I was going to ask ages and ages ago if you've read a Case Study of Vanitas because I know you like those type of stories. It's an awesome manga. Character accepted. You are free to RP. All my characters are currently tide up, but if you want to jump in with Arlo, Stranger, and me you can. )

"No, I'm not, Time Lord," The Master replied shortly, "you know, I look human, but am technically better, so." He shrugged, pursing his lips and lifting his eyebrows cheekily before turning away to shuffle down the hall a bit, poking his head into a door and closing it completely after he saw nothing inside. Nothing at all. Boring. As Myrnin spoke he turned back, peering down at the note with his hands jammed in his pockets. "No, no, it's not the note," he replied, toothy, cynical smile spreading across his pale face, "though I was hoping for more restful blackness after death." My head's always like this by the way. Annoying, pounding. Thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk." "Ouch," said Myrnin. He looked down at his note. "Well, speaking as someone whose been dead longer than alive, this is pretty normal. No idea what happens to humans when they die, though. I've only run into a couple of ghosts and I don't think they count." He placed the note back in his pocket. "Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do for your head. It has been a long time since I have known anything about modern medicine. (Mind if broken jumps in, --cato phoenix and @bolderpelt?)

(( fine with me! Aw, bye mint! )) "A vampire and a Time Lord, interesting... Hey, that's the same letter I got," Arlo reached into her pocket and pulled out the crumpled note she'd found in the room she'd woke up in. The ink had smudged slightly from her stuffing it into her pocket, but not badly, it was still easy to see that she'd checked off option three and group player. "Maybe this is all real somehow..."

Kuragehime @bolderpelt mintedstar/fur"Stealing artifacts in a museum?" Morpheus echoed, not believeing a thing the note was telling them. "I am starting to doubt this note. Stealing from a museum would only cause problems and I don't know about you three, but I definitely don't want to be arrested."

"Oh, screw off, no one can do anything for my head. It's always been this way," The Master grumbled, pulling out his own note as Arlo produced hers. He flashed it quickly in front of them with a flourish of his wrist, showing that he'd chosen option one, and opted for the single option. He quickly folded it and stuffed it back in his pants' pocket, cracking his neck once more.

(Well, first everyone RPing here tag. Because we are getting our first 'radio broadcast'. broken, tinybreeze, --cato phoenix, @gemflower, @bolderpelt, and Kuragehime) Through the museum, no matter where everyone was, came a hissing of dead air through speakers. Then came the tapping as someone poked an invisible microphone. Like they do in those moves and that your principle finds so funny, you know the type. Two coughs and suddenly a voice, which was probably male, boomed from the speakers no one could ever see or find. "If you are to far away from the glass divider than you can make your way back there or listen from where you are. Welcome to my museum. I am Sable and you are the second wave of people to enter it. So enjoy it while you can, because you wont be the last." For all those near the glass border a face had appeared on it, projected on it like a movie screen. The face was blurry and was in shadows. But it was more like they where apart of the face, and not some way of discussing the true face.

Eleven, in shock, stared up at the darkened, looming image on the glass, backing up as her heart pounded. If there had been something in the vicinity that could've been (accidentally) telepathically thrown, than it would've been, due to the unchecked fear in the young girl's heart, but she managed not to throw anyone, which was arguably worse than anything. Meanwhile, down the glass divider and hidden by the hall of rooms, was Buck Vu, alone and huddled by the wall as he watched this Sable guy talk to them. Maybe he wasn't a guy at all. Maybe he was a monster. But, Buck reminded himself to breath, and stayed put, waiting to see what the giant, projected head was going to say to him and to anyone else that was here, somewhere.
---
On the other side, The Doctor had stopped in the hall, listening. He didn't know how far they were from the glass divider, so he waited for the word of the others, if any was going to come. So, they were the second group of people here? Well, that meant that the first had either made it out. Or they were dead. Well, they were dead already, but maybe more dead than they were now. And, oh, for The Master this was just great. On top of the pounding in his head, there was this loon's pounding voice droning over the loudspeakers. It took everything in the Time Lord's body to keep himself from flattening his hands over his ears, though it would only block out one of the two sounds that plagued him.

