Damocles looked at Auroras for a couple seconds until he finally walked towards her and started to sniff the women's palm. After doing this for a few seconds he backed away and said," It is nice to meet you miss." Aurora slowly withdrew her hand and smiled, "Likewise." Catori watched the others without saying anything. |

Alfonse stopped, and turned to stare back at the edge of the clearing. It was almost as if the creatures couldn't come across, he thought with a frown. He tilted his head for a moment, and then, it suddenly dawned on him. The reason why the,manticore couldn't come into the clearing, the reason why he wasn't harmed by Pandora, and now, the reason why the fairy creatures couldn't attack. "It's the castle!" His eyes wide, he stared back at Peter in amazement.

Kiba smiled at the sight and then walked over to Catori and said," Thank you for watching him while I was gone Catori."
Damocles looked at Aurora and said," I am sorry if I bothered you you probably had much better things to do then come meet me."

Peter tore his gaze away from the flurry of angry little creatures and tilted his head at Alfonse, "Huh?"
Catori wagged her tail once in response to Kiba's thanks.
Aurora shook her head with a slight frown, "No, you didn't bother me."

Damocles lowered his head and tried to think of what to say because he did want to make Aurora mad like he did his and Kiba's creator. Kiba sighed and called out," Damocles just doesn't want you to get mad and hurt him like are creator used to."

"The reason that creatures or people aren't permitted to harm others inside the clearing or castle." Alfonse approached the edge of the clearing, just out of reach of the swarm of fairies. "Something about the castle must prevent it."

Aurora's eyebrows knit together in a deeper frown. She glanced back at Damocles, "Oh... No, I would never do that. This is a safe haven. You have nothing to worry about here."
Peter tapped his chin thoughtfully, "You know, I was actually thinking the same thing. I just can't seem to figure out how that might work. Aurora might know though. You wanna go find and ask her?"

Damocles looked at Aurora and asked," What is a haven and does it hurt." Kiba just sighed and bit the end of Damocles's tail causing him to yip in pain. Once Kiba spit out Damocles's tail he said," Trust me he was about to get all scared again and when he is like that it is hard to get him to stop."

Pandora continued to follow her from a distance, arms crossed. (I don't really know what to do from here... The only characters I have that might know how to help are frozen or otherwise tied up. :/ ) "Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost."  I don't know either

Aurora gave a slightly disapproving look when Kiba bit Damocles' tail, and turned to answer his question, "No, a haven does not hurt. It's... well, a safe place. Somewhere that you can live in peace without fear of anyone harming you."
(I'm trying to think of a way that Pandora might be able to help that isn't too OOC for her... If I can't come up with anything, you wanna just say that Aurora bandaged Bell's hand during the time skip? Afterwards, I'll have an extra character freed up to help with things like this in the future.)

Aurora nodded and turned to Kiba with a frown, "That's right. You cannot be biting his tail. That isn't nice." Though she was still frowning, it didn't reach her eyes. She understood Kiba's intentions, but didn't want anything upsetting the newcomer more than he already was.
(Actually... I just got an idea.)
Peter looked around the clearing, "I... think I see her over by the garden. There aren't too many people around here with hair that light." Suddenly, he remembered the frail little sprite in his hands, "Oh, I almost forgot!" He peered inside his hands carefully. The sprite was still alive, but unconscious, "I'm gonna go see if there's anything in the infirmary that can help with this—" He motioned to his hands, "Why don't you go ask Aurora about the shield." Without waiting for a response, Peter turned and strode away.
(So... Now Peter can help with Bell. After he does that, and Alfonse tells Aurora about the shield — something crucial to my next plot — I'll initiate the skip.)

Kiba lowered his head and said," Fine but I leave it to you too calm him down when he goes into panic mode." Kiba then nudged Damocles closer and said," Now I suggest you two exchange names and I would also suggest that you start miss so the puppy fells a bit calmer." Damocles lowered his head and said," I am not a puppy."

(I was about to post, and started getting the angry bear technical issues message. Anybody else having problems?)
Aurora knelt down and calmly introduced herself to Damocles, trying not to do anything that might frighten him. A minute later, she heard the sound of approaching footsteps and glanced over, spotting Alfonse on his way over. She gave a curt nod to show that she'd noticed.
Peter quickly ambled into the castle, headed straight for the infirmary. He doubted there was much he could do for the little creature — sprite? fairy? — but he wasn't one to give up for lack of trying. On the way there, he passed by Bell and Pandora, at which point Pandora stuck out her foot and tried to trip him. Peter all but managed to keep from falling on his face or squashing the sprite in his hands.

Both Chimeras looked at Alfonse and Kiba said," Well it looks like we are being ignored by this new person." Damocles lowered his head and asked," Is he going to hurt us Kiba?" Kiba rolled his eyes and said," No he is not and to prove it." Kiba then git behind Damocles and pushed him in the middle of Alfonse and Aurora.

Aurora blinked dumbly, "No... I am not. How does that work?" She had a growing suspicion that she might know something about it, but the memory was so vague that she couldn't be completely sure. As Damocles was pushed closer, she unconsciously reached down to pet him gently.

Alfonse shot a halfhearted smile down at the chimera, and turned his gaze back to Aurora. "I'm not quite certain. I've observed that people, or other creatures, can't be harmed in the clearing, or castle. Three times now, to be exact."

Damocles was shocked at first but as she pet him he started to like it and rubbed her hand as she pet him. Kiba smiled and said," Well my job is done." Kiba then walked over to Catori and asked," Hey Catori want to go on a hunt with me?"

Aurora continued petting Damocles, scratching him behind the ears, "Interesting..." She glanced back at Kiba, "I'm aware that no one can be deliberately harmed inside the castle, but I'm fairly certain that rule doesn't apply outdoors... He—" She motioned to Kiba, "bit his tail earlier." She motioned to Damocles.
This time, it was Catori's turn to feel tired and she yawned dramatically. However, she had never passed on an opportunity to hunt, and wouldn't for as long as the weather permitted it. She rose to her feet, stretched and gave a confirming grin to Kiba's question.

Kiba smiled and then started to run off into the woods. When Damocles heard Kiba run of towards the woods he started to whine because he thought Kiba was leaving and not coming back.

Catori darted off after Kiba, following behind him.
"He'll be back." Aurora said reassuringly to Damocles. To Alfonse, she replied, "No, I don't. I do know that much of the castle cannot be damaged, but I don't understand how. It is very old and mysterious. I'm not even sure if anyone remembers who built it, or for what purpose."
