As Dean picked up right after she spoke, asking him what was wrong, Cas swore. "Were you just talking to a Genevieve?" he asked, and when told yes, he swore again and hung up, standing. "You know Dean?" he then questioned, eyebrows furrowing together, though he did not let go of the blade tightly clenched in his hand.

"Did I not mention that? Bobby was my uncle-of-sorts. He babysat when mom went undercover." She said, twisting the blade in her hands. "He taught me everything he taught Dean and Sammy. Still planning on killin' me, feathers?" Smirking, she made of show of dropped her blade and said, "Come at me bro."

Castiel sighed, shifting on his feet and opening and closing his mouth awkwardly before slipping his own blade back into his pocket, "No, I am not, but I am not your bro." He paused, thin lips working together before he asked, "Do they know that you are what you are?"

"They know I'm one hell of a hunter." She stated before quickly saying in her defense, "But I did only find out last year when the Leviathans killed my mom. I honestly don't know how they'd react. Dean would probably kill me if he realized I've been letting him beat me when we arm wrestle." Stuffing her arms on her pockets she said, "Care to give me a lift to the motel, seeing as we're not trying to kill each other? My Baby's at the motel."

"You... have a child?" Castiel asked, eyebrows furrowing as he began forward, but before he could ask another question or she could answer his first, he grabbed onto her upper arm. Within what could've been any amount of time, since time was irrelevant when being teleported by a celestial being, they were at the motel. But, in reality it had only been one second, thank you very much.

"Heavens no!" She exclaimed, barely gazed by their change in scenery. "I was talking about my car, Feathers. Do you take everything so literal?" She asked before knocking on the door to Sam and Dean's room. "Honey, I'm home!" She shouted in a teasing manner:

There was a pause, and then no other than Dean Winchester appeared in the door, looking the two over. He was chewing something, probably a hamburger from the greasy, deep-fried smell arising from behind him. After a minute, he cracked a cocky smile and opened the door wider with a, "Come on in. Sam, look who Cas met."

"You're looking good Dean, you'd look better if you laid off the fast food," Eve teased her old friend as she walked past him, winking at him before she let out an 'oof' as Sam enveloped her into a giant bear hug, picking her up with a broad smile. "Oh my God, Sam I swear you're still growing." She laughed, hugging the giant who laughed before replying, "That or you're still shrinking." Setting her down, he asked with a softer smile, "What are you doing here?" Stepping back, Eve glanced around the motel and, noticing the newspapers pinned to the wall, said, "Hunting the same thing you are apparently. I never would have known you guys were here if I hadn't run into Feathers over there."

"Hey!" Dean exclaimed in indignation, but was cut off as she talked to Sam. He thumped Cas on the back, exchanging a quick word with the angel before heading back to the table, where a bag of burgers and fries was indeed balanced. "Where'd you run into Cas at?" he asked, popping a couple into his mouth and crossing his arms over his chest, looking between the two of them. Cas opened his mouth, then closed it, glancing over to Eve. He wasn't sure what to say. If he was going to tell the brothers what she was, he'd do it in private.

"He found me at a church a few miles down, I needed a new rosary." She said, glancing over at the guilty looking angel. About to add that he must have overheard her praying, she was quickly interrupted by Sam who was studying her with worry. "Eve you're bleeding." Raising an eyebrow, she glanced down at her shirt, forgetting she had torn her stitches whilst fighting Castiel. "Oh I must have torn a stitching on the way here." Pulling the shirt off, she had grown up with these boys, they'd seen it all before, she studied the deep stab wound and grumbled in frustration, her green eyes ignoring the scars littering her torso.

Cas looked away, up to the ceiling, flushing pink. Dean snorted. He didn't stare, but he didn't look away, just munching on his burger as he sat down at the table, flipping open Sam's laptop. "So, Eve, find anything interesting out there? There's some sorta huge demon infestation around here, but we got no idea what's causing it. Cas, what about you?" The angel shook his head, still looking up to the ceiling. It wasn't that he'd never seen a partially naked body before, but, well, he had just tried to kill her.

Sam's eyes widened and he shook his head in amusement. Walking towards the bathroom, Eve replied, "Well I've gotten rid of a few demons, the only thing they mentioned was that some idiot hunters were attempting to do the impossible and close the Gates of Hell." Laughing, she walked back out, a wet rag in her hand and pressed it against the wound before saying, "But other than that, I've got nothing." Lifting the rag, she glanced at the wound again and hissed. "Dean do you have a sewing kit? I need to restitch."

Dean chuckled, shaking his head. He did stand as she asked for the sewing kit though, walking over to the dresser and opening the top door, pulling out a travel one and walking it over to her, instead of tossing it like he normally would've. "There you go. Holler if you need any help." He flashed a smile before walking back over to his makeshift desk, flopping down and holding out the bag of fries and burgers to Cas. The angel just shook his head, so Dean shrugged. More for him.

