“I suppose that would make sense… I wonder sometimes if she uses magic in her cooking.” Aurora paused, and couldn’t help the smile. “That probably sounds crazy,” She quickly ammended, “Can anyone learn magic?” It would be a useful skill, to be able to heal those that needed it; especially with how dangerous the place was getting. What if someone was hurt, and Claudia wasn’t around to help?
“Oh… So, like visions? My mom has those sometimes. It’s how I got my name, which isn’t Arcanian. She had a dream about a boy named Peter. She liked the name so much that she used it for me.” Peter recalled his dad’s unease about his mother’s dreams, but she’d been thoroughly checked for mutant status and passed.

Asher chuckled, "My name isn't normal either. A fairies name usually correlates with their talent. And Queen Clarion usually knows your name when you arrive." She explained figuring that there really wasn't a point to keeping much secret now. |

Aurora started to nod, when something dawned on her. “You know Claudia?” She supposed it wasn’t so much of a stretch, if they both were familiar with magic.
“How did you get your name?” Peter queried. He was brimming with questions now, as evidenced in his eyes, but he didn’t want to freak her out. If his suspicions were correct, he’d have to breach the topic very carefully.
Dragon Girl stamped her foot. Gosh darnit, I am tired of standing here waiting for a response. It’s freaking three ninety one! Trickster man should be ready now, me thinks. With a chuckle and a smirk, the ghost girl poofed back in front of Loki, who was still frozen in place. “Pinch, poke, you owe me a coke.” As she spoke these things, she literally pinched and poked him.
An instant later, Loki could move again. Before he could react to the cloaked girl, she winked and vanished. Memories came rushing back. Morgan. The banshee scream. He immediately tore off in the direction of the forest, hoping he wasn’t already too late.
The hunter picked Raja up by the front of his shirt and brought him up to eye level, leaving his feet dangling above the ground. “You are weak and pathetic. Just like him.” He spat.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Corynn just nodded but didn't explain how she knew Claudia. If anything she could always say the multiverse theory.
Asher looked up and almost seemed sad, "Tink actually chose my name after I explained seeing something burning and the ash falling around what looked like a grave." She said softly.
Raja raised and eyebrow, "Weak? No. Pathetic? Not really. Inexperienced?Definitely." He said almost ina a sassy way that would have made his mother laugh.
Morgan was now completely panicking and wondered if it would be a good idea to get into the guy's head. Or maybe she could just kick the guy like Pan had taught her. And she elected to go with the kicking. "Hey! Pea brain! How about you actually deal with a real descendant of Loki!" She yelled and jumped slightly when a rock appeared in her hand, but she didn't let it go to waste, instead she threw it at the back of the hunters head. |

(I'm not really sure what else to do with Aurora, so I'm gonna put her on pause while the scene with Loki, Raja and Morgan continues)
"Oh... A grave? Whose?" Peter asked. He had a name of a place in mind, and wanted to ask Asher if it was the same name of her home, but that could wait. Something about the grave made him very curious, if only because it bothered him.
There was a small thwack as the rock connected with the back of the hunter's helmet. "Hmm." Skul's eyes darkened and a smile formed, but the gesture was evil in nature. Maintaining his grip on Raja, he turned to look over his shoulder. "Odin never specified whether or not he wanted you back alive. Or in one piece..." His words were spoken in a deliberately cruel, and chilling way.
It didn't take Loki long to realize he couldn't get through the forest so quickly; not without making a lot of noise. He shapeshifted into a fox and continued on, covering ground much faster than before. His sensitive ears tuned in on the sounds of voices. One in particular made his blood run cold and he couldn't stop the growl. The trickster, still in the animal guise, circled around and came up behind the group. Loki waited until Skul's back was turned to him before transitioning back into his humanoid, adult form. As his eyes focused in on Raja's injuries, a dozen emotions went through his eyes, settling on white-hot anger. He brought a finger to his lips, signaling for Morgan and Raja to keep quiet about his presence.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Morgan rolled her eyes. "You'd be doing him a favour if you ended my life." She said before shrugging, "To bad I don't make things that easy." She added and managed to find a rock to throw at Skul again. She hadn't even noticed Loki yet and was not ready to answer any questions about the comment that she had just made.
Raja on the other hand noticed Loki right away and quickly looked away to avoid letting Loki know the pain he was in. But an idea came to mind to aid in Morgan distracting Skul. Though he had never tried this idea before. |

