so i think Freyja is trying to like reach out to me or something. she appears on my dash on tumblr a few times and my latin american humanities professor started talking about her a bit too and like when i see her name i just suddenly start paying attention and i feel a pull. idk if that means she is reachign out to me or what so i wanted a second opinion and i am pretty sure you deal with that pantheon most. im not really familiar with the Norse gods other than the bit of mythology i know so i find it a bit odd but im not at all opposed. what do you think?

Guess I should tell about my self a bit.
I practiced Wicca for a while till my Aunt the Fairy Queen died when I was a Freshman. I lost contact with pretty much everything involving Wicca, magic and spirituality after that. Recently have been trying to get back into everything after finding a lot of my Aunts books on magic, spells and healing. I use to do a lot of herbal healing, I focus more on crystal healing now.

Ghost: If you feel that tug, it's certainly more than likely she is trying to reach you. I haven't dealt with Frejya on any more than a couple of occasions. But what I do know is that she's a strong and empowering woman as well as very, oh what is the word I'm looking for here... regal? I think your first step should be to do a little search on who she is and pay attention to any more times shes mentioned around you.
21Guns: I'll add. Thank you.

Welcome 21!!
also my BOS is definitely hard to read if you aren't me, but I like it that way tbh. adds to the charm and mystique, plus it's more of a scrapbook of shadows than anything.

(It loads a little slow on my browser but not to bad. Also, the layout overlays the picture that heads it. So there's this odd black line through half of it. But other then that I love it. )

i know about that site i use it to refresh my knowledge of my greco-roman gods but im tryign to look into freyja right now so i need something for norse deities. i know i want to read more in depth about Amaterasu since she is my main deity and my head patron so i plan to look into library books on Shinto for her. But mostly i want to research freyja for her symbols and things that relate to her because gods come to me in weird ways. Persephone reached out to me through a renewed interest in batman cause bats are one of her animals and psyche came to me by just popping into my head and helping me realize i act on what i am passionate about and that i put my soul into everything i do. I think Persephone had the most interesting way of reaching out to me other than Amaterasu. but yea i like to consider all factors before deciding a deity is reaching out to me so i want to figure out the symbols and important things relating to freyja.

qυeeɴ oғ ɢнoѕтlιɴɢѕ while not a Shintoist myself, here's some resources, including a free e-book authored by the high priest of the Tsubaki grand shrine. Here's a Shinto starter guide written by TheTwistedRope, who's my go-to person for Kemetic resources but also does Shinto as well: linkAnd here's that book, which also has a link to it in the above guide but I'll leave it here too: Kami No Michi

also i have question for general. Do you believe that the deities are constant in their personality and how they interact(like the deities are the same for everyone) or that they can differ between people like your experiences with them are different? i hope that makes sense sorry if it doesnt.
Like personally i think they differ cause of how Amaterasu and Poseidon are with me so i feel like they differ but im curious about ya'lls opinion on the matter

Is it weird that I've had wolves on the mind a lot lately? I've even started converting my little shrine thing to a wolf-themed shrine (assuming that makes sense)

Like personally i think they differ cause of how Amaterasu and Poseidon are with me so i feel like they differ but im curious about ya'lls opinion on the matter Ok, this is coming from a Kemetic standpoint where we have 7849748932434 different myths for our 48394830934 different deities and EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM is entirely true and valid. Yes, absolutely I believe that. In kemetism, many believe that there are different iterations of the "same" God. Take for example Heru the elder and Heru the younger (AKA Heru-wer and Heru-sa-Aset) which come from completely different mythologies from different times in Egypt. Because Egypt was a very long-lasting empire and had many different rulers, each with their own views of religion, this is how things got so complicated. For example, before Set (who is a deity rather close to me) was the demonized chaos god who had a bone top pick with Heru, he stood on the prow of the night barque and had a very important role in slaying apep. The demonization of Set took place in the later periods, and the heroic God who had originally been the God of foreigners and travelers became associated with the very foreigners causing Egypt harm. I don't think I have the reviled version of Set, but if I do he's certainly had time to change. Other religions may not be as convoluted as kemetism, but I think the idea that gods can be different for everyone still holds water. Gods also have favorites-I've known of several people who Ra didn't seem to like but to me he's generally very pleasant, albeit a bit grumpy sometimes.

hey 21 Guns what do you mean when you say that your aunt was the faery queen??? My aunt was really into faeries and magical things, she practiced wicca and green magic. Her room was completely covered in plants, stones and fairy items. I called her the Fairy queen because that's what she was to me.
