Name: Bean Nickname: Leviathan Designation: 6B3 Gender: Male Age: 16 Base Appearance: Bean partially derives his name from the fact that he has always been small. Even now at almost fully-grown, he stands at only about 5'4", though what he lacks in height he makes up for with his broad shoulders and bulky muscles- even without the extensive training he goes through regularly, he would have been stout. His skin, naturally dark, is now a pale milky gray-white due to the side effects of genetic engineering. He lacks hair entirely, and patches of his skin have taken on a rather rough and almost scaly texture. This is part of what inspired the scientists to model him after a sort of reptile or sea monster. His eyes, like his skin, are rather milky in appearance, having once been brown but now a sort of muddy bluish color with patches of pale copper-brown obscuring parts of the iris. Enhancements: Bean's enhancements are intended to reflect a sea monster, though the exact shape is based more on a real-life reptile- an alligator or crocodile in particular. First, his eyelids were removed and replaced with a clear covering that never opens or closes. Over his eyes was then fitted a sort of metal plating which can open or close in place of his eyelids, so that he can actually sleep. Once he finished growing, his entire bottom jaw was replaced, as well as his nose, and shaped into a rather alligator-like muzzle. For the most part it functions like a regular mouth, though he has trouble speaking as he no longer has lips to form certain sounds. Because his teeth are all sharp, as well, he cannot eat some foods, and is therefore often given liquids or soft foods. He was modified so that he can only breathe through his nose, like a snake, and part of this upgrade was to implant a gill-like structure into his muzzle so that he can breathe underwater. The muzzle also filters the air he breathes so that he receives a greater percentage of oxygen, improving his overall physical performance. His hands were fitted with small claws, as well as webbing to improve his movement in water. His feet, too, were modified to be more flipper-like, though only the end of his foot is robotic- everything above that is biological. He has a small tail- only about three feet in length- which ends in a vertical paddle-like structure which helps him when swimming. He has several small, flattish, and dull "spines" set into the area of his shoulder blades, which help to act as armor. Personality: Bean is generally pretty quiet- he has to be due to his modifications. When he does make noise, it's generally not actual words, and for the most part he just growls. His communication is primarily through body language, but he doesn't communicate much anyways. He is surly, hostile, and not at all a team player- he prefers to work alone, and finds it extremely difficult to coordinate with the other subjects during group training. When alone, he is for the most part pretty lazy and will generally just comply with the scientists- he's learned not to resist. There are times, though, when he becomes more irritable and will randomly lash out at the scientists or other subjects; he's given more than one minor injuries this way, and his jaws are strong enough that he's even broken one guard's arm. When in his cell, Bean doesn't really do much; he mostly just dozes. Other:
Name: Andrew Lewis Role/Job: Guard Captain Gender: Male Age: 42 Appearance: Captain Lewis is not an especially large man, standing only at about 5'10" and with a rather lean frame, but he still manages to be imposing with his dark eyes and surly gaze. Lewis has auburn-red hair and a rather wild beard, and with his stormy gray eyes it has been mentioned on an occasion or two his resemblance to mythologically-correct Thor. Personality: His resemblance to Thor continues into aspects of his personality, as he is rather volatile in temper and tends to be rather explosive at times. He is easily frustrated by the incompetence or defiance of those under his command, and accepts nothing less than absolute obedience and perfection. He is not always so stern, however, and in his off hours he is often far more laid-back, and even rather chummy with the other staff members of Bunker 6. He is rewarding to those who do their jobs to his standards as well, and while his negative reactions may seem out of proportion they are never unwarranted. Other: Andrew Lewis actually has a wife and two daughters living in Colorado, where he is from, and he speaks of them often. He always carries their pictures with him as well, even while on duty. One of his daughters suffers from childhood leukemia, and this is one reason he is so accepting of the inhumane experimentation of the bunkers, in the hope that a complete cure for her will one day be discovered.

