Does anyone know if there's been anymore news or information regarding the Warrior Cats movie? This forum area is seeming pretty stagnant lately, so maybe we can liven things up a bit? Unless there's just no new news and that's why. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm excited for the movie and would love to discuss it, even if there isn't any new news yet! c:

Nope, no new news on the warriors film, I think. But this movie may not be that good. Hopefully they do things right.

You've probably heard about this but I'll mention it anyways:
The producer of the movie will be David Heyman (producer of the harry potter movies)
It says this on the official Warriors website.

Basically, a couple months ago, the Erin Hunters announced that they would make a movie!! Alibaba, a producing company, bought the rights. Now we learn that David Heyman will be the producer!! It probably won't be good ... |

What we know has already been covered elsewhere in the forums. It's too early in production for us to know anything else anytime soon.
How movies typically work is that everyone involves is under contract not to reveal anything about the movie except for a few previously agreed upon things. Sometimes those involved can't even give out the name of the movie they are working on. Animation companies really keep these things under wraps. But there are usually info leaks in bigger companies such as Pixar. I doubt any of that will happen to the Warriors project. It'll probably be another year before we hear anything major. Casting is the next big step, so keep your fingers crossed that they start casting in the next 6-12 months!
