Jason, while trying to avoid looking at Kestrel lest he go and get a wet towel to wipe her face, couldn't help but look over to Loki's deck of cards as well when the conversation shifted to that. As his interest was piqued his ears perked up just a little bit, the white tips standing at attention. "Well glad to hear that, I'd hate to have my fur singed from you pulling the wrong card." He cracked a little bit of a sly smirk, wondering how his teammate would react to his deck being shuffled without his knowing. Could be a harmless little prank, but he'd wait until he knew Loki better for that. "Guess as team leader I should probably know how everybody fights, huh? Strengths and weaknesses? Can deal with that when we get outta here." He stopped tugging at his scarf, folding his arms across his chest.
Kieran sighed heavily as well. There wasn't the characteristic sound to tell by, but the way his shoulders drooped and his posture loosened it was easy to tell. "COVER YOUR EARS" The color shifted to a dark gray that just barely differed from the black of his visor. It'd be difficult for Leuco to read, nigh impossible for anyone not right next to him. For a brief moment his music shut off, soon replaced with a high pitched whine. Kieran's electric blue aura glowed faintly around him, the whine picking up intensity. There was one ear-splitting moment where it overtook every other sound, shutting off just as quickly as it had reached the volume. Across the street the two burly men were now clutching their ears and reeling, likely suffering from a perforated eardrum or something of that nature. Kieran had made sure to use his semblance so as to focus the sound their way (making it even louder than it had been to the dog next to him) and not Leuco's, not wanting his partner to suffer the same fate. Still, the sound had to have been unpleasant. "PROBLEM SOLVED"
Haze turned around fully now to face Isis, her hands clenched in fists to her sides. She was only just restraining herself from jumping Isis, her weight on the balls of her feet and every single muscle tensed in preparation for a fight. Seeing as how she was decked out in heavy metal armor, Isis was at a bit of a disadvantage should Haze lose control. "Your attitude is almost as disgusting as those feathered things on your back." She exhaled, her whole chest heaving as she let out breath that had been held in for far too long. "Everything here that's un-disciplined. Everything here that's weak. Everything here that's flashy, that's showy, that doesn't take the threat of the Grimm seriously." With each item she listed off she took a heavy step forward, metal boots thunking on the ground hard. "And especially the fact that you're a sub-human disgrace to the good name of huntsmen. Trusting an animal like you is only going to get people killed." She was now only a foot away from Isis now, the unbridled hate radiating from her with such intensity that it could nearly be felt in the air.

The smirk as gone, and she was now glaring at the girl. "So basically every single living being that's not you. Well aren't you a special little snowflake. Trusting a piece of dung like you? I'm sure every single person would rather throw themselves to the Grimm than be protected by you. Human or Faunus. Why should they trust someone who can't see past her own ego?" She wanted to fight now. She wanted to throw this girl off the cliff. "I'm glad I'm not human. Humans are so weak they have to fall back to insults and hurting those that can't protect themselves. They're all so scared that they have to treat everyone like Grimm, even other humans, or else they won't feel strong enough to put a bullet in their head when they don't fall in line. Tell me I'm wrong you stuck up, racist brat."

There was no longer a place for words between them. Instead, Haze threw a heavy punch encased in brilliant red metal right towards Isis's smug, stupid face. This wasn't her fault, she'd tried to keep her temper from flaring by coming out here, but Isis had decided to follow her and push her buttons one more time. One last time. Her loose black hair flew behind her as she threw her whole body into the swing, not holding back in the slightest. She was far too angry to pull a punch, especially not one directed towards a sub-human piece of scum who dared call into question her ability to protect people. She would, she'd give her life to keep everyone she could safe. No one would have to be like her as long as she drew breath. No one would ever fear the Grimm again, not if she had anything to say about it.

(Well, we'd absolutely love to have more people! Especially since back on the old forums you ran the first RWBY rp I ever joined, so it'd be only fair for you to join this one. XD Would you like to reserve a couple of spots for when you do think of some characters?)

(I believe it probably would have been Fogside? I bounced around on a few different accounts. Only had one charrie, a Raccoon Faunus with a shotgun, so nothing too memorable and I'm afraid the rp didn't last long.)

I believe that it was. You're absolutely right on these being hard to keep active, this is probably around the seventh one I've been in? Well, actually eight and they've all failed. Fingers crossed that this one doesn't! XD But if you'd like to join that'd be wonderful, even if you just have some WiP charries you'd like to post.)