"So how did you Winchesters get yourselves an angel sidekick?" Eve asked, sitting on the edge of the closed bed as she began to stitch her wound. Hissing in pain, she looked around and nodded her head in thanks when Sam handed her a bottle of vodka. Pouring a small bit on, she groaned and continued to stitch.

"Uh, sort of a long story," Dean replied, glancing over at Castiel with a smirk. The angel just rolled his eyes, saying nothing, per usual. "We weren't sidekicks when we first met, but I'd say we've warmed up to each other. Right, pal?" Cas actually cracked a tiny, tiny smile at that, nodding. "It comes in handy though, having a set of wings on your side."

"Pain in the arse when they're trying to kill you though," Eve added off-handedly, pouring more vodka on the cut once she finished before handing the bottle back to Sam who looked confused at her comment before looking at his brother with eyebrows raised. "Sam could I borrow a shirt? I've ruined mine." Sam nodded, ruffling through his bag before pulling out a giant flannel. Eve nodded her thanks once more before buttoning up the long sleeve.

Dean looked at Eve, Sam (well, until he turned away to find a shirt), and then back to Cas. The angel was just staring at him, eyebrows raised. "Something you wanna tell us?" Dean asked. "No," Cas said simply.

Forcing a laugh she asked, "You think Castiel tried to kill me? Why he's nothing but an angel." Sam raised an eyebrow, glancing between Eve and Cas but decided not to say anything and instead grabbed his to-go cup and took a long sip.

"Why would I try to hurt her?" Castiel asked, furrowing his eyebrows together quite unconvincingly. He knew that Dean didn't believe him, from the way the man stared, but he eventually just shrugged and muttered something under his breath before turning away. Phew.

"So do you boys have any leads?" Eve asked, reaching over and stealing a fry. Sam smiled and said, "Actually, Dean and I were just talking about it before you two arrived. We think the demons are here because they're looking for something, or rather someone. Dean thinks he knows what they're looking for."

"Did I?" Dean asked, shooting her a look, scratching at the back of his short-clipped head as he scrolled down the webpage he was currently on, "cause I'm ninety-five percent sure I was hammered when you were here last night." "You were saying that there may be some kind of creature or artifact in the town that is drawing the demons," Castiel reminded, shooting Eve a look out of the corners of his eyes.

"Some kind of creature? Like what, an Alpha of some kind?" Eve asked, her eyes meeting Castiel's narrowed ones. Sam's eyes lit up as he recalled the name and exclaimed, "It's a Nephilim, the offspring of—" Eve's eyes widened and she quickly said, "The offspring of an angel and a human. Extremely rare, there hasn't been one in thousands of years. Are you sure?"

"Nephilims," Cas informed, not missing a beat, "though not as powerful as angels, are still a much wanted and much feared thing for many sorts of creatures. Also, being that they are not as powerful, they are a lot easier to capture." Now, Dean though Cas was being stranger than normal, staring at Eve like that, so he asked after a moment, "Now, is there something one of you two would like to share with the class?"

"The demons are hunting me boys." She said, her eyes downcast. "The hunter has become the hunted and she's running out of magic tricks." Sam's eyes widened and he asked, "You're the Nephilim? And you didn't think of telling us before?" Looking up at the younger Winchester she muttered, "Mom kind of left out the part about my dad being an angel."

Dean's mouth dropped, and remained like that for a moment, before he looked to Cas and asked accusingly, "You tried to kill her?" He didn't know how to feel, but he'd known eve since they were kids. She wasn't ... she wasn't bad, even if she wasn't human. "I did not know who she was, if that's any consolation," Castiel informed simply, like it was the plainest thing in the world.

"And I'm still alive!" Eve added quickly, glancing over to see Sam's eyes studying her closely. The younger Winchester stayed this way for a few moments before asking, "What's it like? I mean, we've never encounter um, you, and there's basically nothing on Nephilim—" Laughing softly, Eve shrugged and said, "Um, well I can see an angel's true form, as well as demons, I have super strength and I can listen in on angel radio...nothing too exciting."

"But..." Dean said, trailing off as he caught Cas' gaze. He wasn't sure if the angel looked the way he did because he was being yelled at, or because he was truly sorry, but that was definitely a look of remorse in his eyes. "Why didn't you ever tell us, Eve?" he finally asked. His tone could've been angry, or just questioning.

"By the time I found out you were missing," Eve said, pointing at Dean before moving her finger towards Sam. "And you were retired in Texas." Sam looked away, her tone making him become worried. "And I've had to hide from a ton of his kind ever since. It's hard being a hunter with two reasons to be dead."

"It's nothing personal," Cas began, honestly, though he probably sounded rude, "it's just that, you're..." "Cas, she's a friend," Dean cut him off, sharply, jaw set squarely.

Resting a gentle hand on Dean's shoulder she gave him a soft smile before saying, "And I'm fine. I can protect myself Dean, I'm not a little girl anymore." Sam squinted in thought and asked, "But why don't angels like Nephilims? And why would demons be after Eve?"
