Caelum strolled into the throne-room after being fetched by one of the guards. Since his stay had started he'd taken to wearing a bit nicer clothing and today was just a bit different, he wore an outfit of all black with riding pants, over-the-knee boots, and a black tunic. Though his normal black jacket was replaced with a deep green one lined with black fur. As he strolled to the throne room a crack of red light caught his attention and the leisurely smile he'd had disappeared and he rushed down the corridor. Skidding to a halt in the throne room he blinked and looked at the scene before him. "What the he||" he muttered as he paused a moment before walking over towards Kaiser, his eyes never leaving the strange mage and large demon before them. "Who are these two?" he asked as he came to Kaiser's side and crossed his arms across his chest a bit defensively. 'Apparently the concubine and familiar of a demon lord whom has an interest in Roewen, and wants to ensure we get our item to the temple.' Kaiser explained in a single breath, his arms folded across his chest. He shook his head and looked at Caelum. 'Do you have the necklace? The item?' He worriedly asked, feeling a little stressed and concerned that they wouldn't get there in time. He hissed as he was struck by a bolt and doubled over, swearing. 'They're getting stronger.' He gasped.

Hawke examined their surroundings, narrowing his eyes as the sky flashed. "I hate this country." He said, after a moment of pure silence from him, before he slowly lowered his piercing gaze to the king and the newcomer. He looked directly at Caelum. "If you'd have been here earlier, you'd have known, wouldn't you?" He said, coming off as quite the powdered pr*ck. "I am Hawke, and this is Azazel. We're here because out Master likes you humans."

Kaiser's jaw twitched with an angry nerve. 'Do not speak to Caelum in that manner or I will personally remove you from my castle.' He said, his voice a deep warning. Azazel nervously glanced up at Hawke and bit his leg. stop acting like you're anything more Han a wh*re. he hissed, before moving forwards. We would like to assist you.
Kaiser sighed deeply and examined them, before looking at Caelum. 'What do you think, thief?'

(Hahaha I'm still getting the hang of his personality!)
Kafzel listened intently, something he normally didn't do. But, these dreams weren't just dreams, they seemed like so much more and the way Lucifer seemed to shudder at just the recollection of them...his thoughts began to trail off before he pulled himself back. All his deaths were painful, terrible ways to die. They sounded quite similar to Kafzel's own history. Then the mention of the three-eyed raven and Kafzel actually tensed a bit. After a moment though, a small idea flickered to Kafzel's mind then (though he would not say it yet) and he nodded quietly to Lucifer. It took him a moment to think through his words and then Kafzel finally spoke again. "Your dreams are not your own, you are right about that." he paused a moment and then sighed and shook his head, trying to form his thoughts into words, "I mean to say they are yours. It seems to me, that perhaps they are your past, your lives before your current life, flashes of the way they each suffered and died." then he paused a moment and reached hand towards the ceiling and made a sweeping gesture, "Our bodies, they span barely a century but, our souls can stretch themselves further. Perhaps your spirit form is a three-eyed raven for the simple fact that your soul has died such terrible deaths many times over." then he paused once more and then shrugged, "I've died plenty of times." he said rather nonchalantly, "That's how I was born into a Diviner, dying many times over and having lived each life for only those around you."

Hawke only looked mildly annoyed at the bite. This coming from the pet? he goaded, before looking away and heading to the edge of the room to examine the countryside. ....do you really think he could remove me? he then asked the hell-cat.

Caelum was silent, a strange thing for him, though his eyes flashed with worry to Kaiser as he was struck and huffed afterwards at the strength of the bolt. Then he was addressed by the concubine and sneered in his direction before scoffing and pulling the necklace from a pocket within his jacket, he held it for each to see before putting it back into the pocket and tugging the coat around him a bit. After a moment of looking over the two, Caelum simply nodded, "Given the circumstances and the growing storm I think it would be wise to accept help from a demon lord." he told Kaiser, looking over to him before back to the two newcomers of their group. "Let's get going then, wasting time is only going to make things worse." he told them all simply before heading for the entrance without another word or a moment of hesitation.

His eyes widened with horror at the concept of what Kafzel said. 'They're all- me? Dying?' He asked, panic in his voice. 'But they're all so gruesome and horrible-' He looked scared now, and even reared up a little. 'I don't want to die like that in this life,' he croaked, trying to not cry out of the simple fear that now coarser through his veins. What he hadn't mentioned was that each one had died at the physical maturity of 21- I.e, when their bodies had reached maturity- whether they'd lived 21 years or 4, being an Ancientblood- they all died at that age. It only confirmed that they must all be linked and past lives. 'I don't want that!' He exclaimed, voice becoming more and more panicked by the second as tears spilled over his cheeks.