Skul hardly reacted to the second thrown rock. "Pathetic." He croaked out with another dry chuckle.
As Loki brought his foot down, a twig snapped and he froze. He immediately rendered himself invisible to Skul, who glanced over his shoulder to see nothing there. By some incredible stroke of luck, he suspected nothing and refocused his attention on Morgan and Raja. That was his first mistake. His second was in letting go of Raja, albeit very roughly. Loki was fuming. He wanted nothing more than to tear Skul limb from limb. If he succeeded in getting Morgan and Raja to safety, he'd make sure Skul's days of hunting came to an end.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." "Eh, I don't like throwing anyways. I prefer haunting more." Morgan said with a chuckle. She sighed slightly when Raja was released before narrowing her eyes and Skul, "Now how about a real fight." She said softly even though she wasn't any better at fighting then Raja was.
Raja ended up falling when he was released as he hadn't been expecting that. At this point he would be running but with Morgan still in danger he couldn't bring himself to leave so instead he forced himself to stand back up and wondered if he could bring a fire ball from a different time period and have it hit Skul.
Runa walked out of the potions room
and paused in the doorway for Sabrina to climb up onto her shoulder. She wondered what Raja and Loki were up to and started searching for them telepathically. |

Sabrina obliged and climbed up Runa's arm, perching on her shoulder once she'd reached it.
As Skul relinquished his grip on Raja, Loki made his move. He used his magic to conjure a fake swarm of flies and gnats that surrounded Skul's head, entering into his ears and biting every exposed area of skin. It wouldn't stop him, but it would distract him long enough for the trickster's next step. Loki rushed forward and seized Morgan and Raja gently by the wrists, then started to run back to the castle with them both in tow.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Morgan was in complete shock when she started getting dragged along by Loki. Thankfully she didn't become intangible because of the shock.
Raja didn't really understand Loki's actions but was thankful for him showing up. What he wished he didn't have to do was run. That hurt more than getting punched did. But as he thought about it, Morgan was unharmed which was what mattered to him and caused him to actually smile slightly through the pain.
Runa frowned and wondered why she wasn't picking up on anyone's thoughts. Slowly, she reached farther out then she normally would and found Loki's mind first. |

Loki was quickly reminded how obstructive the forest’s undergrowth was. He repositioned himself in front of Morgan and Raja, in a ‘v’ shaped formation, so that he himself would take the brunt of the branches, thorns and other potentially painful obstacles that lay in their path. He moved as quickly as he dared, not wanting to exhaust the two or cause Raja any further pain. If he’d been thinking clearly, he might have turned the two of them into something small, then carried them to the castle as a bird. Then again… there wasn’t much time. He could hear Skul chasing after them. At some point, he could feel someone reaching out to him telepathically, but he wasn’t sure who it was or what to make of it. Morgan was normally the one to do that, and she was there with him. His present fear and panic weighed heavily on his mind. They were less than a mile from the castle but the forest seemed to stretch on for an eternity.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Morgan glanced towards Raja and frowned. He was hurt because of her choices. But what could she do, it wasn't like she had some sort of hidden abilities.
Raja decided to just worry about staying on his feet since the running was taking a lot if his energy.
Runa gasped as she picked up on Loki's thoughts. "Let's go help my dad." She muttered to Sabrina before walking towards the front door. She started debating on whether she should summon her armour or not.
"I-I'm not sure whose grave. But I'm sure I'll find out." Asher answered softly. |

At last, Loki could see the sunlight streaming through the last bit of foliage, like a velvet green curtain. The hunter's footsteps echoed from behind them, uncomfortably close. With a shout, Loki came to an abrupt halt and shoved Morgan and Raja into the clearing, at some point loosing his footing and falling alongside them, panting.
Sabrina warbled in response, though it was unclear whether or not they were in agreement. They still weren't familiar with the other people and animals.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Raja ended up faceplanting the ground but he quickly got up and wiped his face before turning around to watch the hunter. Part of his mind was trying to see where all of his injuries were and it slowly dawned on him that as some point his shirt got ripped and was exposing some of his old scars.
Morgan on the other hand kept from falling by floating in her ghostly way. But she ended up staring at Raja as she noticed the scars, which caused her to flinch because she probably just added to them.
Eventually Runa was outside the castle and was looking around for Loki and Raja. "I swear if my brother is hurt..." She started muttering and prepared to summon her armour, which would show that she is a valkyrie but if someone harmed her brother or even her father, she would have no problem hurting the perpetrator. |

