Mintbreeze looked a little annoyed but nodded. "Fine, but you're coming right back here afterwards, and I'm likely going to have to take a look at your paw again right afterwards, let's go"

The siblings froze, looking at each other with amazement. We're actually old enough? Batkit thought as she saw the alarm spread over Spiderkits face.
"Batkit- your fur!" He hissed, quickly licking his sisters fur into submission- at least the best he could do. The tom had quickly taken over the motherly duties- making sure his sister looked presentable to the clan, while Batkit always made sure her brother ate, as he always forgot to.
"Hey- s-stop it!" She whined, swatting him away before bounding up to their leader, surprised she was able to become an apprentice, even though she was so undersized. Spiderkit followed quickly, tripping momentarily before standing next to their leader, eyes wide.

Cinderstar smiled. "Batkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Batpaw. Your mentor will be Oakpelt. I hope Oakpelt will pass down all he/she knows on to you." Cinderstar looked up, and spoke again. "Oakpelt, will you please step forward?"
Oakpelt was surprised, and yet honored to be called up. He hadn't apprenticed a cat yet. One step closer to becoming deputy, a small part of his mind whispered.
Cinderstar focused his stare at Oakpelt. "Oakpelt, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Softstream, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and strong. You will be the mentor of Batpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."

"Be careful" Mintbreeze muttered as Oakpelt got up. She wasn't sure how he was exactly going to train Batpaw for now with his paw. Maybe she should go with them just in case?

Unfortunately for Oakpelt, Batpaw didn't exactly have a speech filter. Her eyes widened when she saw the small brown tom step forward and let out a small excited mew,
"You're small! Like me!" Not exactly listening to what Cinderstar had to say. The new apprentice stepped forward eagerly, ready to touch noses with her new mentor, fur fluffed out. As she stepped forward, she stumbled slightly, pelt burning with embarrassment as she straightened herself out, ready to be accepted by her new mentor.

Spiderkit repressed a groan as Batkit-no, Batpaw, blurted out what was on her mind. She really needed to get a better hold on controlling her thoughts. The tom kit shifted his weight, wondering who his mentor would be. I hope I get one... Cinderstar was pretty mad when she found me climbing to the top of the Great Oak.. He thought worriedly.

Oakpelt chuckled. "Yes, I am, I'm sure Cinderstar did that on purpose," he whispered to his new apprentice, touching his nose to hers. The clan cheered, shouting and chanting, "Batpaw! Batpaw! Batpaw!"
After the chanting for Batpaw had subsided, Cinderstar spoke over the chatter of the clan, quieting them. "Spiderkit, will you please step forward? You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Spiderpaw. Your mentor will be Foxleaf. I hope Foxleaf will pass down all she knows on to you."

But remember, even Cinderstar had to clean out nurseries and tend to elders when he was an apprentice." He shifted his weight, his paw was bothering him again. "The health and safety of the clan comes before the health and safety of one cat. That's one of the main rules of the Warrior Code, something the entire three clans agree to and follow." |

Foxleaf and Snowtiger turned to watch the ceremony. At the sound of her name Foxleaf padded forward. She was proud to have her first apprentice and she had always loved helping her younger clanmates learn and grow.

(Emma percussionist Or I used to. I couldn't play my senior year and haven't been able to in college, but you know what they say, once a band geek always a band geek.) "If you say so," She mewed grudgingly, flinching at the medicine cats stern tone. She couldn't imagine being a medicine cat apprentice- it seemed so boring, she bet that they had to do stuff like that all the time, instead of exploring the new territory. "But what if they don't like me?" She asked, looking at the elders den, eyes wide. "Hi!" Spider paw whispered to his new mentor, fur bristling in excitement. "I promise I'll be the best apprentice ever!" He added, not noticing his sister talking with the medicine cat apprentice. |

"They can be a little grumpy, but they mean well, you'll learn a lot too" Mintbreeze assured, knowing full well how much they liked to talk about past battles and such.

Foxleaf touched noses with the friendly young tom. He seemed like he'd be heartwarming to teach. "Hi," she meowed very friendly and smiling, "I'm sure you will be."

Foxleaf looked proundly at her new apprentice glad to be a mentor. Nodding graciously to Cinderstar she turned to Spiderpaw. "I was about to lead a patrol let me see if you can come too." Foxleaf looked around for Copperfur who had given her the patrol.
