( Hey guys sorry for being scarce. I know I didn't come on much and I'm not trying to ignore the clan or anything. Like I said a few days ago my fiance and I are having some issues so we were working on that most of the day yesterday and trying to plan for him to come over from Sweden to come and see me. I've also been deep cleaning my house and it's been a bit crazy because as soon as I'm done with the task, the six other people I live with ruin it and I have to go back and do it. As for the plot being posted about, none of my cats really have any plots going on. I have two toms, my queen, and my elder open for anything. The toms know each other and are clan born. They're friends with Florasky. My queen and elder are related as mother and daughter and I have no idea who the dad of the kittens is. So if you want to make a warrior or HAVE a tom warrior of the clan to be their father, that could be drama because my rouge barely knew the tom. Or if you have a loner that could be their father that works too. I'm open to really anything and I'd love to rp with anyone. Sorry life has butted its head in a bit. Please let me know if I have anything to reply to by tagging me in it because it makes it quicker for me to see so I can respond a bit faster in case I miss it in the sea of posts. Also just so Florasky is aware, Sootstorm's favorite color is probably green because he likes to be outside in the lushness of the forest and he associates green with comfort. )

(Holy shoot quite a few pages since I've been on last q~q and I mean, as for cats, Nettlehawk is p much open for old cat rambles, but her and Ripple will probably bond, I imagine her and Dustsong will eventually interact... but if someone is looking for a grandma conversation she is available. Peony is currently occupied and I don't have any other cats haha..)
"I'd love to go hunting with you- I'm not very good..." she laughs remembering how many times it took her to catch a fish, but Ottersplash had been a patient and kind teacher. "But I'm sure anything you have to teach me will help me... and if we can find Breezewhisper, sure!" even if she needed to sit on the sideline for a bit while Breezewhisper focused on the apprentice, she'd understand.
Some time away from thinking may do her good, and perhaps in the end she'd be sure in her decision.

( Peony is sweet bby that Autumn loves. Ripple enjoys Nettlehawk a lot already and they will bond over being grumpy elders. Haha. BTW Ripple is originally a kitty pet but her father was clan born and that's how she knew to come to the forest in the first place. She's lived in the forest since she was about apprentice aged and was hidden pretty well by her dad until he passed a while ago. He's the one who taught her how to avoid the clan and how to not get caught and where to nest in the forest to make it seem like no one was there. She just never wanted to join in the clan so late in life because she figured, eh why would I do this now when dad is here taking care of me anyways and I can live however I want to. So she had Autumn and probably only her and has been teaching her... but now that she is old she regrets not coming into the clan sooner, as now she sees how clan life actually is, it seems it would have been an easier life for her. So she's full on ready to accept everything changing because she was the one who kinda put Autumn in a tougher situation in the first place. Just back story for my babies <3 )

(Ok, trinkets, I'll start it off.) Thornclover padded over to Pricklepaw. He thought the best way to become a good member of the clan was to get to know everyone, which that was partly true. "Hello young one. I'm Thornclover. Nice to meet you!" He yawned slightly.

Badgerheart felt a bit nervous at the idea of learning a brand new technique with so little information, although he did not want to show it to the loner and his apprentice.
"Demonstrate it to me a few more times, then I'll see if I can't replicate the technique" he meowed, focusing on how Ivypaw approached. It was difficult for him to see exactly how the small cat moved within the leaves, though, and he imagined with his larger size and thicker fur it would be considerably more difficult.

(Repost of a previous starter. Smokepatch is a cat with not many relationships that would be open for lots of stuff.)
Smokepatch wandered into camp, keeping her eyes peeled for Amberfang or Batpaw. She wanted her friend to keep her promise about the two of them taking their apprentices out together, but she also did not want to keep the smaller cat waiting forever. Scanning her good eye around camp, she hoped one of them would still be lurking around.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Noisepaw mewed. "Let's go!" They stopped for a second, looking back over to Autumn. "I mean, if that's alright with you..." They had suddenly remembered that the loner queen would probably not be able to go out with them, and they were a tad worried they came off as suddenly dismissive to her.

Ivypaw nodded and headed over. "It's good to cover as much ground as possible once you've gotten the area of the prey." Legend disappeared behind the pile after burying the mouse in it. "The mouse won't flatten and will wiggle so once you have it, you have to make sure to hold on to it or you'll loose it. Luckily, int he snow it will be harder for it to move, though." Ivypaw did the technique a bit more before they stepped out in the clearing. Ivypaw closed his eyes and listened again before pouncing. Although he always felt silly doing it, it was effective.

Badgerhearts ears twitched, unsure, but he nodded after a few more jumps by Ivypaw and stepped forward.
"Alright, I'm ready" he meowed, nodding at legend "Anytime you're ready."
He crouched down just outside the pile of leaves and closed his eyes, aiming his large fuzzy ears at the pile.

(Aaaah, Someone has to draw Badger jumping into a pile of leaves and when he comes out empty pawed be all embarrassed like "you didn't teach me well enough". It would be soo cute)
Legend nodded. They set up the rig again and he disappeared behind the pile. He moved the mouse around a bit. Left, right. Pause. Left, right, right. All a little closer to the outside of the pile.