SUBJECT Name: Rei Nickname: "Shieldmaiden" Designation: 6R3 Gender: Genderfluid, biological female Age: 19 Base Appearance: Rei is stands at about five feet and three inches, with a slim and petite figure. They have short, messy, black hair and ice-blue, likely cybernetic, eyes. Their features are rather angular and relatively androgynous, especially due to an angular jaw, pale and lips, defined cheekbones, plus a pointed chin. Their fair skin is grafted to give an unnatural paleness to it when the light hits against it. So, Rei doesn't need any real adjustments to clothing, so they are seen in the standard white shirt and sweatpants, and they normally don't wear shoes. Enhancements: Rei has mechanical prosthetics, and grafted skin, like armor, which is additionally resistant to heat. They also cybernetic eyes to enhance the average vision, which has resulted in bright blue irises. The artificial skin was crafted out of a lightweight and durable metal alloy, which has made her relatively resistant to stopping the average assault of bullets. Their mechanical prosthetics are average, and assist in molding on the metal alloy skin, and lack many nerves, which allows Rei to have a high pain tolerance when it comes to the limbs. There are circuits wired into Rei's brain which causes Rei to be more passive in an attempt to have more control over future subjects. Personality: Rei is a gentle soul who is very passive and tries to take the path of least resistance. This tends to have people walk all over them since most of the time, this certain path leads to have them think they need to appease everyone before making an actual decision. Rei is shy, submissive, and has a high patience tolerance when dealing with younger individuals, but is highly sympathetic and tends to forgive over and over again. If and when agitated, Rei can usually get themselves under control before the wiring kicks in. Rei is a neat freak and enjoys trying to find order in chaos, so cleaning up after messes is almost therapeutic. Other: (Hopefully this is more adequate, I'm still open to adjustments)

A few things. First of all, the burn/fire thing isn't necessarily impossible, but all subjects have been raised entirely in the Bunker, none of them arriving any later than their second birthday at the absolute oldest, most of them at only a couple months old. So unless they were in a fire as a very, very young child there's really no way for that tot work. Also, subjects don't really have any control over their lives- they don't really get to request enhancements. All enhancements are experimental, for the purpose of creating super soldiers. Also, for the clothes: they all just receive a basic white long-sleeved shirt, white sweat pants, and white sneakers, though many of them don't wear shoes, or have slightly modified clothes to make them work with their enhancements. So they wouldn't be able to get a cowl or scarf or anything. And finally, being raised in the Bunker for their entire lives, there are a lot of pretty basic things that they don't know about or wouldn't occur to them. For example, Rei may be motherly at heart, but the idea of having a family of their own is probably something that wouldn't occur to them. The same goes for children- children never receive enhancements until they are at least ten years old, and except in special situations, never major ones where they replace full limbs until they are done growing. So except when they were very young and trained with other young subjects, they would never be around anyone younger than about 12. Remember, subjects aren't people who have submitted to experimentation by choice- they're essentially caged animals, raised so that they don't know what freedom is and experimented on against their will. Other than that, it seems fine- all of the enhancements are acceptable, as is their appearance so long as there's an adequate reason for the fire and it falls in the right time frame in their past. I would recommend making slight adjustments to their personality as well, but overall it's sound.)

