'Yes, I have.' Katherine replied, her voice very suddenly hardened to the voice she'd used when addressing the people. She got to her feet and straightened her crown. 'Now if you'll excuse me- I am running it.' She said, fiercely turning and striding away. 'I want recon, stat!' She commanded, disappearing down a hall. 'Mitera's mad.' Lucifer breathed, eyes wide, before looking at Amos. 'Should probably make ourselves scarce.' He got to his feet and skirted nervously around the Varezian royals, feeling anxious in their presence, before hurrying down a different corridor to escape to his room.

Amos grinned and followed him, skirting around Morcan to do so.
The air around Aiden shimmered with heat as his emotions began to rage, and he growled under his breath. Khan watched him, then stood and left the room, following the queen. "Katherine, a word?" He said, looking down at her.

Alain was silently keeping hold of Tabir's hand, needing the extra comfort and the reminder that he was alright- he was alive. It was working as a grounding mechanism, almost, if he wanted to speak in magical terms. He released a long, exhausted sigh and rested his head back against the pillows, struggling to keep his eyes open. He didn't want Tabir to go- it was probably the first time in maybe 10 years that he'd felt like he needed his father. He silently cast his gaze over Tabir's face and shakily lifted his hand to cup his cheek and the wound, knowing it would scar without guided healing. With the final tendrils of what he had left, he mumbled under his breath and watched as a soft cyan light left his fingertips and slid into the wounds, causing them to glow and slowly start to knit back together. He then dropped his hand to the sheets and sighed again, utterly exhausted. 'two hours.' He mumbled, comforting himself with the fact he could get at least a little sleep before he rested whether the wolfsbane had gifted him consciousness whilst transformed. ((I'll reply to Iona once I've finished up with Aiden, Ulfric and Aurinda! ^.^) Tabir smiled. Finally, after such a long time, he felt a sense of peace as he cupped his son's hand again. Him and Valare had never had another child out of choice -- wanting nothing to compete with Alain. Everything they had, they wanted to give to him. And now his son was finally accepting his love, even if it was just for a moment, he felt...complete. "Thank you," he whispered, looking up to the ceiling once again. "Thank you mother." He stayed with him while he slept, and once he was truly asleep, he started to murmur a lullaby in the old tongue -- something he'd not done since Alain was very very young. It was sweet, and meaningful. Tabir relaxed into it, thinking that he could stay there, with his son, all night.

Alain had multiple moments when a pained expression would cross his face from a nightmare, but Tabir's singing would always bring him out of it and back into peace. Finally he woke, as the moonlight started to pour into the room. He cracked open his eyelids and looked around, a bit dazed. He was no longer in pain, and his head was much clearer. He slowly sat up, wincing slightly from the effort, and then glanced sideways at Tabir, a little surprised to see he was still there. 'Why'd you stay?' He questioned, sounding wary. A ripple shuddered up his spine and he sucked in a deep breath. Alain would be forced into transformation before his father would be, due to his lack of control over it. 'Can't stop it,' he managed to choke out, quickly staggering out of his bed and slamming into a nearby wall, snarling as pain attacked his body again, bones twisting and snapping to change and morph him into his werewolf form. Brown and white fur shining in the moonlight, Alain had grown at least two heads larger since he'd left. He tipped back his head and leant back on his haunches, releasing a deep, guttural howl-- whereas before it had wavered, now it was steady and strong with maturity. Shaking out his mane he dropped to all fours, nose twitching. Alain turned to look at Tabir- and his eyes glimmered with triumph. It worked. he said, slowly moving over to Tabir, swishing his tail. We should go to Ma- she'll be transforming too.

Did you change my regime before, or after you completed your training?" He asked, taking her hand gently. He was much calmer than his son, and had a much better control over his temper, even considering the fact that he had been locked away for many a year.

'After.' Katherine politely replied. 'I realised it would be far too strenuous on the women of Varezi. As an oceanan i was already trained to fight- but I knew the others would struggle.' She explained. 'So I changed the regime, but it's only by a little- the women's weights are not so heavy, their physical training is cut down- If the men run 20 miles, the women run 18. If the men train for 3 hours, the women train for two and a half. It was so they wouldn't die. Our bodies are biologically weaker- so the adjustment simply made it more suitable to our needs. And trust me, sir- they are just as capable of kicking the men's a**es in the elites as they are each other's.'