Conan turned to follow Eleven's gaze. His spine tingled and the hair on the back of his neck stood on end. They weren't the first one's here? What had happened to the first wave of people? He studied the face. The eyes weren't visible, yet, but he could sort of sense where they where looking. The face appeared slightly see through and a misty double image could be seen behind it. His face was appearing on both sides of the glass. Conan turned his eyes away from the face and looked around the edge of the hallway, where the wall met the roof. No visible speakers or cameras. So it was possibly magic? Or just advanced technology?
--
Kid, who could now see the actual museum, now realized why it looked like people had just tossed everything around. The first set of people had already looked for the items they needed to get out of here. Had they found them? "I wonder if we should head back," he said. He wasn't sure if there was anything they could do from here. Looking back the way they had come, Sable's face was just a dark outline with no features at all. Kid hopped that was just because of the distance. "What is all this about?"
--
Myrnin turned to look at the face. He hadn't noticed that the glass wall right away. As he looked down the hall he noticed that another person was also standing there, but his eyes just continued to follow the line of rooms until his eyes met the place that Sable's should have been. "Hum... we may be getting some answers soon," he said. He seemed quite happy about this. He was drawn back to look at the Master. "Ah, you know, I wonder if things like madness and head problems can even transfer when you are dead. Are you sure your not just hanging onto it because you are used to it?" This sentence seemed mildly less insane than usual. But Myrnin knew well how bad he got when he was sane. So he punctuated the end of that sentence with another grin. Even if he was hanging on to any problem he had in life, he was clearly not letting them go.

Even if he was hanging on to any problem he had in life, he was clearly not letting them go. "How's he doing that?" Eleven murmured under her breath, voice Conan's thoughts as her head craned up as well. Normally, she had some doubt as to whether something was genuinely confounding, or if it was just going over her head (possibly literally this time), but she saw no projectors or anything. Mike had showed her a movie on one once, well, only a tiny bit of a movie, and it had scared her so badly he'd turned it off. This was like that, but it made her fear of the unfamiliar moving pictures seem silly compared to this man, apparently named Sable. Another weird name she'd never heard.
---
The Doctor looked dover his shoulder, and then back into the museum, and then back over his shoulder, before shrugging and saying simply, "Well, we don't have to go back." He didn't think he was going to. Clearly it was some kind of hologram projected in two dimensions onto the glass, or at least that was what The Doctor saw it as from this distance. No reason to go and investigate if he could just listen, eh?
---
The Master's gaze didn't go back to Myrnin. It just settled up on the glass wall, the face hidden in shadow. He listened though, the twitch that was rolling his neck recurring as he felt a twinge of annoyance in his stomach. Thump thump thump thump. "No, I'm not just hanging onto it because I'm used to it," The Master grumbled, giving the vampire a tiny glance as he continued, "I would be rid of it like that. In a heartbeat."

Myrnin shrugged. "Human heads. Don't know anything about them even if they are a 'Time Lord'." Then he muttered under his breath, "Though he has yet to explain what that is." Myrnin waited for Sable's next words, but the man remain silent, as if waiting for something. Could he hear them talking? That would make sense, wouldn't it? "Do you think he can hear us?" the vampire asked.

"Well, if you asked what a Time Lord was, then I might consider telling you, but since you didn't ask..." The Master clucked, breaking his gaze from Sable's dark face to actually look at Myrnin, his own deep set, glittering eyes peering at the vampire before he shrugged, looking about. "If he can talk to us then he can probably hear us too," he finally decided, "though I don't understand why he expects us to stop talking for him if he's not brave enough to come in here and speak to us face to face."

