Emeraldpaw walked to the Orchardclan border with Basilwhisker. She couldn't see any cats on a patrol. What a pity, she thought. She had wanted to meet a cat from another clan! Emeraldpaw looked up at Basilwhisker. "I thought other cats would be here..." She said in a dissapointed tone.

Emeraldpaw bounced on her paws. "I hope she does! What's it like at a gathering Basilwhisker?"

"Oh it's mostly a bunch of cats from the different clans milling around until the leaders call a meeting and then they tell everyone things that are happening in the clan. Like that Foxpaw and Shellpaw just had their apprentice ceremonies. Just stuff like that." Basilwhisker said scenting the air.

"It might be more fun for you. I just don't really love being in the middle of tons of cats. Once we are done marking the borders we can go back to camp." Basilwhisker said sighing at the apprentices impatience.

"Okay now that we are done do you want to go find something fun that the new kits would like. Maybe some honey or some feathers?" Basilwhisker asked heading back towards camp.