"Not that I don't believe you, but I would like to see this for myself. I do set a high standard for my elites, and due to the same reasons you have just mentioned, I didn't let women join. I believed that my standards were too high." He began to walk slowly. "As for my son..." He looked at her, smiling gently. "I cannot comment on how he may have treated you before he was taken, but I formally apologise for anything he did that may have caused you harm. It is around his age that the fire burns strongly within. We all did things that we do not regret at the time, but years later we look back and think on our actions. Its a learning curve for us, and we don't even realise."

'If you please, Khan, I have two sons of my own.' She replied. 'They may not be Varezian born, but they are raised. I know well enough how boys can be when they are young.' She turned away and pulled a scroll from her pocket, glancing through. 'The next elite training will be in a weeks time. Morcan will be taking them and I will be taking the women- if you'd like you can accompany us both so you can see how your regime has developed.' She said, sliding it back into her pocket and smiling at him, trying for warmth. 'The kids are already arriving, actually. They'll be taking cover downstairs- I'll let them out once I'm sure Daniel has backed down.'

We should go to Ma- she'll be transforming too.Tabir smiled at his question, answering quickly before the transformation that he knew would be coming soon. "Because you're my son," he said. "When you're mother got sick I had to be...something that I wasn't. Which was angry -- an angry, headstrong leader. Like you and your mum. I know you don't think much of my affinity towards beauty and art -- neither does your grandmother -- but I can't stop who I am. All I can do, is embrace it," he said, looking up towards the moon and relishing the silver light streaming onto his face. "It's a lot like the transformation at moon-rise," he said. "I used to hate it. I hated it for a long long time. Until I realized it was who I was -- and learned to embrace it." At that statement, he opened his arms and welcomed the change -- his bones reforming themselves, the sprouting fur, the widening eyes. The silver light upon the shining white pelt was a true expression of beauty. Many paintings Valare had commissioned were actually depictions of Tabir's wolvish form. Soon, he was in full control. Full power. And now him and Alain were once again father and son, they had a Kingdom to fix -- and a Queen. That's...complex. We should go, It'll be easier to explain once we're there. They headed down the hall -- earning the respect of everyone who walked there. Some were quite surprised to see Alain in control of himself. Some were surprised to even see him alive. The halls of Malia's castle were wide, big enough for their wolf forms, and the doors could be pushed open since wolves didn't have the best thumbs in the animal Kingdom. And then, once they arrived in the signing room they found her -- half transformed. A wolvish arm there, a overly furry leg, her face sort of consorted into a weird skull of a wolf, but still lay with human skin and features. It's been like this for months, Tabir said, drawing one claw down the side of her face tenderly, trying to stop himself from crying again. It's why I think she needs a healer -- that she can't break out of this on her own.

Ew. was all Alain said. The kid really did have a few problems on the sympathy side. Shaking his head he backed out of the room, not wanting to look at the grotesque image. It made him feel sick. i... might know something that can help. he said. There are rumours from the wolves in the howling forest of a woman- a healer. We should find her, bring her here. He padded into the halls, fully intending to go right this minute. He may have full consciousness, but it didn't stop his primal needs- he needed to run, get rid of his energy, he needed to hunt.

I didn't know you knew about her... he said, quite nervous that knowledge of the girl had spread to his son. The family had watched her for quite some time -- making sure she never went to far, or did anything to drastic. Seemingly, she'd been content enough in the forest, only coming to the city for supplies every once in a while. She's...got a history. But you're right -- she knows wolves. We should bring her here [[Sorry for the horrendously short reply, but I must sleep now. I'm so tired >.<]]

He said, before standing in front of her, sliding a finger under her chin and lifting her head so he could examine her closely. "How much of a toll did they take on you?" He asked, frowning slightly. "Legion's sons are said to have a problem with drinking. Were there any issues feeding them? Did they injure you when growing? I've seen how strong Amos is, and an injury caused by him might take a while to heal."

((It's ok! Goodnight ^3^))
Like I said, I've only heard rumours. Alain responded, not really noticing his fathers flinch and continuing eagerly on his way, trotting past castle attendants who watched them go with warm smiles and bows of respect. The forest would be wild and dangerous tonight, but their senses were keener, so it would be much easier to find the woman they were searching for.
And, if Alain was correct, rumours also said she was travelling with something known as a 'super pack'; basically an army of werewolves. He was wary about this but determined to face them regardless.