(I have to go back to class now so this will be my last post for now. That should give most people time to reply though. Gonna tag everyone who's not currently here so that they're reminded that this rp is a thing lol.)
Wednesday, July 1st, 2089 - ~8:30am
Most of the subjects were waking up around this time, ready to begin their daily routine of eating, sitting around doing nothing, eating again, and if they were very lucky, possibly getting to do some training, or maybe even having a visit to the Yard for good behavior. Anything to stretch their legs.
At 8:30 sharp, the small latch on the window of each subject's door was opened, and a plate of food set on the small tray that sat at the bottom of the window. Each subject's meal had different contents, each tailored specifically to the exact nutritional needs of the subject. None of them tasted all that good- the rather dry, chewy patties of material had a rather minerally taste, though some had other flavorings added in to make them more appealing. A couple of the subjects who had been very well-behaved or who had done well in training also had a piece of candy with their meal- a Tootsie roll, or a lolipop, or a fun-sized chocolate bar, or something of the sort.
Ayro was still asleep, but woken by the loud snap of his window being opened and shut. He got up with a sigh, blinking and still tired as always. He shuffled over the window, wrinkling his nose at the food he was given; he could smell the citrus flavoring that had been added to it, making the entire concoction that much more disgusting. He hated eating, and the cooks- or whoever it was who prepared the food, he wasn't sure- were always trying to add something to it to make him eat. It never worked. At times, he would eat just to stop the gnawing his belly, but the rest of the time, he wasn't desperate enough to do so. This was one of those days. Exchanging a glance with Bean, who lived in the room across from Ayro and was currently giving his own meal- which was liquified, unlike any of the other subjects that Ayro knew of- an uncertain sniff. Then, Ayro took his tray, dumped its contents in the toilet, flushed, and put the empty plate back on the stand before returning again to his bed to hopefully doze for a while longer.
Bean, on the other side of the hall, regarded his own food, though not nearly with as much distaste as the older boy. One of the benefits of having an artificial face was the lack of taste buds. The 16-year-old took the cup of, uh, whatever and chugged the entire thing. Then he crawled back under his bed where he usually slept, rather lizard-like.
De had already been up for a while- they got up at about 6:00 every day so that they could stretch and meditate before breakfast, just in case they were taken for training afterwards. De gave a small smile as they received their food, going to the window and taking the plate back over to their bed, where they sat cross-legged and picked at it with small, neat bites so as not to get crumbles on their meager sheets. Like the other subjects, De's food was less than appetizing, but they were used to it at this point, and it was effective in satisfying their hunger, so they never complained. They had also been left a lolipop- grape, their favorite- but De stashed that under their pillow for now. There were perhaps four or five other piece of candy there as well, which De always saved for days when they felt especially down.
Kei woke up irritable- but then, she always did. She rolled out of bed (literally rolled, right on to the floor) stretching widely before getting up and grabbing her meal and making sure to give a good stink-eye to anyone in the hall. She turned the food over in her hand, glowering at it before shoving the entire thing into her mouth and tossing the plate onto the floor carelessly. Fortunately it was plastic and didn't break- staff had learned that lesson a long time ago. Kei finished the meal off with some tap water from her sink before retreating back to her bed where she would wait for the next half hour to see if Father would come- if he did, it was usually a bit after breakfast, or around dinner time.

Rei looked over their shoulder before grumbling slightly at the arrival of food. Not this again... Soon enough, they slowly sat up and stretched for a moment before running a hand through their hair as if that would wake them up more. A small huff escaped their lips before taking a glance down at the tray. It was in a pathetic little tray, and they were portioned into sections with some strange liquid. One sniff of it confirmed that it was chock full of metal supplements. Of course. Their eyes narrowed before plugging their nose and forcing themselves to eat the bitter mush. One would think the liquid would get rid of the taste. No. That also tasted bitter and it was supposed to help keep the gears well-oiled. It felt like sludge doing down the system. A shudder ran through them before they slowly stood up and proceeded to try stretching in order to wake up and properly exercise their limbs some more.

