"That... would be fine," Jennette conceded.

((Feel free to jump in with Andrew at any time, Dawn. Also happy late Forumsversary!)) Viktoriya blinked, shocked speechless by the obvious and willing display of comprehension. Was this shifter trying to remain hidden or not? She couldn't think of a single thing to say.
Schwarz was, to say the very least, not a fan of being followed. After about five seconds she abruptly stopped and sharply turned. "Is there something you want from me, Valentine?" she asked sternly.
Maria nodded silently, though her next move was to tap on her watch. They had less than five minutes left. The guards did not take kindly to prisoners in the halls past curfew, not even children.
In a flash Daniel was next to them, kneeling down by his daughter. "Anja!" he called desperately, grasping her shoulders, but she was out like a light. He didn't even know what had happened. But there was no time to figure it out; the sirens were getting closer, and already his worst nightmare was coming true. He scooped her up into his arms, clutching her tight to his chest, and returned to the car. Stopping by the driver's side, he paused for the briefest moment and looked back to Nichole. "You need to hold her while I drive," he said, but his eyes were hard.
Nate's smile froze, but he forced himself to shrug. "No. Not really. I'm fine... what is it you say? Cool? I'm cool with the IT thing for now. Maybe if I get bored with it one day I will do something else. Who knows." ((Jennette: In military uniform for some event she has obviously not yet left for or she would not be slouching like that. The thing in her hand is a beret. Nichole: She's supposed to be on a hill because why not. [Because drawing grass is tedious, that's why not.] I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out and I feel like her arms look too short but oh well. I definitely have a less good mental picture of Nichole because I haven't known her for at least like five years; there's my excuse.))

((I'm not really sure where Andrew would fit in right now, but if I see a place I'll try. I love the picture of Jennette!))
"I just thought this search might be more effective if we worked together," Lillian replied.

"And guilty I may be, but don't give up on me... We will still be thick as thieves."

(Nah, I can't think of anything he important he will do, so we can skip to the next day.) Already on a schedule, Archer showed up at Jennette's cell the same time he had yesterday. He was nothing if not consistent. He once more knocked before letting himself inside. "Good morning," he greeted.
(She looks cute! You did a great job with how little you know of her. ) Destiny took one last look at the sleeping figure before turning to follow Maria back to their rooms. She really didn't want to leave, but she knew she couldn't just stay there with Kurt. She'd have nowhere to sleep and she would be in the way. "Is it passed dinner time?" the girl asked once they were out of the infirmary.
"I can," Nichole replied, "if you can get my hands untied." It felt like a petty request to make after he had just saved her from whatever fate the man who attacked her had in store, but if things got worse, she wanted to at least be able to do something useful. Even if that was only getting Ava to safety. But to do so, her hands needed to be free.
"You must enjoy what you do then," Faith mused with a smile. "Few people can say they're happy with the jobs they have, so the fact that you do is great. How long have you been an IT?"

"Good morning," said Jennette in return, much more friendly than the previous day. "Did you find out about...?" she asked, trying not to sound too hopeful.
((Hmm, we really need to figure out what information Jennette has that the RK wants.))

((Yeah... Gotta do some serious thinking about this.
Oh, and when I said Andrew I meant Louis...))
"I somewhat doubt that," Schwarz said flatly.
((I keep forgetting necessary things like anti-shifting serum injections and food. Can we say they all ate together during these two hours?))
There was no time to react to this. Daniel simply shifted Anja to one arm and pulled a large pocket knife from his swimming trunks. He'd been carrying it around for about seven years but this was the first time he'd ever had cause to use it in an emergency situation. He gestured impatiently for Nichole to bring her bound wrists to him to be cut free.
Nate breathed out. "Just a year, but I've been fiddling with tech since I was sixteen so it feels like ages."

Aspen suddenly bounded into the alleyway. Her bag was there, and she scooped it up, shifting into human form.

((Ooooh, well that makes more sense. I can certainly fit Louis in.))
Louis flew overhead in one of his favorite forms, a hawk. He planned on staying in this town for a little while longer before moving on. He figured it was still safe for a little while. Though he was searching for small animals on the ground (with next to no money, feeding the hawk was easier than feeding his human self), it was a girl and a dog the got his attention. The girl was talking to the dog, and oddly enough, the dog seemed to be listening. Could they be shifters too? He swooped a little lower, trying to listen in.
--
"And why not?" Lillian demanded. "We could cover more ground that way."

((Oops, sorry Tom, I didn't see your response before I posted! Let me adjust.))
Just as Louis was getting close enough to hear, the dog took off. Louis followed, and was shocked to see the dog shift to human in the alley.
((Icestar roleplays Viky.))

Aspen looked up guiltily, putting a finger to her lips secretively.

Louis perched on a nearby roof and was surprised to see the girl interact with him. Of course, she couldn't know that he was a shifter too, but at this point he didn't see the harm in informing her. He nodded and put a talon to his beak, agreeing to keep her secret.

Aspen nodded, smiling. Her bag looked heavy, and it matched her hoodie, black. Like shadows.

Louis longed to talk to her, but he couldn't shift back without first retrieving his bag. He held up a foot, as if to say "stay," before flying off in the direction of his camp.

Schwarz looked over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow, and then turned back to face forward, not stopping walking. "We'd cover more ground by staying together?" she asked, no humor but a touch of contempt in her voice.
Viktoriya trailed silently after the shifter, who was holding the bag and sticking to the shadows to protect her nakedness.

Viktoriya looked away while the shifter clothed herself, and when she was finished she simply watched her. She seemed to be waiting for something.

((Ice, would it be okay if I changed Louis' age to 16?))
Louis shifted back to human and got dressed. He sighed. Now he'd have to walk all the way back, which was much slower than flying. Not wanting to waste any more time in case the shifter left, he headed back to the alley.
--
"I said we should work together, not stick together," Lillian shot back, trying to restrain her annoyance. There was more she wanted to say, but she doubted yelling at Schwarz again would get her anywhere.

((Sure. So then at what age was he bitten? Also I'm not really sure what else to say for Viktoriya right now.))
Schwarz wasn't sure why she'd specifically cited the virtue of covering more ground if that was the case, but it didn't matter much. "What do you propose?" she asked swiftly, wanting to get this over with.

"Yes," said Lillian. Sticking to the old plan was fine--really, Lillian had nothing else in mind--she just hoped Schwarz would agree to it. "You'll call me then, if you find anything?"

Actually being extended that request gave Schwarz pause. Then, "You shouldn't be out here, Valentine."