Kaiser nodded with agreement and headed down as well, tucking his hands into his pockets. Into the eye of the storm. Azazel silently followed the two mortals, his soft padding making barely a sound on the floor. His two short bobtails were raised proudly as he led Hawke after them. It took about an hour to reach the Temple mountain, and Kaiser nervously stared up at the crackling peak. 'Looks dangerous.' He observed, scratching his chin. 'Let's hope all of that energy is on the outside of the temple, and not in.'

Kafzel felt the panic rising in him and sighed as he listened to him begin to fear the worst. Shaking his head lightly he cursed and tugged Lucifer down and then pulled him to his chest and rested his chin atop his head. "Stop it." he muttered simply as he simply held the boy for a few moment of silence. Then he spoke again, "You will be fine. Just because those are the ones you see does not mean those are the only ones. You could have had lives between each of those where they died of old age." he attempted to assure him. Though, he wasn't used to this sort of thing and need to get the hang of it still. "Just sleep now, you won't dream tonight, not while I'm here." that was a promise he couldn't keep but hoped would come true, "You have a day of training tomorrow and worrying all night over a history that you know very little about will do nothing but hurt you." letting out a sigh Kafzel remained there, not letting Lucifer leave until he was calmed, and even then he would remain close until Lucifer pulled away.
Caelum looked up above them and bit his lip a bit, "Certainly looks worse than the first one." he added lightly as he stepped to Kaiser's side and placed a hand on his shoulder, "But, after this, you won't need to be a lightning rod anymore." he added attempting to lighten the tension just a little bit.

Lucifer gasped slightly as he was pulled against the Diviners chest, face flushing red. At his words of comfort, Lucifer's heart began to slow and he started to calm himself down, swallowing back the tears that had threatened to overflow and quietly relaxing in the Diviner's arms. After a while his eyelids finally grew heavy, prompted by the comfort of a warm body beside him; he soon drifted to sleep, eyelashes kissing his cheeks and his breathing soft. --- Kaiser grinned and nodded at Caelum. 'I suppose that is a plus.' He laughed, before he began to climb up to the temple on the peak, while thunder roared around them and lightning struck Kaiser. Azazel shuddered as he walked, ears flat against his head, severely unhappy with their current situation and not particularly wanting to be here.

Kafzel managed to fall asleep in the later hours of the night as well, which was strange for him considering he didn't sleep often. Something about the warmth of another body was a bit comforting. But, Kafzel wouldn't admit that. No, why would he dare? His arms stayed around Lucifer for the whole night and he remained still most of the night, moving only to adjust now and then when his arms fell asleep or Lucifer's hair tickled his skin.
Caelum smiled lightly and nodded before following up after Kaiser, moving carefully up the mountainside with their small group. His eyes flickering around them as the storm co tinuef to rage. At each lightning strike on Kaiser he cringed a bit. But, they pushed forward nonetheless.

Caelum smiled lightly and nodded before following up after Kaiser, moving carefully up the mountainside with their small group. His eyes flickering around them as the storm co tinuef to rage. At each lightning strike on Kaiser he cringed a bit. But, they pushed forward nonetheless. ((They're so cute already I'm dying, I'm a sucker for sleepy cuddles Also, I dunno what people's wanna do about the elite training. It takes a while. Morcan will explain )) The next morning, Morcans booming voice rang out over the campsite. 'Rise and shine, sc*mbags, time for your morning debrief!' Lucifer jumped and tiredly opened his eyes, blinking blearily, before his gaze settled on the rising and falling chest of the Diviner in front of him. He found he didn't really want to move, but- he would do it. He groaned softly as he managed to gently slide himself out of Kafzel's arms, sitting up. He blearily rubbed at his eyes, then stood and got dressed in Elite attire- black harem trousers with a grey belt to show they were recruits, and a black T that tightly hugged their bodies, with a grey collar. Everan joined him and then two walked out to line up and wait for the debrief to come. 'You're going to be here for a month.' He announced. 'Your first week will be spent vigorously training to gain muscle mass and be able to take a hit in hand to hand combat. At the weekend, you'll return to Varezi for two days of rest, before we come back here again. The second week will be spent facing real challenges that happen during war- I will not specify what you're all going to go through. At the weekend, you will go to Varezi and rest, then return here once again for your third week. The third week is hand-to-hand combat, and multiple challenges that me, Ulfric and Aurinda set up. Now- being the specialist group and being more full of tacticians than thick-heads, your challenges will be different from the warriors.' A murmur passed through the group, interested and intrigued. 'You will not go home on the third weekend- you stay here to prepare for the fourth week. This means hunting, collecting supplies, and making this campsite your own. Your base.' Lucifer frowned, and raised his hand. 'And why would we do that, General?' 'Because in the fourth week,' Morcan said, smiling lightly, 'you will be fighting the other elites.' --- 'The other elites?' Hathor murmured, frowning deeply as Morcan delivered the same information to the warrior group, ten minutes later. He looked over at the Asiralathian prince. 'That sounds a little ominous. Why pit us against the other recruits? Is it to see whether one group is better than another...? Competitive?' --- Kaiser stretched tiredly to push the aches from his bones, and quietly took the item from Caelum, needing it to restore the temple and calm the storms. Finally they arrived at the doors to the temple, and Kaiser hesitated. They were open- as they always were- and inside was total, complete darkness. 'Okay.' He took a deep breath and led the way inside. A crashing bang echoed as the doors slammed shut behind the group and enclosed them into total darkness. A low hum started- as though a choir were singing in baritone, and Kaiser's eyes widened. 'I didn't know the temple still had priests.' He whispered, sounding terrified. Thats not good. Azazel growled.

