Name: Alecto Fontaine Description: Alecto Fontaine stands at average height at 5’6 with a rather slender frame. Her wavy, black hair reaches just below her shoulder blades although it is often kept in a french braid over her right shoulder. Wisps of hair often escape the braid and frame her face. She has pronounced cheekbones and greyish green eyes that seem to tell others to stay away. Dark, long lashes contrast the lightness of her eyes and her dark brows curve along the brow bone. Alecto has long fingers that often are lined with small cuts caused by the pages of the books she reads whenever she can. Alecto wears a loose grey shirt with black pants tucked into scuffled boots that had seen better days. Over her shirt, Alecto wears a charcoal colored jacket that reaches her mid-thighs and has white buttons on the left side. Age: 24 years old Personality: Alecto is rather cold and distant, rarely ever one to smile. She is often quiet and remains guarded at all times, never really speaking to anyone. When she does, she responds in short sentences and can be rather blunt. She is loyal and will be honest with others. If you wrong her in any manner, Alecto will take action and make you wish you hadn’t. She is one to hold a grudge and it is hard to earn her forgiveness. While Alecto is cold and harsh, she is also kind to her friends and she has a weakness for cats. What you are: Pirate Rank: Crew member Weapons: Alecto has two daggers in the inside of her jacket and carries a cutlass that hangs at her waist. Backstory: Alecto had been abandoned as a child and was adopted by a family who worked at a print shop. When she was old enough, she helped out her adoptive parents at the print shop and as she worked she learned how to read. She fell in love with books and the words she would read. Wanting to have her own adventure and experience something interesting for once, Alecto took to a life on the sea at the age of eighteen and joined the crew of the The Siren’s Call Crush: None Significant Other: None Other: She is bisexual (shiver my timbers) SN: qυeeɴ oғ ɢнoѕтlιɴɢѕ

Name: Henry 'Hal' Rourke
Description: Henry, or 'Hal', as he is better known, is average height, but quite well-built, with tan skin from working on the sea. He has thick dark hair, which tends to form itself into waves once the ocean breeze gets to it, which is obviously all the time. He has quite angular and defined features, his most distinguishing mark a very small scar on his cheekbone, from the nick of a knife. Of course, that isn't the only scar he has, he has many others, but that's the one most people recognise him by. His eyes are a rather distinctive amber colour, something particularly prevalent in the natural light.
Age: 22
Personality: Hal presents himself as being quiet and reserved - not in a shy way, it's just as if he has a limited amount of words and would rather save them for something important rather than smalltalk. Because of this, when he does speak, his words carry a lot of weight and people tend to value his opinion. This could, of course, put him in trouble if he is not too careful - someone who is quiet but whose words have weight could end up being quite the threat to the Captain. Luckily enough, though, Hal has no intention of overthrowing the Captain and at the moment he is only a crew member - he's not important enough to really pose a threat. Hal is also quite intelligent, and when he does just have a conversation with someone he tends to be quite witty. Because of his quietness, Hal is quite slow to make friends, but once you do make friends with him - which will probably take quite some time - you'll find someone who is loyal and actually quite funny. He doesn't let many people see this side of him, though, so if you do get to be his friend, you're one of the chosen few. It's quite clear that if you're one of Hal's friends, he really does value you.
What you are: Pirate
Rank: Crew -- The Devil's Advocate
Weapons: A pistol, generally
Backstory: Hal's father was a Navy captain and when pirates raided the port town where Hal lived, they recognised the sixteen-year-old's surname and took him on board ship, hoping that they could keep him as a prisoner and lure his father in so they could finally get a chance to sink his navy ship. But Hal's father never came, and the lad had proven himself quite useful. And slowly, oh so slowly, Hal became part of life on the ship and eventually earned himself a place on the crew. Some aboard the ship remember that he was not just a prisoner, but the son of a Navy captain, though, and some won't let him forget it.

(The sirens call has captured Lisa and her maid, becca, much to the chagrin of devils advocate because they wanted to do the same. And the hydrangea is about to head out to sea, after a minor encounter with a rather rude lil mermaid.)

Henry Rourke, or Hal as he was better known, was taking a very rare and quite short break, as he stood at the bow of The Devil's Advocate, watching as the ship cut seamlessly through the waves. When he was sixteen, he supposed he had thought he would one day end up doing this, standing on a ship and watching as it domineered the sea.
But he never thought he would be doing it on a pirate ship, oh no. He had thought it would be on a navy ship. His family was a long line of naval commanders. His father had been in the navy, as had his grandfather, and great-grandfather, and so on, for generations. The Rourkes were a very well-known seafaring family. Or they had been until Thomas Rourke's only son, Henry, had disappeared about six years ago. It was said that Thomas had given up entirely on sailing and had even left the navy, unable to bear being on the sea again after losing his son. And as far as anyone else knew, the tradition was ended. Only Hal and the crew of The Devil's Advocate knew that there was still a Rourke sailing, even if it was as a pirate, something Hal was sure was making his ancestors turn in their graves.

