Asher gave her a weird look. "What? It looks perfectly fine. I killed her like an hour ago," he defended. He was assuming that Violet looked disgusted because she thought the piece of meat was old or looked bad in some way. Whatever it was, he couldn't see it. In fact, he had to admit he was getting hungry again, or maybe that was just his mouth talking (wanting him to eat more than he really needed.) "Don't tell me you're that picky."

{rp}"No, its just," she said, trailing off. "I don't want it. Thank you for your offer, it was awfully nice of you, but I can't." She said, holding it back out towards him.

"You don't want food? Come on," he replied, rolling his eyes. "You need it more than I do, but…" He took it back, taking a small bite. Chewing and swallowing quickly, he held it back out to her. "See? Tastes fine, like cake," he added, laughing. He didn't know what cake actually tasted like. Well, it mostly tasted like rubber and vomit were melted together in a vat, but he meant how humans tasted it. By how expensive it was, it had to be good.

{ooc}soOOOSOSOSOSO SorRY i poofed for a while >.<
{rp}Looking down at it, she thought for a moment before taking it back, her hunger fully taking over and she took a rather large bite out of it, quickly chewing it and swallowing it. As her hunger sort-of died down, she realized what she just did and quickly dropped it, looking down at her hands that she put in front of herself, widening her eyes. "Oh my god." She said in barely even a whisper.

He watched with surprise as she dropped the meat. "What?" he asked, suddenly concerned. What was wrong with it? Was there something she could taste that he couldn't? "I swear I thought it was fine. She looked healthy…" he rambled, glancing at the dead body, then the meat on the ground. He stepped back. "Why don't you like it?" he asked, his voice a little pushing, but not exactly suspicious yet. Maybe she was just a picky eater, but then why would she ate like that? She didn't seem disgusted, maybe scared and surprised. Why would a ghoul act like that?

{rp}"It's not that it's just," she started, stumbling over her words, trying to find the right one, "wrong. I don't wanna have to live like this this is the exact opposite of what I wanted." She said quickly, that last part coming out in sort of a whisper, leaning back against the wall with a small "thump."

Asher's look only got more and more confused as she explained. Then, he burst with laughter. His eyes turned black, with red pupils. "Wrong? What are you, a ghoul going vegan?" he mocked. Had she had a sudden change of heart or something? "Sorry to break it to you, but you're gonna eat sometime, and you need more than one bite, honey. What did you even want in the first place?" he inquired.

{rp}"Not this! And I'm not a ghoul, no, I'm not. I'm not one of those... those monsters. I'm perfectly human." The words that she spat were bitter and impatient. She looked at him, narrowing her eyes and clenching her fists.

He frowned, confused. "Honey, you shouldn't put yourself down like that. I don't know if you've seen a mirror lately, but you're a ghoul. You just ate flesh," he growled, a little forcefully. He wasn't sure what sort of waters he was entering here; she was delusional if she thought she was human. How does that even happen to someone? How do you grow up, living your life, then think you're the exact opposite of what you are one day? Maybe since she was only half-ghoul, she might think herself more human (and she was) but she wasn't completely human!

{rp}"No duh, I sorta realized that by now." She said, an annoyed tone clear in her voice. This wasn't supposed to happen. She couldn't live life like this, being one of the... things she hates the most.

"Then why are you freaking out?" he retorted. If she knew she was a ghoul, what was this deal about? Why'd she call him (and ghouls in general) "monsters"? "I don't know what your problem is, but you better explain quickly before I tell you to scram." Yeah. Maybe the curiousity and intrigue factor had kinda worn off. Now he was slightly pissed and getting tired of this. He wanted to head home, but he wasn't going to just leave. He felt like he needed to sort out her deal.

{ooc}yeah, true. but still ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
{rp}"I'm freaking out because I wasn't like this before! I was just a normal person, trying to live my life and then a ghoul attacked me, and I don't remember much after that." She said, her voice raised slightly and her arms now crossed. She didn't really want to tell the ghoul the whole story, because that most definitely would get her killed.

That was about the strangest story he'd heard in a while… "So you… you weren't a ghoul? One attacked you, and now you are a ghoul?" he repeated. That seemed like an entirely crazy and fake story. You couldn't just… become a ghoul, right? It didn't make sense. "Maybe you just need sleep, honey," he added. He hesitated for a moment, considering that when he'd found her, she'd been curled up on the ground. "Do you… need a place to stay?" he asked carefully, though he still sounded angry, most of him was just confused and tired now.

{rp}"I'm telling the truth." She complained, before crossing her arms and thinking for a moment about his question. "Yeah.." She said, sort of trailing off at the end of it. It's not like she didn't have a home, she did, but it's because she had a roommate, and she'd really prefer not being bombarded with questions at that particular moment in time.