(Hahahah me too!! And we could do short skips and small snippets of each week up until the fourth if you like? Just a quick glimpse at their training each week and how everyone is holding up, and then skip to the weekends and then back?)
Kafzel did not open his eyes when Morcan's voice rang out, he laid there silently and let Lucifer slip from his arms as if he were still sleeping. Then once the two had left, he sat himself up and stretched out his lean body and silently listened to their schedule from his tent. His face had taken the normal expression of boredom and he brushed a hand through his hair tiredly before getting to his feet and tugging his robe back over his frame. It took him a moment to find his staff but once he had he left and stood next to the tent, just listening and taking in the auras of each. The three strongest ones caught his attention most. Two similar to each other though one softer than the next, then the third was a booming, radiating feel, strong and commanding, more than likely a royal. He did not recognize the names though, it had been so long since Kafzel had listened into the Mortal Realm.
Varina stood amongst the group, her hair pulled back in a long ponytail to reveal her pretty features more and her slender frame shown with the tighter fitting shirt. As each week was listed for them she took in a deep breath to steady herself. At the final mention of the fourth week her eyes flicked around the camp and the fellow recruits and she felt a sudden urge to stick through it all. If she made it that far and then did well then, she could prove she wasn't just a princess, she was a fighter. As the specialists would have different training from the warriors, Varina also felt a small bit of relief wash over her.
Seneca beamed as each week was told for them and then rather than complain about the fourth week of competition and battle he actually laughed a bit and glanced over to Hathor, "It does, but what's training without competition." he commented lightly, "Perhaps it's solely to show us how our fellow recruits fight, perhaps how different each group is?" he suggested then noting the slight worry from the fellow recruit, "I wouldn't worry too much, Morcan has a plan and he doesn't seem like the type to let us kill each other." he added in an attempt to help him.
(OH! At one point can Aurinda just school all the recruit boys in hand-to-hand and other combat? Just because I want them to be embarrassed by her!)
Caelum followed close behind and took a moment to take in the temple standing before them, his eyes over the open doors and he felt a pit growing in his stomach. As they entered and the doors slammed closed behind him, he jumped and cursed before looking around in the total darkness. Then the eerie sounds of voices, a low humming almost, began to drone through the corridor and he felt his palms begin to sweat. "What in the he|| is going on?" he muttered softly.

Amos let out a quiet snort at Seneca's comment. "If we're not prepared to kill someone, then we ain't ever gonna be ready. As for letting us kill each other...?" Amos looked at him. "The Elite's are the best of the best."
((Omg little Aurinda going up against big Amos xD he wouldn't want to hit her xD ))
Hawke tilted his head as he listened to the droning noise. "Interesting..." He murmured, his eyes darting around the room as he tried to find the source of the voices. "Very interesting."

(Hahaha and then she'd just kick his butt and taunt him for it XD)
Seneca glanced over to Amos and his expression darkened a bit at the snort. Then as he spoke he clenched his jaw a bit and pushed the thought aside before looking back towards Morcan and waiting for their next orders. He couldn't deny that Amos did have a point. It was gruesome to think it might actually happen, but the Elites were who they were and there was no denying that fact either.