Finally finished this! ]] Mint, Stranger: Kagura's blue eyes flicked to the image on the glass wall and her body tensed. "So that's Sable, yes? The one who put us here?" she asked, though she really didn't direct it at any one of them in particular. The umbrella left her shoulder and she started marching straight for the wall. "Oi! What's the big idea!" she yelled, her steps picking up speed. She stopped just before the wall and aimed the point of the her umbrella at it, firing a few shots at the blurred face. They all bounced off, and she stood there glaring at it. Nyx kept his mouth shut, just trying to take in the situation so he could make the best decision. He wasn't quite ready to form an immediate opinion of this Sable guy... though his personality did seem similar to other he encountered back when he was alive. He smirked, never thoguht I'd be saying something like that.~~~ Gem, Mint, Stranger: Gintoki raised an eyebrow at the announcement, and scratched his head once he spotted the face down the hall. He snorted. "Seems like a coward to me. Just get out here and show us your face like a man," he said, not caring whether Sable could actually hear them or not. He was starting to get a little irritated, Gintoki wasn't someone who cared to do things according to someone else's rules.

Arlo glanced at the paper The Master was holding her eye focusing momentarily on the opinions he'd checked off before she was distracted by the voice coming through the speakers. "Sable..." she muttered as she looked down the hall toward the divider the voice had spoke of. She hadn't even noticed the glass wall before since she'd just been following the voices she'd heard when she stepped out of her room, but she could definitely see it now. There were more people she didn't recognize standing by it, more people who were stuck in this this museum place appearently. "I think I'm going to try and get a closer look..." She said, slowly walking down the hallway as she watched the image on the glass. So far, Arlo wasn't sure what to feel about this Sable person, he'd trapped her and who knew how how many other people in this museum, but according to the note, they had all died and were being offered a chance at returning to their lives... should she be mad or grateful? It was the most bizarre situation she'd ever found herself in.

Stranger, Mint, Kurage--
Morpheus' expresstion changed at anger and irritation, spinning around to just barely notice the face plastered on the glass wall. The fae looked towards the others in his group, then at the way they were about to go. "Still, sounds fake to me. If Sable had something important to say, they'd greet us all in person," he muttered. "Also, I say we keep going, though it looks like a train wreck in the museum "
~~
Anyone--
July was closer to the glass wall, so he was able to see the face more clearly, though he just stared at it with little emotion whatsoever. The boy's head tilted as he turned around from where he stood, beginning to follow the voices of a group. He wasn't too concerned about what Sable had said.

Eleven put her arm up in defense as Kagura fired shots of energy out of that umbrella, and they ricocheted. Of course, none of them hit her, but still. She shifted uncomfortably as she looked back at Sable's face, eyes narrowing. After a moment, just to test it out, she tried to move him. The all too familiar strain in her head and neck appeared, but the Sable projected on the glass didn't shift, so she stopped. Dabbing at her one, she could tell that she was already bleeding, so she just wiped it away. "You're not going to be able to hit him," she said, nearly in a whisper.
---
"I agree with him," The Doctor said, inclining his head towards Morpheus, "if Sable is so great and powerful he can talk to us while we're in there." He glanced towards the ceiling, like he wanted a reaction, but then started to walk again, not really caring or worrying about whether the others were going to immediately follow. Just stepping out into the museum, he could tell that the ones who had been here before had completely and totally ripped through the entire thing in order to find the two objects. Things were broken on the floor, others whole but fallen on their sides. It was definitely a museum though, pedestals, high ceilings, columns, display cases, even if it looked like a tornado had ripped through it.
---
The Master just grunted, glancing at Myrnin before he reluctantly began to head after Arlo. He had no trouble absolutely hating this Sable guy. Why take away a nice quiet death? That was all he'd ever wanted, really, for his head to be quiet. He didn't really care where he was, what it was like, as long as the noise stopped, but here it didn't stop. If anything, he was so strung out that it was only getting worse, louder, faster. "Do you remember how you died?" he asked Arlo, randomly, as he walked after her, hands in his pockets.