At some point in the midst of his panic, Loki took notice of the old scars that marred Raja's body, now visible through the rips in his shirt. That, coupled with the fresh damage left from Skul, was enough to turn Loki's hands to fists. He tore his eyes away when he heard Skul approaching.
The hunter had slowed to a calm, deliberate walk. He was entirely confident that his quarry was cornered. One of them were injured, and he knew that the trickster would be unwilling to cause any further pain or damage in forcing the lad to flee beyond the castle. As the Asgardian bounty hunter neared the edge of the magical barrier, he paused to assess the feeling of power that was radiating from it, like an immense heat. Odin failed to mention anything of the sort. Ah, but no matter. His armor, partly forged in Asgard and newly enhanced with technology from Moran, was more than enough to penetrate any shield, whether magic-based or otherwise. He pressed a button on his suit and there was a momentary, high-pitched whine as something activated within his suit. Wearing a sickening grin, Skul extended his arm toward the barrier. His hand went straight through, much to Loki's horror.
(It would be great if the barrier suddenly got strengthened right at that moment, with his hand still through it. *wink*)
Sabrina rose up on their hind paws to glance around the clearing. As they spotted a group of three people near the far edge, Sabrina gave a little bounce and tried to point toward them. A small trill-like sound was uttered to further get Runa's attention.
(Just caught the post edit)
Peter fell silent, his expression thoughtful. He suddenly remembered Adonis and started back the way he'd came. Hopefully, the kitten was safe in the care of that weird girl. "Um..." He hesitated and lightly bit his thumb nail, "Your home wouldn't happen to be called something like... Never-land, would it?" Almost immediately after asking the question, he felt foolish. It was just a animated children's movie from Earth.

Coincidentally Clip was having an argument with the barrier on the other side of the castle. "Look the fact that you let people through is one thing, but that means you aren't impenetrable! A strong enough force, or just someone who seems good at the moment could just wander in and start killing people!" He grabbed his necklace with one hand, and pressed the other against the barrier, which was always solid for him even though his heart wasn't dark... currently. "Look just try it like this." He released some magic into the barrier, essentially putting it in lockdown. "Like this no one could get in, we could have a proper screening before letting random stranger through!" He continued to yell at the barrier.

Morgan didn't really move but she was really annoyed now because of how close they were to the Castle. She had a promise to keep and she planned on doing so in every way possible.
Runa blinked and looked at Sabrina before following where she was pointing. "Welp, I guess it's armour time." She muttered before muttering two words under her breath which caused her armour to start to appearing and while that was happening she started her way towards her family.
Asher looked towards Peter in equal measure of shock and curiosity. "That's the name of the whole island. My home is called Pixie Hollow." She finally answered before looking up again. |

Skul pushed his arm through the barrier. He was mere seconds from stepping across, when the barrier unexpectedly intensified in power -- severing Skul's right arm at the elbow. The hunter howled with pain and shock and took several quick steps back. His steely gray eyes stared at the gruesome, disembodied apendage that lay on the other side of the magical shield. Burning hatred entered his eyes as he switched his gaze to Loki. He was sure the trickster had caused it.
Loki, however, was equally as surprised by the amputation. He glanced at the arm, then at Raja and Morgan, an eyebrow going up as he wondered what just happened. Looking back at Skul, he realized the hunter was still in a state of shock. If he didn't act soon, he'd miss his opportunity completely. 'Stay put -- both of you.' He suddenly snapped at Raja and Morgan. In a matter of seconds, he'd sidestepped a few paces away, leaped through to the outside of the barrier and goaded Skul into giving chase. An idea was coming together in his mind, and he didn't particularly want any spectators. (And also because I don't want to write what happens to Skul.)
As the armor started to appear on Runa, Sabrina darted back and forth from one shoulder to the other in anticipation.
Peter was quiet for a long moment, and it wasn't immediately clear whether he heard Asher or not. None of it made any sense to him. With a stunned nod, he silently made his way back to the smaller clearing, hesitating when he lay eyes on the Earth vehicle. If not for Adonis, he never would have considered knocking on the front door, which he did. "This should only take a second." He mumbled beneath his breath to Asher.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Raja was startled by Loki speaking in his mind but gladly accepted the command. Though when he heard Morgan squeak he turned around quickly and pushed Morgan behind him not knowing the armoured woman was his twin.
"S-she's from A-Asgard. She m-must be with the h-hunter." Morgan said in Raja's mind not being careful about who else would hear.
"Well, yes, I am from Asgard but I would never harm my brother." Runa said in response to Morgan. But her voice was eerily calm and seemed different to Raja. |

Skul forsook the severed arm on the ground and ran toward Loki, releasing a hate-filled battle cry. The hunter ripped straight through the underbrush like a bulldozer. At some point, he watched as the trickster transformed into a sleek, black wolf and increased in speed. In Skul’s fury, he failed to realize that Loki was purposefully staying within sight. As a wolf, he could have very easily lost him if he’d wanted. However, Loki was tired of running from Skul. The hunter had crossed a line when he’d raised a hand against Raja. That would never happen again. He’d be sure of it. At some point, the two ended up in a part of the forest that was more open and the black wolf turned to face Skul. He was oddly calm; a stark contrast to Skul, who stumbled forward, breathing heavily from fatigue and blood loss. The hunter raised his weapon toward the wolf. There was a scuffle, a growl, a shout of surprise… and a new chase was on.

Clip was still arguing with the barrier. "What do you mean I just severed someone's arm?! I did no such thing! You are probably just trying to trick me into putting you back to normal! Well I'm not going to get killed in the middle of this forest because a temperamental dome let a pack of wolves through the front door!" He sneered at the wall, and kicked some dirt at it, before heading in the direction of where Skul had lost his arm.