'When they were babes, they would only suckle blood from the chest.' She explained, sitting down. 'They received milk from a nursemaid.' She poured herself a glass of water and began to sip at it. 'Amos broke my leg when he was a month, three ribs when he was five months, and almost snapped my arm in half when he was six months. After that incident, I started him training to control his strength. He's fine now.' She finished explaining. 'It- was just overwhelming. One moment they were in diapers, the next they were speaking, and the next they were talking in three different languages because they learn so damn fast.' She sighed, downing her water and looking much more perked up from it.

'I've managed for a year- and before that, 18 years.' She said, grinning lightly. 'Don't forget I am Oceanan bred, Khan. We well know how to take care of ourselves.' [[So the reason that took so incredibly long is because I decided to do some immersive Illiana/Tabir backstory! yay! ]] Tabir started to walk. He was following Alain, but not with great enthusiasm – he knew more than his son knew, but he still didn’t know everything, which made him very apprehensive. He still remembered the day…
“And what the f*ck are these?!” Valare snapped, dangling a pair of kitten heals from her fingers – glaring at him with intent.
“I-I..they’re just to advance my height! I swear they don’t mean anything!” Tabir claimed, retracting back a little like a cat at Valare’s anger.
The Queen was not buying it. She threw the heals in the fire, watching them burn with glee before turning to Tabir with a threatening snarl. “I’ve heard of men – who take a persuasion to wearing feminine clothing…I will not be seen by the other Kingdom’s as a fool of a woman who married one!” she snapped, starting to raise her voice and advance on Tabir. “I do not wear fanciful clothing, because I am a warrior. I will not be seen by the other Kingdom’s as a fool of a woman who married one!” she snapped, starting to raise her voice and advance on Tabir. “I do not wear fanciful clothing, because I am a warrior. You are the ancientblood son of Beastia herself, so f*cking act like it!” she shouted at him, then stormed out the room – leaving her husband trying to fight back tears.
He couldn’t believe himself. He knew this would happen if he kept things like that. How dare he marry a woman as incredible as the Queen of Zale’mas….and be such a worthless husband. All the guilt, and the anger, and the hatred over himself bubbled up until he found himself sliding towards the open window of the castle tower room, and looking down below. It was a long drop. Not even he would survive. He was just about to do it – free Valare, from the curse that was him – when a gust of wind forced a letter from Valare’s desk and into his hand. He couldn’t help but read it.
To Her Majesty The Queen of Zale’mas, Valare Wulfhart the I,
This letter is only out of courtesy – to inform you of what we have done. We will not redact our actions in any way. Our actions were unassigned to any Kingdom or Monarchy structure and no one else apart from our order and yourself knows what we have done.
Seven months ago we found a small child, approximately four years old, in a secluded area of Asiralath. The exact location will be kept secret for security reasons. We found her on an island in the middle of a large pond made entirely of blood. We thought it a natural phenomenon, or a work of evil. We never once suspected that it was the child’s doing.
We called her ‘Illiana Red-Lake’ and planned to raise her in our order. The traveling monks do not often take in orphaned children, but our leader made an exception because great magic was detected in this child.
True enough, the child performed extreme acts of healing. Our leader was over 600 years old (an elf) and had never seen anything like it. The child has caused people to grow back limbs, recover from incurable diseases, stop bleeding from veins and replace damaged or diseased organs. She has also shown aptitude in other areas of obscure medicine – curing lycanthropes of lycanthropy in some cases, healing them in general where other (master) priests had failed, and has been able to cure insanity, psychosis, and other illnesses of the mind.
Her growth of magical power within six months was phenomenal. However, as we soon discovered, the child had other powers as well. A jealous member ofour order began to plot to kill her, when he approached her with a knife we stayed back – presuming it would be a good test of her own healing powers. However, she came out with a tremendous display of destructive power. It seems she has control over life – and death. The girl crumbled bodies and destroyed them in a manner of ways – inflicting diseases, causing organ failure, mass pain, in one case, a member literally gave birth to her entire inventory of internal organs. We were powerless to stop it.
The fight took 73 of our 92 member group. We now number only 19. I was an initiate, but am now the leader of the traveling monks. My grief, anger, confusion and pain cannot be measured.
The girl was captured and incapacitated – her memories of all time with the traveling monks have been removed, despite process. This may lead to other mental difficulties in the future, but we cannot risk this monster finding our order again. We do not risk murdering her, so we have abandoned her in the Howling forests – knowing someone of that skill can take care of herself.
We advise you never to approach her, to kill or to capture. Your life will end and your Kingdom will be taken as payment. Hopefully, something else will kill her in the end.
Grand-master Challis, First monk in the order of The Traveling Monks.
Tabir studied the letter over a hundred times, and he kept studying as he left for the forest. It took him weeks to find her, following unfamiliar scents, rumours and whispers. Eventually he found an underground cave, and a starving girl hiding in fear. He kneeled, offering food on a plate to the child. She pounced, devouring it within seconds. Tabir had expected her to be more defensive and cautious, but instead she ran and hugged him.
It was the hug, you see. The hug changed him. He felt it – thoughts and feelings inside his mind, his actual brain, twisting and turning until he could finally feel…whole again. He stopped denying it, stopped hiding it. He was…Tabir, and he loved himself, he saw the good, the beauty. He saw what he needed to do to be happy – to make her happy. And the answer was so clear now. Acceptance.
“Th-thank you,” he whispered, kneeling down to the child with tears in his eyes.
Illiana smiled – merely six years old. “Your welcome,” she said, then hopped away, going back to her food. Tabir supplied her with food at the same cave every week after that, until one day the food was left untouched, ten years later. But that night he was back in the castle, and had summoned Valare.
“What?!” the queen demanded, marching into the room in hand with a goblet full of gin. Tabir stepped out of the shadow, as Samantha Roux. A glittery gown, made of crystal isles rubies covered his long, slender figure. He had a shaper in so his hips were extended and he had a pair of ‘breasts’. His face was beautifully contoured and he wore a sleek blonde wig. On his feet, were a new pair of kitten heals.
Valare dropped her glass. Her mouth hung open. She was so shocked she couldn’t even begin to be angry, and stood still as Tabir advanced upon her. “Some men who dress as women do it for the affections of other men,” he started. “But I am not one of those men. I do it simply because I love beauty – in all its forms. I love the sleek curves, the glittering dresses – all of it. It’s creativity, artistry. Don’t believe I’d neglect my male form because of this though,” he said, now beside her lips.
“I’ll keep conservative in front of officials. But you’re my wife – and I won’t stop being myself in front of you,” he finished, unafraid of the most fear-inducing woman in the realm.
“Well, I just hope you’re wearing some nice lingerie under that,” she whispered, pushing him against the wall in a passionate kiss. That night, their marriage had really started. And he owed it all to Illiana… But as they left the castle, and went on the hunt for her, he couldn’t help but feel nervous – what if she wanted answers by now?