The face's eyes finally came into focus, like someone had tuned a TV properly for once. Anyone who was near wished that they hadn't. His eyes were not normal. They looked like black tunnels. Another cough, he seemed unable to start talking without this little break. "I reinforced the glass this time. Someone is sure to break it one of these days, but I wouldn't want this to be like the last time. Now, for those of you who didn't know or haven't been told, you are now dead. D.E.A.D. Nothing to worry about though, since my challenge isn't to hard to complete. It took the last group around 6 months. Also, you have a leg up over the first people who were here. You got to chose your paths from the start. Now, I'll give you another clue." Something, one could only assume it was a hand, held up a box. "This is what the last wave of people started to call 'Freedom'. I just started calling it that as well. Cute little name really for a truly deadly box." The box had intricate designs that looked a little like Celtic knots. It was pitch black. The hand let it go and the box disappeared out of existence. "It's now somewhere in the museum. Feel free to look for it." Sable was probably perfectly aware that he hadn't answered the main question...why were they there?

Arlo shook her head. "No, the last thing I remember is eating dinner and going to bed.... I can't remember a lot of details though and it's kind of a blur. I don't know what could have happened." She blinked a couple of times as the image came into focus, but stayed where she was. She wasn't really sure what she'd been expecting, but she had to admit that Sable's eyes were rather unnerving. She focused on the box he was holding and tried to memorize the details. It wasn't what she was looking for but she figured it would be good to remember what it looked like. (( I think I gtg for a bit, school ))

"I know what happened to me," The Master said cryptically, though he didn't elaborate as his eyes focused on the box that Arlo had just produced. He didn't actually remember; he just had a pretty good idea. They'd beaten him enough times that death had been imminent from internal bleeding and head injuries anyways, so he wasn't shocked that he was dead, just dissatisfied with where he'd ended up.

(@gemflower, I hope you don't mind me throwing in my character)
Noé was really close to the glass wall, staring at the figure that showed on it. He shivered a little, staring at the note again. "We are dead, this note is true," he whispered to himself, then glanced around some and headed over to the closest person, who happened to be July. "Excuse me, little boy," the teenager said with a smile, kneeling down to get to his height, "I don't know my way around here, so would you mind if I follow you? And do you know where the main attraction in this museum is?"

Kid was paying attention to the voice of Sable, but he was with the others. He stepped into the museum and looked around. Along the edge of the wall on one side where scorch marks. "Wonder what made those?" he wondered. He looked up and around, it seemed that if there had been any order here the thieves of the last wave of people had messed it up. He slowly turned, taking it all in. As he looked, item after item caught his eye. He walked over to a broken display case. Inside was a flute, which had tumbled to the bottom of the case and rested against the glass. Kid did something very dumb. He picked it up, carefully pulling it from glass. "Why is this here?" he asked no one. Something, like a hollow note, echoed from the flute. "Eh!" said Kid. "I didn't even blow into it." Then something else came from the flute. But it wasn't music. It was a jet of fire, uncontrolled and unstoppable.
--
Myrnin was the last to approach the glass. He looked up at the eyes of his captor without caring. He reach out his hand and touched the glass, wondering. Sable's odd eyes seemed to turn to him, but they never truly looked directly at the vampire. Conan, on the other side of the glass, knew how Kagura felt. He walked up behind her and noticed the faint outlines of others behind the glass. He no longer was looking at Sable, but through him. His eyes met Myrnin's. The vampire grinned and Conan saw what was going to happen a second before it did. "Move!" he shouted a warning to Kagura and anyone else that could hear. Sable's eyes moved, almost looking at Conan. His expression turned to one of interest. Myrinin drew his hand back, then he pushed his hand forward, hand like a claw. His fingers met the glass and stabbed through. But Sable had spoken true. The glass was strong. When Myrnin took his hand away it was bleeding badly, but he had left the glass weakened.
