On the outside, Thornstep thanked her, but, in the inside, he smiled his creepy smile.
Yes! Now, Pinepaw and I can tear the clan apart from the inside! He thought to himself.
He thanked Amberstar again, then made his way out of her den. He walked over to Ghostfang, and murmured into her ear, "I've done it, mentor!"

Stagpaw looked away as Amberstar entered her vision. Maybe she should just admit to it, and take pride in her work. Yah, that's what she'd do.

"I have two tasks to accomplish, on this stump today." Amberstar mewed. "I'll start with the first."
She closed her eyes and sighed before continuing.
"Thornstep will be the new deputy of Emberclan."

Foxstep sat around the announcement stone not far away from Limeheart as cats began to gather around Amberstar. She looked toward the medicine cat den to see Pinepaw sticking his head out next to Hollysong. She returned her attention back to Amberstar and listened as the announcement was made. Thornstep was patient, understanding, stern and strong; he would make a great leader one day.

"And, somecat played a prank on me recently... all I know is that it was an apprentice." Amberstar growled. "I just wanted to announce that none of the apprentices will become warriors until the apprentice in question is found and punished."

Stagpaw grinned at her, then said to Amberstar, "By the way, Rockfur hasn't been training me at all. I haven't been able to train."
"But while we were out there, you said you were training!" Royalfire exclaimed.
"Yah, with Thornstep. That's where I got these!" She said, showing her bitten ear, and bleeding tail.

Pinepaw hurriedly made his way from the medicine den to stand with Stagpaw and Thronstep. "I can't believe we both fell into that thorn bush. Though, I was dude eyelet faster than you! I just... Tripped up and fell on you but I would have won." He defended, making it sound like the bitten ear was from him falling on her and the bleeding tail was from the thorns.

"Why do you enjoy pranking? It's so mouse-brained that even a kit would know not to do it. Plus, if we pull the prank after we're 'freed' then they'll instantly know it was us. Know if it were me alone, I'd set it up at the peak of nighttime, but only after leaving through the dirt place tunnel and rolling in garlic so I wouldn't leave my scent. Then, I'd clean my fur so I didn't smell of garlic because that would disgusting." Pinepaw purred, realizing why Stagpaw loved pranking so much.
