Ferra's mind wandered to the castle. She recalled Aurora saying that the castle was open to refugees, and sensed that even if the young chimera was somehow deceiving her, the castle's magic would prevent him from entering, or at the very least, prevent him from bringing harm to any of its residents. She felt a sense of sincerity radiating off the creature, though, and hadn't a doubt in her mind about his intentions. "I suppose that depends upon your own desires, although I do know of a place where you would be safe, and likely welcome."

Kiba closed his eyes and began to think of Ferra's proposal. After a few minutes of thinking Kiba opened his eyes and said," Okay I wish to see this safe heaven that you speak of." Kiba then stood up and asked," Do you mind showing me the way to this place?"

(Neh, not really. Pandora got hugged, and it was pretty funny.)
Aurora mumbled something under her breath and tentatively took a bite of her apple, "It's probably a good thing my father doesn't come here anymore. I think he probably hated vampires. He wasn't very nice." She pondered outloud.

Kiba followed Ferra closely making sure not to get to far behind her. As Kiba was walking he asked," So tell me about yourself Ferra I can only tell a few things from looking at your aura."

Lastly, Peter presented what appeared to be a small black and blue microchip and explained its function. It produced a small electric spark, and when applied to your tongue (not directly, just the spark), made everything you eat for the next 24 hours taste absolutely wonderful. Peter also mentioned the tiny chip that most of his people had implanted in the part of their brain responsible for recognizing speech. Essentially, it allowed all speech to be clearly communicated and understood by its user, no matter the language. At that moment, IT entered the room and padded up to Alfonse. It resembled a quadrapedal human with four arms and no legs, and was completely bald everywhere and wore no clothes. The hideous creature raised its wrinkled head up at Alfonse and grinned, revealing bare pink gums with no teeth.Alfonse screeched and transformed into Alfonse mouth again. The tongue clicked in disapproval, and the mouth began to float away.Alfonse nodded calmly. He wondered how long the development of this technology took, but asked no questions for the time. "Essentially, this enhances one's sense of taste, then." He murmured, after Peter had finished speaking. The older boy was absolutely enthralled with the amount of technology and advancements Peter's people seemed to use almost casually. |

Ferra gave a smile. "Well, what would you like to know?" she asked the question almost happily. It was very nice to find another creature who could also read auras, even if Kiba's ability differed from her own.

Peter nodded, "Yeah, sometimes I use it for Aurora's cooking." He said with a cheeky grin, "I wish that it were possible for you to visit Arcania. You'd no doubt love it there. But even if it weren't in serious upheaval right now, it's really far away, and you're too heavy to carry that kind of distance." He said, unintentionally hinting that he'd been the one to carry Alfonse to the castle in the first place, right after he'd fainted upon seeing Sasha.

"well I want to know what are you and where did you come from?" Kiba was very curious because for all he knew everyone was made the same way he was though the use of alchemy. Kiba then walked right next to Ferra and said," To better understand what I mean I was made by an alchemist ten odd years ago and I am what is known as a chimera."

(Hi gamergirl! Aurora and Lani are currently in the kitchen. I've also got a wolf character in the garden.)
(I have a feeling Catori will like Kiba.)
Pandora was holed up asleep somewhere in the castle. She didn't require as much sleep as a human, but slept very soundly whenever she did rest.
Catori lay sprawled out in the garden, idly chewing on one of the purple apples that had fallen to the ground.

(I'm at work and am almost off!)
Bell decides to see the rest of the outside before heading inside for food. She quickly comes up to the garden and gasps because she has never seen a garden that was still alive... Not even at the queen's castle. And now isn't paying attention to where she is stepping.

Alfonse ignored the hint Peter threw at him, and turned his gaze towards the window. "Yes, well..." He wondered about the civilization. "Perhaps if you and I can find a way to travel there..." The scientist was already hatching a plan in his mind. He knew that it would likely be more difficult than simply taking a boat, but also that even if he were to discover a way to travel there, the current state of the government likely meant that their borders were heavily guarded. Even so...
"I was raised in a tribe to the north," Ferra stated, "by my grandmother. My parents abandoned me there. I left recently to search for the two of them, but so far, no luck." She held back a bit of foliage, and motioned for Kiba to continue onwards. The clearing lay just ahead.

(*has an idea*  ) Catori continued absentmindedly chewing the fruit. One ear twitched as she heard Bell enter the garden, but the wolf didn't look up. Then suddenly, Catori let out a pained yelp as her fluffy tail was stepped on. |

Peter looked really uneasy by Alfonse's remark, "Yeah, too bad we can't." Thank goodness we can't... He missed his home, but well knew the ramifications of going back. His brother had warned him what would happen if he stayed. He just hoped his brother was doing alright...

Catori rolled away from Bell and quickly rose to her feet. Her black lips drew back over her teeth, and a deep growl arose from her throat as she glared at Bell. The wolf's tail still stung from being stepped on, and her hackles were all raised.

Catori ceased growling and closed her maw, but her hackles remained slightly up. One ear swiveled backwards and the wolf gazed at Bell warily, still somewhat distrustful of her.

Alfonse noticed Peter's uneasiness, but didn't sympathize with the boy. He felt strongly that travelling to Arcania would answer many of the questions he harbored concerning this new world. Alfonse's arrogance and selfishness concerning scientific endeavors could hardly be matched by even the most vain beings, whether from Earth or otherwise, and the scientist's mind seemed-- quite frankly-- to be set.
"Well, sort of." Ferra felt a twinge of sadness for the creature. He had never known what having a family was like, then... She cleared her throat as she followed him into the clearing. "A parent is supposed to be a person's caregiver. They're usually kind, and they try to teach us right from wrong. My grandmother, who was my female parent's-- they're called a mother-- parent, raised me as her child. I guess you didn't have much of a family, huh?" She turned towards the creature, and again felt a twinge of sadness. Being so attuned to the emotions and situations that others experience had few benefits, and Ferra was beginning to understand the misery of it all more and more, as she encountered these beautiful souls, gravitating towards a common safe zone. They're all so lost... she thought to herself. So lost...

Kiba shock his head and said," No I did not have this family thing you speak of. The only person you could call that was my creator and he only made me so he can prove his power in alchemy." Kiba then began to dig into the ground with his claws out of sheer anger. Kiba loathed his creator for the sheer fact he never once cared for Kiba so hearing about people who did care for, and raise, other made Kiba angry.

Peter tucked away all of his gadgets back into his satchel, then carefully placed it back on the bookshelf. After returning the books in front of it, he turned to Alfonse, "Well, I guess I'll go back to what I was doing. I figure, learning to stay up on the ceiling may turn out to be advantageous one day. The longest I was able to stay up there was... mmm... about 35 minutes. I'm trying to beat that record." And with that, the boy returned to his previous position on the ceiling.
Aurora appreciated Lani using a different term this time, "I don't understand why so many species dislike each other so much. Elves and werewolves are the worst about it. They completely hate each other, but no one really remembers why." She frowned.