The severed arm just lay there, because it was an arm and could do nothing else. It was a nice arm, very muscular and armored with the finest metal Asgard had to offer. The armor was also equipped with technology from another planet. How exciting. Too bad it would never be reunited with its owner. That sucked. Then again, it was only an arm. It had no concept of things like that, and didn’t care, because it had no brain or emotions.
Skaldi wandered out into the clearing, taking in the situation that was transpiring near the clearing’s edge, confusion very evident.
Dragon Girl sat perched on the roof’s edge, swinging her legs and watching the chase through a pair of binoculars. “Too bad this is happening off screen.” She said with a giggle.

Clip walked along the clearing until he came to the alleged spot where he had severed someone's arm. "Oh. huh." He paused and looked down at it, before picking it up and turning it around. He pointed it at the wall accusatorily. "Look, this is your fault not mine! You could have told me someone was walking through it!" He glanced at it again, giving it a weird look. "It's even armoured! obviously you were going to let another dangerous person in. For all I know I just saved everyone's life!" He kept waving it around at the barrier.

"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Raja slowly turned to face the new voice. Confusion clearly painted on his face and still being very protective of Morgan.
Morgan was still weary of Runa just because of how Runa very much looked like something she wouldn't want to have come after her. Especially because of valkyries being more Odin's thing and not her mother's. She decided that she'd had enough scares for the day and attempted to read Runa's mind. And send a small thought to Loki about a valkyrie being at the castle.
Runa calmly walked over to stand beside her bother. "Your arguing with the enchantment?" She said with an unintentional questioning tone. |

As the thought reached Loki, he ended the chase. An animal’s pained cry sounded through the forest then suddenly cut off. A few birds scattered from amongst the trees. Satisfied, Loki started back to the castle with darkened eyes. It had been a while since he’d killed anything… anyone. He’d forgotten what that felt like.

Clip turned to look at the others, noticing them for the first time. He pointed at them with the severed arm. "Does this belong to one of you? Probably not, unless one of you had three arms... Also yes, I was arguing with this defective dome. It thinks that just because it's been here for so long, that it knows everything!" He turned back and yelled at the barrier.

"No I don't feel so crazy when I talk to the Castle." Morgan muttered before realizing that she need to check on the Castle since its nearly been a day since she had talked to it. "Did anything happen while I was gone?" she asked the Castle.
Runa walked up to the enchantment before extending her hand to it. After a moment she nodded. "I see what you mean." She said.
Asher frowned, "Is everything OK?" She asked carefully wondering if something she had said upset Peter. |

(I’m gonna wait a few posts before bringing Loki back, since I’m still trying to drag things out for page 400)
The furry, vaguely ermine-like creature on Runa’s shoulder extended its body toward Raja and Morgan, sniffing. The scents were both similar to Runa, and Sabrina responded with a small chirp of inquiry.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. Everything’s fine.” Peter said quickly. He knocked again and paused as he heard movement on the other side of the door. Window blinds briefly parted and there was an excited noise made from within. Peter gulped. The door slowly cracked open and the boy took a couple of steps back.
“Back for Adonis?”
Peter nodded, then stopped. He never even told her his cat’s name… “Uh… Is he alright?”
“Of course! Wanna come in?”
Peter glanced over at Asher. It was clear that he wanted to get his kitten and leave, sooner rather than later.

Morgan looked at Runa confused, like how did she understand that weird creature.
Raja again just didn't question anything and shivered slightly when a breeze started to kick up which brought to his attention the rips in his shirt. At which point he emotions became slightly guarded and he tried to pretend that nothing was wrong with his shirt.
Asher glanced at Hananah and blinked feeling a strange sense of recognition. |

Hannah seemed to take the hint, fortunately. “I mean, you don’t have to…” She shrugged, “I just figured you could stay here until the Asgardian hunter is dealt with. I doubt he’d bother either of you, but you never know… Especially with your eye color.” She frowned at Peter.
Peter wasn’t sure what she meant by ‘Asgardian hunter’, or what his green eyes had to do with anything. “I’m sure we’ll be fine. Can I have my cat please?” He was trying to be polite, but he was obviously uncomfortable.
“Yeah, hang on…” Hannah disappeared inside for a moment. “Nova, stop. I don’t think he wants to play with you.” She appeared at the door a few seconds later with the lynx-like cub in her arms.
“He’s not normally that calm with strangers…” Peter mumbled as he took Adonis back, “Thanks for watching out for him.”
“No problem. You’re all welcome here any time.” Hannah bit back several statements that she was sorely tempted to make. It was great knowing the things she did, but she didn’t want to freak Peter out any more than she had. She wanted to befriend him.