Alain shook himself down and yawned widely, nearing the forest. The second his feet touched the cold earth he began to run, nose twitching. He already knew where to go- the overwhelming scent of over a hundred wolves, if not more- she had to be there.
In the super pack.
---
Convel paced. He was nervous. The tension in the pack was wild, the wolves were fighting amongst themselves, whilst the conscious ones and the alphas strained to retain order. He had to find his pack. He had to find them! He was sick of- a new scent. He whirled on the spot and stood on his hind legs, breathing in deeply- two very, very powerful werewolves were coming close to them.
Akantha, he shouted, trying to find her, before he looked away and tipped back his head, releasing a howl instead- she would hear that. He had to warm her quickly, before they arrived.

Khan paused, then moved to sit next to her, taking her arm in his hands to examine it. "I care because you are my daughter-in-law." He said, looking at her. "Its as much my duty to keep your health in check as it is Aiden's." He smiled and moved on to her leg, pressing his thumbs in gently. She watched him as he checked that her wounds had healed properly, sitting patiently. She felt a little uncomfortable, as he was a stranger, but he seemed a gentle and honourable man- she respected that. 'I can keep my own healthy in check.' She told him. 'I've managed for a year- and before that, 18 years.' She said, grinning lightly. 'Don't forget I am Oceanan bred, Khan. We well know how to take care of ourselves.' She stood up once he was done and smiled down at him. 'I'm going to go let the recruits up from the dungeons- please excuse me.' She turned and left, heading downstairs. Khan's lips twitched as she slipped up in the Varezian tongue, and he stood with her. "Katherine..." He called as she began to leave, and he waited until she had turned to face him again. "Its 'health', not 'healthy'." He said, before heading down the corridor, in the opposite direction to her.