(Hey think I'll join if that's okay? The plot really caught my eye and it was a nice topic that didn't already have like 1000 pages lol. I've never really been consistent with forms on other sites, I need to get a feel for the character so don't be surprised if a thing or two changes here hah. Thanks!)
SUBJECT Name: Sri Nickname: Rukh (Roc) Designation: 6S Gender: Female Age: 17 Base Appearance: Born in western India, she moved from there to the USA at a few months old. Her father, who specialized in biotechnical and genetic research, died in a cover story of a car crash. Before this, he moved around the globe frequently, communing with his research or sticking his nose where it didn't belong. Sri has similar features to that of her father, but looks mostly like her mother, who died shortly after her birth. With no memory of them, her parents came from Punjabi and Tanzanian backgrounds, and this reflects onto her too. Sri isn't too tall or too short, standing at a height of 5"6 with gangly sort of build. She does have a kind of awkward look to her, but with her great physical and athletic health, she has an odd but strong disposition. Her black hair is very short, like a grown out buzz cut and she wears the standard white clothing no problem, but may roll up her sleeves every once and awhile. Her eyes are a very deep brown that appear as dark pools above her round lips. Enhancements: Both of her arms were replaced, each with a different use. Her left arm is an actual functioning gun from the forearm to the hand. It can switch rounds from pump action or to semi-automatic pistol shots that project from the palm. The right arm is used for storage and is capable of infiltrating through small key locks or scanners from the fingers. Most of the time her weapons aren't loaded, only for training purposes. She has good reflexes on her own, but her eyes were also modified to improve distance vision especially in hazy conditions. Personality: One thing notable about her is that she is anything but rebellious and follows just about any order without question. If any sort of resistance were to happen, she would immediately capitulate to the authorities of Bunker 6. Like most, she is also introverted and has a very observant and cautious nature. She thinks carefully before involving herself in messy situations and most of the time appears very composed. Other: (edited)

(mostly looks good, just two things. One, this is really supposed to take place in the USA [or at least the modern equivalent in this rp] so in order to end up a subject she would have to be in the "USA" at the time of her parents' deaths. Second thing, I don't think that many different weapons would really fit in just her forearm, especially not as small as she is. Not to mention it would have to fit room for ammunition as well. I would pick just one, or POSSIBLY two if they're kind of small. Sorry.)

[Yeah, I thought about that so I was thinking maybe her father had moved to the US before his death? If that's okay. I know it isn't that specific, sorry- I'll edit. Also, yes, I can fix that last part it is kind of small now that I realize lol, maybe it would use a whole arm instead.. like a cyborg arm thingy. Btw, wasn't sure how futuristic-like the weapons were? I know this is sometime in the future so are they about the same as we would consider now? Just want to be sure))

(I would say the weapons are probably a BIT more advanced but we're not really to, like, lasers and stun guns yet. This is only, what, like 70-something years in the future? And guns haven't really changed in the past several hundred years, except making them more efficient. But the overall design isn't really much different. So I assume that trend would continue onto the time period of this roleplay. So that's why I said maybe two- because using MODERN guns, you'd be lucky to fit one in a forearm, unless maybe it was a pair of very small handguns. I figure the guns in 2089 pack a bigger punch with a smaller size [as technology tends to do] so you could probably manage two small but reasonably powerful weapons per arm. I probably should have specified, that two I mentioned is per arm, not overall.)

(I've returned from class and video games with my dinner ) Eie woke when he heard the tray of food passed into his room. He opened his eyes briefly to look at it and at least acknowledge it. It wasn't like it was anything that could get any colder if he didn't get up right away, so he rolled over in his bed for a few more minutes. There was no argument that he was hungry, but more he liked being able to relax as long as he could. He didn't want to risk it being taken as a sign he'd rejected his food and have it taken away, or to be removed for any sort of reason and not have a chance to eat it. After a good five or six minutes, he sat up out of the comfort of his bed and made his way over to the less-than-appealing meal he'd been offered. Out of habit, he broke the more solid food pieces into smaller bits, eating them one by one. It might not be anything near tasty, but the act of eating seemed to pass the time fairly well.