The red headed girl stood a short distance from her team mates, leaning against the pillar slightly off to the side. She gave a small chuckle at the mention of luck but said nothing, Loki sure was good with those cards but where luck was concerned she had an ace up her sleeve. Of course there was a part of her mind that was telling her she should be getting to know her team, part of her was desperate to slip away and sneak a cigarette. It was a bad habit, undoubtedly one of many she had, but she didn't want to get in trouble on the first real day of school for something as stupid as getting caught smoking. Despite almost having her back to the other three she was listening intently, looking down at her scroll feigning interest in some news story that filled the screen. Biting her lip she slipped her scroll away and turned more towards the others. Her amber eyes grazed over each in turn. Taking a moment to categorise them, making small mental notes about each. These were the people who she would be spending her time at this school with, people she would be sharing almost every aspect of her life with. Still she said nothing but inclined her head at Jason's comment about getting to know how everyone fought. She too was interested to see how her team mates fought, even if she was pretending she had no interest at all.

(Woo finally have time to write a rp post! Sorry if these are lazy kinda of just tossing my characters into the fray~)
Erika had stood silently off somewhere during the whole day not really one to goof off with others. She had been quite surprised upon being told she would lead a team, it was a huge responsibility, a responsibility she would make sure to live up to. She had to live up to the responsibility to make up for the fool of a brother she had. She had avoided him the whole day, he knew Erika disliked him so he didn't go out of his way to annoy her. In fact Erika was sure he hated him back, because he was the oldest child yet he lived in the shadow of his little sister. She was always better then him at fighting, and being proper. This however caused her brother to always have friends, and Erika to be lonely most of her life. Though loneliness didn't bother the young woman, in fact she quite enjoyed solitude. However now wasn't the time to be the loner, she was a leader now. She couldn't afford to play the lone wolf she tended to play, no now she was an alpha wolf of a pack, the lone wolf routine wouldn't do well now. So now the young lady went to find Nyx, one of her teammates. She had taken her time, though she figured at this point she was ready to go meet her new teammates.
------------------------------
Lars had taken to the town despite the day, he had no reason to be there for the first years. Mainly because he knew his younger sister would be there, standing there in her prideful state. He had heard a rumor she'd been named a leader, which annoyed Lars to no end. He wanted his sister to fail in something, he was tired of being the only loser of the family However at this point he didn't care he was going to enjoy the day. He was currently in the local town leaning on a wall next to a couple of ladies. "Yes, I'm a hunter. Defender of humanity, slayer of grimm." He commented to the ladies who in Lars is joy seemed to be for it. He might even manage to get luck today if he kept it up.
----------------------------
Nero sat in his team dorm room sitting upon a chair with one leg over the other as he calmly read a book. His face like always was blank as he sat in silence, he didn't really have plans today. However he did want to scan over the first years just out of curiosity. He always hoped he'd run into somebody with his amount of hatred. Sure everyone hated the white fang, but Nero's hatred burned harder than just that. His goal was to one day find someone who felt this same hatred, maybe then he would have someone to have a real friendship with. Sighing the raven haired male closed his book, and headed out of the dorm room heading to where all the first years would be, or at least he assumed they would be.
-----------------------
Snake was silently sitting in a room at a white fang base with a cup of ramen in her hands. She looked like her normal facade self the nice girl next door who was simply enjoying her day. However most people in the white fang knew this cat faunus was a insane girl who just acted like this when not on the field. She enjoyed her ramen in peace as she watched the others go about with their business. She had no clue where the rest of the team was at, nor did she really care. She was quite content with just lazing about all day, and killing extra hard tomorrow to make up for it.
(Promise once my characters are interacting with something my post won't be as bad. Plus I'm about to pass out so I quickly typed this up~)

