He turned his attention to the different shelves and various rows and collections of books. His gaze scanned the sections until he found the one labeled Biographies. With a nod to confirm to himself that that was the section he needed, he gestured for Lucas to follow him, walking towards the aisle, peering over the shelves of books.

(Okay, good to know c: )
Lucas made his way into the library and glanced around before he followed Marcus over to the table. He went to the other side of the table and repeated Marcus' action by taking off his backpack and putting on the chair across from the one he picked. He was a music major? How interesting. He watched Marcus as he scanned the sections of books then made his way over to him when he gestured him to follow. "So what are we looking for exactly?" he asked his partner as he looked up at the shelves of books. He knew they were doing a project on Alexander Hamilton but he didn't know if his biography was the only thing they were looking for. He would do his part of the project when the time comes but for right now he was letting Marcus take charge of everything.

Marcus shifted from foot to foot as he looked over the multiple biographies, his thumb and pointer finger pinching his bottom lip gently. He heaved a soft sigh as he continued looking. His eyes eventually began to sparkle when he found the large biography of Alexander Hamilton, turning to look at Lucas. "This. But I also want to see if we can find other biographies on the other founding fathers." He suggested. Marcus was a history geek, and he quite loved that he was given the chance to choose the topic. He turned back towards the books on the shelves and picked out a few more books, one about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and even one about Aaron Burr. He grinned and turned to Lucas once more. "These work. Let's go sit down and get to reading, yeah?" He suggested, raising an eyebrow. Marcus started to walk back to the table, setting the books down on it before he sat down, sliding the Alexander Hamilton book towards himself. He pulled out a notebook and pencil, planning to write down information.

Lucas stood back and crossed his arms as his eyes scanned over the titles on the spine of the books. He looked over at Marcus when he pulled the first book then watched him as he continued to pick out books for their project, he quickly glanced over the titles and covers as the books were pulled off the shelves. "Yeah." he muttered with a nod then followed Marcus back over to the table. He didn't really want to spend his time after classes reading and taking more notes, but he knew he had to and he knew he had to contribute to this project. He grabbed a notebook and a pencil from his bag then grabbed the book on George Washington. "I only need to write down the information on Hamilton, right?" he asked, not looking up at him as he flipped open the book.

Marcus crossed one leg over the other, growing silent as he started skimming through the book, wiggling a pencil in his hand. He looked up when Lucas joined him, raising an eyebrow before nodding. "Anything you find about Hamilton, yes. And possibly his relationship with Washington." He explained before turning his attention back to the thick book. He let out a little sigh. This project would take a while, but he would go with it. It wasn't like he had a choice, either way. He needed to get the two of them a good grade.

Lucas nodded and put his attention on the book and started to skim and flip through the book, looking for any relevant information in the book. He jotted down a few things that he thought were important and related to the topic. After writing a few things down he glanced up at Marcus. "Do you mind if I listen to my music? It helps me focus." he said to him as he reached for his headphones and his phone. He didn't really like working in silence, he needed some sort of noise to keep him focused and music worked just fine for that.
