Lance leaned against the railing as the wind blows against his face. He takes in the salty air and lets out a soft sigh. He was glad they were sailing once again. The King's Ranger had been docked in Bronze City for quite a while. He was eager to bring some pirates to justice. "We are coming for you." He mumbled softly to himself.

Arabella had been almost too eager to leave the city which they were docked in. Pirates were still at large and they needed to be brought down swiftly. It was almost a life's goal of her's to find the pirate ship that had housed her father. Whether he is alive or not, didn't bug her. What she wanted was to take all of them on that blasted ship and execute them one by one. Or all at once works too. Considering how many people pirates kill and force into slavery, they deserved a death that came to them on swift wings. The King's Ranger is death to them, its wings are the sea, and it will find those disgusting cowards who target the weak.
Arabella had been finishing up making the charts and course planning with some of the other officers. She was more on the intellectual side of the spectrum than she was brawn. Considering her size, she can't exactly take down a pirate without getting a few cuts or bruises in the process. She was better at avoiding attacks than delivering blows.
Arabella let out a sigh after she exited the cabin where she collaborated with others in her field. It was hard work, and very tiring. She could use a break one of these days. Arabella headed towards the deck a level up from where she was currently, to get some fresh air. There were a few men on the deck who were working, such as the man steering the ship, one man keeping a lookout, and others of course. But most of them could relax for the time being. She could see Lance has already come to that conclusion. She made her way over to him and leaned her back against the railing so Lance could only see her profile. She didn't turn her head to look at him when she spoke, "What day is it today? I seemed to have lost count."

"Thursday I believe." Lance said glancing over at Arabella. At first, he didn't think much of her. However Arabella proved to be quite useful. They both shared the same goal of bringing pirates to justice so there was that.

Arabella didn't answer him at first. She stared out at the sea opposite of her for a few moments. At the fine line where the sky meets ocean. "Thursday." She echoed, in a distant sort of voice. She went silent for a few moments again, brows knitting together and eyes misted slightly in a thoughtful sort of way. "That puts us at the arrival date of Monday. If the winds and current match that of today." She nodded slowly, as if confirming her own calculations. "Those sons of [curse]es won't know what hit them." Arabella said in a more serious tone, her voice had more of an edge this time. She turned around and leaned her torso against the railing, her hands folded in front of her above the endless ocean below. Arabella turned her head to face Lance, her expression unreadable, "are you ready?"

Lance turned and nodded his head. "I'm always ready." He said his face just as serious as hers. He was ready to put his sword through the heart of a pirate or to slit one's throat. "These pirates have evaded us for far to long."

Arabella nodded her head approvingly and then turned her head to face the sea again. The light bouncing off of the water was bright, but she has gotten used to it. It wasn't as blinding as it first was during her trainee days. Why did it feel so long ago, as if time had suddenly propelled itself forward a year and a half. "I haven't gotten to know you very well Lance. Despite the fact that I talk to you." She said suddenly, a slight change in her tone. "I've never learned the reason you joined. Why did you?" Arabella kept her focus on the ocean before her, as if it was her world. Because, it was. Her life started on the sea, and if she could help it, it would end there.

"Pirates killed my parents." Lance said looking down at the ocean. He could still see it clearly in his head. "They also took my little sister away." Lance growled his hands turning into fists. "I will make those pirates pay and I will make all pirates pay!"

Arabella looked down as well solemnly, her lips drawn in a thin line. "I'm sorry." She said quietly, yet very clearly. She inhaled deeply, practically tasting the salt on her tongue. "I understand where you're coming from though. I have never met a good pirate, even the words put together are an oxymoron. I'm assuming you haven't either?" She glanced up at Lance then back at the ocean. She clenched her jaw tight, relaying the memories of her mother. She caught a glimpse of her face, and then Arabella blinked a few times and shook her head to get the thought away. Her mother may be the reason Arabella was where she was, but memories wouldn't help right now, they would only anger her, make her feel like she needed to hit a wall over and over again. But no matter how many times she hit that wall, the anger won't go away. It was a vicious cycle of hatred one could call it.