((Ofc she can )) Lucifer glanced back at Kafzel and his lips twitched up into a warm smile. Morcan dismissed them and climbed upon thorn, leaving Aurinda to watch over the specialist males- he would drop off Ulfric with the Paladin girls, and he himself would dip between the specialist girls and warrior boys. Lucifer headed off to one of the many pieces of training gear set up around the camp, a hanging punching bag which was near Kafzel, as he wanted to stay close to the Diviner, though he wasn't sure why. 'Did you sleep okay?' He politely asked, as he lifted his fists and began to smack at the bag. --- 'I am not concerned.' Hathor told him, blinking at the male. 'Just wondering what he is up to.' He moved off after Morcan dismissed them and sat nearby on the beach to watch them train under a strict gaze. Hathor moved off to some training gear and looked at the two 'friends' he'd made, expecting them to join him. --- 'Priests of Ra.' Kaiser fearfully replied. 'I didn't know they were here still- we're in trouble.' The ring of thunder is our call, The flash of lightning makes you crawl, On your knees before us all- Ra the all-powerful.Kaiser shuddered as they began to sing, torches lighting up the temple on either side of a walkway which led to a throne. The columns holding up the roof were twisting and engraved with wyverns, and along the sides of the rooms were platforms set into the walls, balconies, where hundreds of priests stood singing- the magic in the air fizzled like electricity as their singing boosted their power.

(Hahaha woo!)
Aurinda settled herself against a post to watch them all carefully, making sure there were no slackers in the group and ensuring that each was doing what they were supposed to. This was new to her but given the respect from Morcan and the position she held, she was confident and held herself with pride and dignity, her amber eyes daring anyone to step forward and question her authority over them and her power in combat.
Kafzel heard Lucifer come back over near him and he listened as he began punching the bag. His expression still bored and his foggy gaze fixed somewhere unknown ahead of him. He nodded lightly in response though, "I slept. I don't often so it was different." he told him simply. Then he turned to face Lucifer, "Tell me about those three that left, and the one still here." he instructed simply as he leaned against his staff and waited quietly for his answer.
Seneca nodded lightly and followed after Hathor after a momentary pause to watch Morcan settle onto the bench. Then he went to took up a place at a combat dummy. The ones that spun after you hit them causing you to work on your reaction time and defense as well.
Caelum looked about and blinked in the sudden light of the torches. His eyes moved around to take in the carvings and then to the priests still chanting in the balconies. Something like dread washed over him at the feel of it all and he clenched his jaw, his hand reaching to his side where a sword rested. "I don't like the feel of this at all." he muttered to the three of them. Then his eyes flickered up to the throne where presumably Ra would have taken his place, he searched for a moment as to where the necklace was supposed to sit before moving towards Kaiser, "We should hurry and get this done." he told him simply, his eyes showing true concern and maybe even a bit of fear. Something not usually given away by the thief.

Amos paused as he looked at the equipment, before beginning to punch one of the bags. As he trained, it became obvious that he was pulling his punches, but even so, the bag soon began to show the strain.
Hawke blinked slowly, then looked at Azazel. They're not going to let us past. He said, turning to look down the room again.

Something not usually given away by the thief. ((I'm sorry for my slow responses. I promise I'll try and pick them up)) 'The big one, the big bear-like man- the one with the Demonae on him? His name is Morcan. He's the eldest brother of Varezi but he gave up the throne because he didn't want it. He's also the General of the elites. The other big one was his second in command, Ulfric- extremely powerful and kind hearted. They were both chosen by Potentia.' He smiled proudly. 'And the Wyvern was Thorn, a rare breed of Lava Dragon- he's really powerful as well but a little dumb.' He looked to Aurinda, who was watching them. 'And that's Aurinda. She's the second in command to my mother, the Queen of Varezi. Her shield-sister.' He smiled over at him. 'She's beautiful, strong, and pure of heart- id fight with her any day.' As he finished explaining he got back to punching his bag, not wanting to appear like he was slacking off. --- Kaiser nodded and took a step forwards, but jumped back again as two priests appeared swiftly in the centre of the room, raising majestic ivory staffs and pointing them at the group. Do you think you can play with us, boy? You've come to take a higher place, boy? one of them purred. Fight with me and I'll kick you to hell, boy... Your father and his little witch wouldn't mind. the second hissed. 'Don't you DARE insult my mother!' Kaiser roared, thunder crashing violently outside. The priests did not flinch. They served Destruction itself. They began to circle, leisurely smiles set on thin lips. We've been searching for an Acolyte- maybe you will do- We'll spill your blood on the altar, and remove your guts, too. said the first. Fight and face the wrath of Old Lord Ra himself- Sleeping he may be but you can STILL witness his strength!!! The second priest shrieked, raising his hands and laughing loudly. Power hummed around the room and it seemed to flow brighter, and Kaiser backed up with wide eyes. Even the Ancientblooded king had no place among this company. His eyes slid to a 30ft statue of Lord Ra to the right of the room- there was a hole carved where his heart would be, and Kaiser knew that was where they needed to place the item.

