Ariella Faye Harper
As Skylar's voice drifted to her ears, an amused expression appeared on the slim girl's face. She just never shuts up, she commented silently, raising an eyebrow as her dark gaze flickered to her best friends. How in the world did they all get along the way they did? Aleks was a quieter lad, Sky never stopped her yammering, and Ari was a bit of a meanie-bo-beanie. It truly was something that they had been inseparable for so many years. The trio was extremely different yet they managed to fit so nicely together, presumably because they balanced each other out. For all the nastiness that Miss Ariella brought, Aleks and Sky put her in her place and reminded her to be nice. For all the trouble Sky and Ari made, Aleks scolded and reminded them to grow up and act like the adults they were. And for Skylar's bubbly chattiness, Ari and Aleks were, well, not so bubbly. What was that saying, "opposites attract"? Sorry, weird rambly paragraph..
"How long do you think this errand will take?" the dark-haired gal queried, pulling out her phone. "I need to get a workout in today at some point." Her gaze flickered from the others to the screen, reading 'way too early to be awake' am, and a grimace appeared on her face as she silently cursed the housemate who woke her from her slumber.
If she were to tag along on the trip to the store, she would either need to change into clothing befitting of a workout or pack her duffle so she could dash out as soon as they returned. Either way, she'd need to gather a few things before they left. Perhaps she'd skip the store? But she needed to pick up a few things and didn't want to owe Aleks money. It was just too much effort to trudge along to the Tyme Machine and get cash to repay her friend. The battle raged on in her mind as she pushed the cellular device back into her pocket and pushed away from the counter. Her gaze moved from face to face before resting on Skylar. Maybe the other gal would pick up what she needed, and then Ari would cover for her the next time her friend needed something from the store? Or perhaps she'd make a run to the store after her workout?
Really, the twenty-one year old just wanted to avoid the crowd at the gym. It was generally pretty crowded in the afternoon and evening, and she preferred to have the space to herself, or at least share it with only a few people. When there were more people around, it was more difficult to get to the machines she wanted to use, and even when she did they were slicked with sweat from their previous user, which was just plain gross. Didn't people know that they were supposed to wipe down the machines once they finished with them? How annoying. The thought prompted an eye roll from the girl, releasing her from her thoughts. She needed to make up her mind.
Or maybe she'd call up a teammate and head to the gymnasium to do some passing. Really, there were so many options... But which would she pick? Shaking her head, Ariella brought up a hand to run through her hair. She allowed a small decisive sigh escape her lips as she opened her mouth to voice the winner of her internal war.
"Could you guys give me a sec to grab a few things? Gonna hit the gym when we've finished shopping if anyone wants to join me."
