Ferra looked upward as she heard Catori's noises. She gave a small smile, and called out to the wolf, patting the ground beside her.

Catori continued rolling a few more times, stood and shook out her fur. With a huge grin on her face, she ambled over towards Ferra. As she spotted Aurora coming out of the castle, however, the wolf stopped suddenly. Wagging her tail, she looked to and fro between the two girls.
Aurora stopped just inside the door, frowning, "What is it, Catori?" She didn't realize someone was sitting just outside of her view.

Upon hearing the other girl's voice, Ferra quickly got to her feet, and cleared her throat. "Hello," she waved shyly at Aurora.

(hi DL!)
Aurora was startled and hopped backwards, having not seen anyone there. She recovered quickly and stepped out of the doorway, "Oh... Hello." As she got a better view of the stranger, Aurora frowned. Why did she look so much like her? Her hair was slightly different, whiter and shorter, but she couldn't deny the uncanny similarities. For some reason, it made her uncomfortable.
Catori plopped down in the grass, studying the two of them intently, almost knowingly.

"I'm very sorry for trespassing." The girl apologized, giving the wolf a glance. "The wolf seemed to trust me... I'm just travelling, is all. I was really tired, and hungry, and when I saw her," she nodded at Catori, "I followed her to see if she might lead me out of the forest."

Aurora cast a questionable glance at Catori, "She doesn't normally take to anyone so easily... But I trust her judgement. We've got adequate food here, and rooms also. You can stay for as long as you want." Her stomach growled and she gave a sheepish look, "Speaking of food... I was just on my way to the garden."

"I could come along to help if you want. It's the least I can do... I sort of showed myself to a room last night, but I haven't eaten anything." Ferra smiled sheepishly. She had also noticed the uncanny similarities between herself and Aurora, and was curious. If she were to hang around Aurora for very long, she wondered, would the other girl's aura betray anything about her?
Alfonse wandered through the forest, mumbling nonsense to himself.

Aurora smiled, "Sure, that would be nice. And don't worry about the room. You're welcome to stay in any room you want - except for the one on the highest level. That one's already claimed." She led the way to the garden, and Catori followed.
(You can RP with Peter if you want to, Deathy. He's up in the library.)
About a mile from the castle, nestled at the base of a tree, slept a frail-looking little girl. Her black hair was full of leaves and various other forest debris. It appeared as though she'd been traveling for a while and had simply fallen asleep from exhaustion.

"My name is Ferra, by the way." Ferra walked alongside Aurora, her eyes on Catori. "I'm trying to find my family. My father... um... well, he's an elf. So I'm searching for the elvish kingdom."

Aurora introduced herself, but upon hearing the latter part of Ferra's words, she suddenly halted with an expression of surprise, "Your father is an elf?" She turned and tried to get a glimpse of the other girl's ears.

As Alfonse travelled, he noticed out of the corner of his eye, the unconscious girl. He halted suddenly. Was this another normal, yet odd occurrence for this world? He somehow thought not, and wandered over to the girl. Although Alfonse was mostly logical, he still felt human emotion, and was, quite obviously, intelligent enough to know right from wrong. The young girl seemed frail, which worried the scientist; she was only a mere child. He knelt in front of her, and placed two fingers on the side of her throat, searching for a pulse. Upon finding none, his blood ran cold. "Oh, my..." He lifted the girl surprisingly easily; leaving her corpse to be devoured by scavengers was somewhat immoral. He wondered if Aurora would have an idea of what to do with her. He held her gently against his chest, and began to make his way back to the castle.

Ferra noticed Aurora's attempt to see her ears, and tucked her hair behind one so the other girl could easily see them. At Aurora's question, she nodded. "Yes... my mother isn't, though. Or, wasn't. I'm not really sure if she's still alive." She gave a sad smile, sensing that Aurora was trustworthy enough for her to confide her heritage to.