(Awwww Lucifer is such a sweety, talkin about Aurinda like that!)
Kafzel listened quietly to him and then turned his face towards Aurinda, "She's been chosen by Alchemia, like your friend Everan." he muttered lightly. He huffed lightly then, "That hag smacked me over the head more than a few times when I went to visit my mother." he added as he listened to the sounds of the men training around them. He went around the area taking in each person before landing back on Lucifer, his face turning back towards the boy for a few moments, taking him in before speaking again, "How did you sleep?" he inquired simply, moving to circle around Lucifer, just to move, he didn't like sitting still for so long.
Caelum's hand was on the hilt of his sword as he watched the priests. His jaw was clenched his his eyes focused as he watched the taunt and threaten Kaiser. He knew that if he even tried to battle either he'd be struck to dust in moments. His eyes flickered to Kaiser and he took in his expression and felt his stomach twist even more. Though following his gaze he spotted the statue as well and then glanced around. If they could provide a distraction for the priests and get Kaiser to the statue, then perhaps they could end this. Caelum's gaze moved over to Azazel and Hawke then to gauge their responses to the situation as well.

((I'm laughing!!!! Alchemia always hits people round the head with her staff)) (That's why I put it in! In my mind Kaf like brushed her off or didn't properly address her after his mom introduced the two of them and then she smacked him around a bit and made him address her properly XD )

Hawke calmly examined the two, not panicking too much. If he did, he wouldn't be able to concentrate. He stepped forward, narrowing his eyes as he summoned his own staff; made of a dark wood, this staff was eblazened with gold runes, which travelled from the top of the staff, where a white jewel was set, down to the base, which ended in a metal spike. "I highly suggest you let us pass." He said, before placing the palm of his hand to his mouth and biting down hard, ripping the skin. He then reached up with his injured hand and rubbed it over the jewel, smearing the flawless surface with his blood. "I will not let you live of you decide to fight me."

(Awwww Lucifer is such a sweety, talkin about Aurinda like that!) Kafzel listened quietly to him and then turned his face towards Aurinda, "She's been chosen by Alchemia, like your friend Everan." he muttered lightly. Caelum's gaze moved over to Azazel and Hawke then to gauge their responses to the situation as well. 'I slept- I didn't dream.' Lucifer replied, trying to find the right way to reply as he swung his fists at the bag, starting to pant lightly. He eyed him as he walked around, feeling like prey hunted by a predator at the Diviners circling, despite the fact he knew he was just walking around. 'It's the most peaceful night's sleep that I've had for a while. Amos usually helps me sleep well but I haven't slept in his room for a while.'

Kafzel nodded and then paused a moment to listen to him, his eyes fixed ahead of him but his senses making up for that. Glad that his promise had been kept, a very faint flicker of a smile hinted at the corners of his lips. "Amos is your brother, how did two sons of Legion come to Varezi royalty?" he inquired before stopping and leaning on his staff again to listen to the story. He was tempted to join in on the training, getting a bit restless just being confined to walking and standing. Then he had an idea, "Train with me." he told Lucifer simply, not giving him time to start his story yet. Then he shrugged off his robe and set down his staff as well. "Tell me the story while we spar."

"Tell me the story while we spar." 'We're not supposed to do that yet.' Lucifer nervously replied, looking hesitantly over to Aurinda- but he saw that some of them were already playfully brawling and they weren't getting wrong, so he figured he'd be fine. He looked back at Kafzel. 'A-alright.' He said, moving away from the bag and hesitantly raising his fists. 'I'm not very good at fighting hand to hand.' He wanted him, so he'd know he'd be kicking Lucifer's as*. 'My mother found us on the doorstep of the palace- she's a follower of Legion, so she felt obliged to take us in- and not a week earlier she'd discovered she was infertile.' He moved in to swing a punch at Kafzel's stomach.

Kafzel nodded and then actually laughed lightly, "Others are, and she seems fine by what I can tell." he commented lightly and then readied himself, though he stood without his hands up and waited quietly for Lucifer's first move. As he swung Kafzel stepped around and snagged his arm, pulling it behind him in a hold, "I see." he replied simply, "Your movements are too wide, move quick." he added before letting Lucifer go. "Think like a viper." a light smile brushed his lips now and he stood ready once more, "Tell me about your brother."
