Congratulations, Leap!
So, where should I even start when it comes to practicing paganism and witchcraft?

Most of my sources are on tumblr. Heck, I even run a blog that is my journey through all of this. I would start there or you could go through your local metaphysical shops and see if they have any help or guides for you

And I live in the city—there are no metaphysical shops, or at least not ones that are close by anyway.

Start out small, practice meditating, learn about your chakras, learn about the four/five elements (or six, if you are me and want to include Electricity/quantum metaphysics) and casting a circle or how to otherwise protect and ward yourself.
Focus and protection are absolutely key starting points because you should never attempt anything else magical without them. With, admittedly the exception of simple crystal, herb, or energy uses sometimes. (And i mean REALLY simple like just carrying them in your pocket, making tea, charm bags, etc.)

You could also ask around anyplace that offers a yoga class?

Candles I can get anywhere, but stones are harder to find unless you count pawnshops. I'll see if I can find one the next time I go out.

Sigils are oddly relaxing to make. I feel at home making them. Guys, I think I found my place!
Have you tried googling them? Because there might be some whole in the wall places you may have looked over

(And i mean REALLY simple like just carrying them in your pocket, making tea, charm bags, etc.) Well, I'm already familiar with the chakras and elements (partially thanks to the Avatar franchise), and I've always felt a connection to the element of water myself. As for meditation, I've tried doing that so many times, but I'm always disturbed. I've mentioned before that I have a few gems, and I do have a rose quartz that can be turned into a necklace. I just need to get a proper chain for it.

I joined a few Pagan aminos on the Amino app, so hopefully I can find a teacher through that. I'd join meetups, but again there's none that are near me, or at least to my knowledge anyway.

I told my grandmother I planned on leaving the Catholic church. She said it was my choice, but then said she wouldn't be okay with it. She then asked me if any of my friends were making me think this way, and I of course told her no. Honestly, by this point, her responses don't surprise me, but they don't have much of an affect on me either.
In other news, I forgot to mention earlier when we were talking about bands that Nightwish is another favorite of mine. Listening to them is strangely relaxing, especially Sleeping Sun.

So, I'm thinking of going to B&N tomorrow after classes and getting another journal (depending on the price, at least), but this one I'll probably use as a Grimoire or a Book of Shadows.
They also sell spellbooks, and there was one I saw where at least the summary on the back of the book didn't seem to take its own material seriously, like calling magic the dark arts.
I'm thinking of making my own wand as well.

Ugh, yeah i wouldnt get that one then.
I also tend to stay away from anything that decides to spell it magick or some other weird thing like that because thats a pretty good indicator the author is a dingus.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on getting that one anyway. There was another one I saw, but I can't remember the name of it. It seems to at least take it more seriously than the other one did.

I love B&N but they're not great with their nonfiction I would get pagan stuff on amazon because they have a bigger selection and it's not as. . . filtered I guess is a word?

Yeah, I get what you mean. The B&N I go to has a pretty decent selection on Pagan stuff, especially since there are at least two whole shelves dedicated to it. I'd order from Amazon, but sometimes the shipping is slow. I'm still waiting for a book that I need for school to arrive, and I ordered that almost a month ago.

So, right after I finished gathering nearly all the information I possibly could on Iris she spoke to me.
Call me crazy or whatever but I really distinctly heard a womans voice in my head that wasnt mine and wasnt one I can ever recall hearing before.
I dont really want to get into personal details about it but like
woah
ok.

Didn't go to B&N today because I was way too tired after classes, but I'll probably go tomorrow, if only to get the names of those spellbooks I saw.
Speaking of books, I don't know why, but I have a sudden urge to get the Harry Potter books. And I don't even like Harry Potter all that much. I think it might be because I've been looking at Drarry posts on Tumblr and Pinterest lately, plus I've also been reading Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, which is basically a a Harry Potter parody featuring gay wizards.