Mudtooth and Ottersplash talk and gossip a little. Mudtooth more or less was listening to Otterplash as she goes on and on.
Lightingpaw was practicing in front of the apprentices den. She was working on hunting and battle moves.
Breezewhisper was laying out in the sun. Purring, he takes this moment to enjoy the moment. Right now everything seemed to be in order so he could relax for a little bit.
Scarletpool looked down as Lightingpaw and flicked her ear.
Alderstripes walked around Starclan unsure of what to do really.

Autumn waved her tail to say it was fine for them to leave, before picking a nest on the other side of the nursery and settling down. She smiled then yawbed and curled up for a good nap. She needed on just as badly as her mother had.

Slatestorm spotted Lightningpaw outside the apprentices' den. At least she was practicing. Slatestorm strode up to the apprentice quickly. "We're going training now." she said firmly and without further comment, though she was internally chastising herself for not having done this so much earlier.

Badgerheart sprang forward, diving into the leaves. He was almost immediately disoriented, noise completely surrounding him. The quiet atmosphere outside of the pile allowed him to completely hone in on the noise, but once surrounded by the crunching of the leaves, he had to guesstimate about the location of the fake prey.
He snagged his claw into the soft outside skin of the mouse, but as he moved forward to get a better grip, it suddenly sprang from his grasp, pulled by the loners string.
Badgerheart let out a frustrated hiss, pushing his body outside of the pile to see Legend on the other side with the fake mouse. He tried not to let his ears get hot with the disappointment of not getting it right on the first try, but reminded himself that this was just a part of learning a new, unusual technique.
He sighed, trying to shake the leaves out of his fur. "Again. I want to try again."

"It's disorienting, isn't it?" Ivypaw's whiskers twitched. Although Legend had said it would be, it seemed better to the apprentice to see another cat go through it. The loner nodded and reset it, putting some loose leaves back on top of the pile. "Now you know why I wanted to come out too." In truth, Ivypaw had been pretty lucky in his attempts at getting the mouse in front of Badgerheart. He still had a tricky time. And because the two were pretty similar, Ivypaw hadn't wanted to stop practicing until he'd mastered it.

Badgerheart nodded feeling a bit uncomfortable with all of the leaves and other bits clinging to his long fur. "Yes, it becomes much more of a complicated maneuver once you get into the thick of it... A larger prey would be easier, but mice and other small prey are the ones more likely to be burrowing around under cover like this.." he pondered out loud.
He rounded the outside of the pile again, listening intently. When he felt he had a good grasp on the location of the mouse he dove in again, somewhat less disoriented but still imprecise in his pounce on the mouse. Again, he hooked the prey, a bit more snugly this time, but ended up losing it again upon his attempt to pull it in for the "killing" bite.
He emerged again, shaking with irritation. His nose curled in frustration, but he turned to Ivypaw and addressed him evenly "Perhaps I have something to learn from watching you more, Ivypaw. Why don't we take turns?" He suggested.

Ivypaw nodded. It did make sense. "Okay." He switched places with Badgerheart and took his turn. This time, though he missed. His head popped back up and he hissed in annoyance, his nose twitching before he sneezed. Legend nodded. "You have it, it's just a matter of holding on to it. Rather than being the prey to you, bring your teeth to the prey." Legend instructed. "If you have your weight on it, it wont be able to get away but if you lift your paw, even a little, to drag it to yourself you give it a chance to escape. Especially if your grip isn't solid."

Badgerheart noted Ivypaw's frustrated expression as he emerged from the leaves and wondered if he was upset at not succeeding or if he was embarassed at not getting it right in front of his mentor. Badgerheart held no negative sentiment towards the apprentice, though, and simply listened to Legend's advice, passing over to have his turn.
This time, he focused on putting more momentum behind his pounce, and when the tip of his claw dug into the mouse he pushed himself forward more, rather than attempting to pull the prey back, so that when it jerked forward he was able to follow through and grab it with his mouth.
He emerged from the other side feeling the triumph of a challenge, and relished the emotion. He hadn't felt feelings like this in quite some time, and found he was genuinely enjoying his time with the loner and his apprentice. It was followed up almost immediately by a stabbing emotion- something like remorse or possibly regret. Why couldn't he feel this sort of comraderie with his clanmates? He tried to shake the feeling off, and turned to drop the mouse in front of Legend.

"Looks like are good to go then, Noisepaw. Bye Autumn, we'll come back. We'll bring you and Juniperfrost food if nobody beats us to it" she ducks her head and shuffles out of the nursery.
"Now we find Breezewhisper?"

Slatestorm then hesitated about where they would train. She really wanted to take Lightningpaw to the clearing Badgerheart had shown her, but he was out of camp and she wasn't entirely sure he would be alright with that. Then again, it wasn't a bad thing to give her apprentice proper training. "Come on, let's go." she meowed, heading out of camp and in the direction of the training clearing as she best remembered the route.
Noisepaw peeked their head out of the nursery, and then followed Peony out. Spotting Breezewhisper, they pointed him out with their tail. "Well, he's right there in the middle of camp. Guess there was no real need to go looking!"

Legend nodded. "Impressive. You're a pretty fast learner." Ivypaw tilted his head to one side. He wondered if Legend would join the clan some day. He'd make a good warrior. Would Badgerheart approve? They already had lots of outsiders in camp, though....

"guess so. Well, let's go ask him to train and hunt then!"
She hadn't met this cat too personally either, but she was sure he would be pleasant. Peony follows after Noisepaw as they approach rhe warrior.