Aurora's mouth unconsciously gaped open at the girl. She searched for words, but her mind was drawing a total blank. But if Ferra were to look closely, Aurora's hair was not yet plated together the way she wore it, and her own ears were peeking through...
If Catori were more human, she would have been snickering at this point.
The girl appeared totally lifeless. No heartbeat, and no breath. Her skin was cool to the touch.

Ferra noticed the other girl's expression almost instantaneously. She halted, and glanced at Aurora's ears. "Are you... half elf as well?" She inquired, almost shyly.
Alfonse was exceedingly careful with the girl. At this point, he was almost ready to return home. This world was much too stressful for him; first, dragons, then werewolves and dead children. What next? Would the dead child he was carrying suddenly return to life? At this point, he didn't doubt it.

Aurora was still speechless, but managed to nod slowly. She just hoped Ferra wouldn't ask about her other parent.
The living dead girl remained sound asleep in his arms.

Alfonse crossed into the castle's clearing. He set the girl down just inside the clearing, and went to find Aurora. Maybe she would know what to do.
"Do you have any contact with the elves?" Ferra asked hopefully.

As the magical barrier passed over them, the girl was subtly roused from her sleep. After being set down, she swiftly reached out and grabbed at the ankle of the person that set her down.
Aurora's expression turned from that of shock, to solemnity, "No, not really." There was one elf that came by from time to time to replenish the castle's supplies, but he and Aurora hardly spoke and it had been months since she'd last seen him.

(Aurora, Catori and my new charrie are gonna be frozen until Qtip gets back tomorrow, but anyone is still welcome to RP with Peter. In the meantime, I'll be lurking. I've got the house all to myself tonight, and I've had too much Red Bull to go to sleep just yet.)

Misty Falls peeked around a corner, not seeing anyone. Just as well too, she'd probably scare the out of their skin.

Alfonse, having not expected any sort of response from the girl, let out a startled yelp as he toppled over. He reacted somewhat quickly, easily freeing his ankle from the grasp of his antagonist before rolling out of reach. He gaped at the now-conscious, previously-dead child in front of him, and couldn't help but remember an old. obscure horror movie which the scene seemed to replicate. A single, startled word flew out of his mouth, as he pointed a bony finger at the girl. "Y-you!"
Ferra's rather hopeful expression fell, and she looked away from the other girl for a split second, before returning her gaze to Aurora's. "So, then, you wouldn't, maybe know of a way to find them?" She gave another hopeful smile, and sincerely hoped she wouldn't offend her acquaintance; as far as Ferra was aware, half-elves weren't accepted at all among the mythical "snobs", as her grandmother had affectionately referred to them, and some, she had been told, despised their elvish heritage for that very reason.

(Welcome to our dysfunctional, sometimes-mentally-unstable/insane family, Hawkpaw! I'm Qtip, but you can call me whatever you like. It's awesome to have a ghost character here now, lol. I'll try to free up one of my two characters soon to RP with you, but Moon will probably be asleep for a good while now, so maybe I'll just introduce another.)

(Welcome to Outcasts, Hawkpaw! My character - Peter - is free for you the roleplay with. He's in the castle library, reading. It would be a great opportunity for him to encounter a ghost... muahahaha)
The girl sat up and stared at Alfonse with wide, innocent purple eyes, "Me?" She appeared no different from before, with the exception of now being conscious.
Aurora sighed, "All I know is that they live in the far North. My mother wouldn't tell me anything more." She paused to consider something, "There is one elf that ventures here twice a year, but only to replenish some of the castle's supplies. We don't really talk much, and I haven't seen him in a while." She gave a half shrug. It didn't matter to her personally. She had no intentions of ever leaving the castle, and certainly wasn't planning to ever go looking for any elves.

Peter remained seated in the library. He'd finally finished reading up on werewolves, "Hmm... I wonder what else is in this book." He flipped through a few pages and came across a section on ghosts.