[Yeah I didn't think about lasers haha, I get what you're saying. My idea orginally was something like the metal of the arm tranforms into a working cyborg gun thing but then maybe that's too past the technological abilities of the time? Kind of like a whole tranformers robot thing going on and the gun is compact and all that, if you know what I mean? I have some other ideas though so I might change it up and ask you what you think of them then. I'll edit tmrw ^ when I'm off mobile then. Thanks ))

(yeah I think it being too Transformers-y would be past the technology of the time. Making a few parts move around to reconfigure into a a different shape would be feasible, but it wouldn't be as intense as Transformers. It would probably be more like.... idk. Having an arm were a couple parts move and it turns into a small machine gun or something. Though what would be interesting is maybe if rather than it distinctly being WEAPONS, her arms looked realistic but had a storage compartment. It would usually be used to contain extra weapons or ammo or something, but could also be used to smuggle stuff [seeing as some of the subjects are geared more towards more... covert types of "battle" than open combat]. That also means the scientists can take away her guns while she's not training, for safety reasons [they try not to leave the subjects with anything that could be used too effectively as a weapon when they're not in training]. Idk if you'd want to go in that direction but it would be a way to make it pretty versatile, which is what it looked like you were going for. Like, she wouldn't carry every weapon, but she could carry almost any weapon.)

(This is interesting. So she still wouldn't really be able to fit a lot of weapons, but she could carry any type of weapon per arm then? Maybe each arm could have a different use too. One idea I had is that the arm was an actual functioning gun itself that could shoot out of the palm/hand, like pump action style. [which would help with close combat + metal hand so pow] Switching rounds to different capabilities? While the other one could act as some sort of other purpose, maybe like you said for storage or some sort of other shooting ability. And when you say realistic looking arms, they don't have to appear as metal on the outside? I'm not sure whether I want her more covert or direct out combat.. maybe a little bit of both idk. I'm going to keep her WIP for awhile until tmrw or weekend.]]

(Alright. And yeah those ideas would probably be feasible. And no, it is possible to make prosthetics that appear normal, at least at a glance. For most of the subjects the scientists don't bother, but if the subject is intended to be more covert they would want to see if they could make the enhancement fairly unnoticeable.)

( Sorry for the absence!! Oway's form is pretty much finished and I fixed a few errors in Io's. It's not a huge change but my brain kept cringing every time I saw the mistakes. haha. )
Io || 6I2
The schedule seldom changed here in Bunker 6. It was the same drudging work day in and day out. They woke at 8:30 sharp, ate breakfast, and did the staff's bidding from there until dinner. After some time - years spent doing the same thing - Io had become accustomed to waking just short of 8:28 a.m. His internal clock was primed to wake him before breakfast even arrived. Though others suspected the stale meal carried no distinct smell, Io was almost certain it did. It came with whatever aroma the cook's had decided to flavor their meal with. There was never a time he could remember not being hungry. His enhancements and high metabolism made sure of that. His stomach would howl at the slightest whiff of their genetically modified sustenance. So - even before he heard the clatter of trays - he was perched on the side of his bunk, wringing his hands in anticipation.
He was on his feet in an instant, taking the tray with a kind nod as the staff member moved on. Taking it all in with a small sniff, he stalked back to his bunk, sitting cross-legged on its surface with his tray on his lap. Protein and carbohydrates, tablets and water, all stale but so blatantly wonderful that Io could hardly complain. Taking his time with his meal, he ate slowly and waited for further orders.
Oway || 6O8
Even with the little time they were allotted to sleep in, Oway found it hard staying asleep the entire time. Some other subject's murmured voice would wake her; the guard's changing shift would jerk her from a slight slumber; the smallest of noises would send her back into consciousness with little will to slip back under. This night, she'd woken after three hours of restless sleep and had barely closed her eyes since. As the staff emerged with trays of food, she sat on the floor, her knees curled up under the bunk so that she could do some proper sit ups. Pulling herself into a sitting position, she kept crossed one pair of arms over her stomach and the other behind her head, breathing out slowly. Laying back, she paused as a staff member stopped at her door, slipping a tray through the window. Staring after them, she waited till they were out of sight before standing and taking the tray.
Wordlessly, she dropped to the floor, her tray in one hand and started on her meal.