"In any other case, you two would both be right." Jacqueline said, her eyes staying on a ship further down the dock. "But in this case, you couldn't be more wrong. I think our man is fumbling with crates and not living up to his name." Jeremiah let out an amused grunt. "It is good to be proven wrong once in a while." He said, smiling slightly.

Looking over her shoulder, she shouted as loud as possible, "Henry Rourke, your Captain needs ya right now dressed as properly as possible! We've got a Commodore to catch! A shout punctuated the relative quiet, and Hal turned around to see the Captain shouting for him to get dressed - they were all in fine clothes. "Yes, Captain!" Hal had shouted in response, hurrying below deck and picking out the nicest clothes he owned. He'd gotten changed as quickly as possible - not wanting the Captain to get impatient - before emerging very quickly back on deck and approaching the Captain.

"Yourself and I are very alike Hal. So you'll understand this when I tell you that while we're undercover, do not call me Captain." She said, crossing her arms over her exposed chest. "You are to call me by my real name and not be surprised when I tell the Commodore that I am in fact Jacqueline Kensington, the daughter of the late Fleet Admiral Kensington, the woman who was kidnapped by Black Jack Jones years ago." Placing a gentle hand on the man's shoulder, something she'd never done in her years of being a pirate, she said in a softer tone "And you in turn will reveal yourself. I'd never ask you to bring that up unless I was certain we needed you to. We need to gain their trust, get them to save the princess and then we take our prize."

Abel had always had a knack for getting into weird situations and small spaces; and at the moment, he was in the latter, easily hiding behind a bunch of crates and gazing in silent concentration at the three pirates he'd seen come off the ship, dressed in very nice looking clothes, carrying some very nice looking weapons, and most definitely talking about something that could possibly end in 'money'. He slid with ease along the crates and through stalls to keep up with them as they walked, utterly silent and completely unseen. He vaguely wondered whether he should just grab something and go- or even hop on that nice looking ship. But he'd never really been on a ship, and although confident in his own abilities, figured he'd probably get lost and get caught. 'Feed the boys,' he mumbled, speaking of his small gang of orphans who lived in an abandoned attic in the city. They weren't all boys, of course, but it was what the group preferred to call themselves. 'They come first.' Nodding, he kept his ears alert and eyes wide and focused, listening out for any interesting tidbits of information and looking for a chance to... do something. He wasn't sure what yet, but he figured his body would decide on its own when the time came. If it ever came, that was.

Hal had nodded at the first statement - of course he would call her by her real name. That was what they would need for the mission, and if that was what she wanted, that was what he would do.
And then she said she wanted him to reveal himself. As a Rourke? As Henry Rourke? He hadn't ever done that, not ever in his years of piracy. He swallowed, looking away for a moment as he hesitated. Was he ready to bring back a part of his life that he would rather forget? Reveal that he was the son of a man who hadn't lifted a finger to help him all those years ago?
But there was something about the gentleness of the captain's tone, something about the fact that she was the only one who truly understood what he had gone through, that made him nod again "Alright, I'll do it."

"No one else will know I promise, and if either of you," she said, glaring at Roy and Jeremiah. "If either of you tell, I won't hesitate to tell the rest of the crew that you must've drunkenly slipped off of the deck and into the sea." Smiling softly at the younger boy, she was two years his senior, she grabbed his hand and laced her fingers between his, the action feeling odd and foreign. She knew what he had gone through, more or less, and while none of the crew knew the full story, she had always been tempted to tell it to the Rourke boy. "Shall we?" She asked with a mischievous grin.

There were only one or two long-standing members of the crew who remembered Hal's origins on the ship, and he was certainly sure he didn't want the whole crew knowing about it. Generally those that did know about his story didn't mention it, it was kind of an unspoken rule not to talk about the history of other crew members. Nevertheless, the last thing he wanted was too many people finding out, and so he was very grateful when the Captain said that nobody else would know.
He thought he caught some movement out of the corner of his eye, looking toward a pile of crates, but seeing nothing else he shook his head. He must have imagined it.
He was pulled out of this when the Captain laced her fingers through his and spoke again, to which he nodded "Let's go"

Jeremiah nodded at the threat that she threw at him, shrugging it off immediately. He was used to those sorts of threats. "I know how to keep a secret." He assured them both.