Even covering his ears he could hear the high pitched whine. Kieran did a good job of directing it away from him, but it didn't stop him from letting out a low, disgruntled hiss as the ringing in his large ears died down. Leuco couldn't even be mad at the other faunus, seeing as he'd just taken care of what couldn't been a large problem, "Let's go," He spoke a little louder the intended, sensitive ears still readjusting, "Don't want to be late." Talk about a waste of a perfectly good cigarette, he'd extinguished it for nothing. These things weren't free, y'know. Sure, the cheap ones were basically free, and stealing them wasn't an issue if the person who bought them is dead, but these ones were decent. It was just one of those days. "Anyone ever tell you you have a weird weapon? Because you do, you have such a weird weapon. I'm not even sure if 'weapon' is the right word to use."
Kestrel was going to reply when she heard the sound of words stopping, "I think the speech is over." Other people started clapping, so she did too, not thinking much of it. Her claps were pretty loud, and not at all refined, so it was strange that they lacked enthusiasm. She took in her teammates one at a time, the cool guys and the cool girl. She seemed a little scary, but Kestrel got that a lot herself, so she didn't mind. Rather a scary girl on your team then a useless one. The only problem she could foresee was that her fingers were already twitching. Loki was nice now, but she doubted that he'd take too kindly to her filtering through his pack. And as cool as the other girl seemed, she didn't want to find out how tough she was the hard way. To keep her mind focused on something else, she started bounced on her heels, "Did any of you hear any of it? Was it any good?"
Just seeing that Star is near Tein now oops sorry) Tein clapped along with the first years up in the viewing gallery, smile getting a little bigger. She loved the start of year talks, the headmistress had a very comforting feel about her, and being as empathetic as she was, Tein appreciated that. She turned to Star at her side, "Isn't this exciting?" She gave her a gentle nudge with her shoulder, "We're third years now. Third years! I half thought we'd all die before we made it halfway through our first term." She joked, rubbing the back of her neck. That was only half jest, she really had been worried for a while, but she didn't think it'd be boasting now if she considered her team one of the best in the year. It was true after all. "We're lucky we had you to lead us. Otherwise I really do think either me or Lars would be dead. There've been some close calls."
I'll just sandwich someone in for Lars to talk to ~ ) The town was busy enough, for late afternoon, but that boy still stood out. Every teacher in the school knew Lars by name, he was just one of those students. Algernon didn't suffer fools gladly, and this guy had never taken a single one of his classes seriously. Even in advanced combat, he was yelling out strange battle cries. That was the one subject even the slackers took seriously. Regardless of his academic ability, it was still a school day, however. "Youji!" Mr Dubois barked, he was in the habit of going by second names for students. He strode up to him, the big man only needing a few steps to cross the pavement, "I know why I'm in town, I was sent here for last minute supplies. In case you've forgotten however, it's still school hours." He ignored the girls he'd been talking to, they weren't his students so they weren't his problem, "So would you like to explain to me what you're doing here instead of school grounds?"

Kieran's music resumed as he gave Leuco a shrug, lights flickering to a lime green as electronic beats started playing from the rabbit ears on his speakers. Normally he would've enjoyed a bit of a fight with some racist thugs, especially taunting and toying with them once they realized they had no hope, but this was not a mission he wanted to go wrong. Getting a direct order from Aurelion was terrifying, but if things went well they could look forward to quite the reward from their enigmatic leader. "/(โ x < )๏ผผ." The emoticon that appeared on his visor was obviously meant to be tongue in cheek, not really taking the older man's words all that seriously. His helmet was certainly unorthodox and he knew it. An abrupt turn down an alleyway put them into a network of narrower streets, all of them shady and dangerous. It would be about half an hour's walk to the private airfield (amusing that it was so close to such a poor neighborhood) through here. The helmet swiveled towards Leuco as they walked, observing him. In spite of himself Kieran was curious as to what he'd been up to recently, it had been quite some time since they'd worked together being on different teams and all.
Jason frowned slightly at the complete lack of response he got from everybody, not so much as even a small smirk. He shook the thoughts off as the audience erupted into applause, joining in with his own clapping as the headmistress finished her speech. At Kestrel's comment he tried to put on a lighthearted air again, tapping one of his ears with a finger. "Oh trust me, with these I hear everything." As soon as he'd ruffled the fur he was already smoothing it back into place, not comfortable with having his fur being anything but perfect. Speaking of, he'd managed to shower after the forest to get rid of all the nastiness from their trial, but standing so still in a room that was made hot by so many bodies packed together was making him sweat and he'd definitely need another before bed. Kestrel looked like she could use a couple too... "I'm sure it would have been inspiring if I'd actually been paying much attention." The jackal's gaze swung over to the fourth member of his team, the red-headed girl who'd been standing apart from all of them. "You catch any of it Cora?" She seemed a touch standoffish, but you never could judge a book by its cover.
