probably the most unlikely friendship in this entire palace, tbh)
Fel nodded, taking a breath. "Just get through breakfast," she parroted Roberta, before standing straighter, giving another faint smile. "Well, wish me luck. I might need that chocolate cake tonight," she confessed. "Just get through breakfast," she repeated, pulling away from Roberta, heading to Darcie and the crowd now appearing.

Juliette watched the girl she had been talking to head off for breakfast, frowning a bit. Maybe they'd actually let her sit this time. You know, legally. As Gil returned, she gave him an expectant look. "Well, well. Someone must have had a dandy time. You were talking forever, leaving me by my lonesome to be fallen over!" She stretched and adjusted her uniform, trailing behind the girls into the next room.

@ holly sure!)
Darcie led the way to the great hall, which was a bit further into the palace interior than the room they'd been in.
Alexander took a different route in order to avoid the group. He met with his family in a room that connected to the great hall, which was specifically for accommodating the royal family before their official entrances to meals.

(I'm gonna pop the queen in there too)
Katherine spotted Alexander and smiled, walking over to her son. She was in a regal purple dress with her silver and gold crown on her head and her hair up in a braided up do. "Hello dear! How are the girls? See any you like?"

Roberta smiled, encouraging her as best she could, "Good luck, Fel, though you won't need it. You can do this." Splitting away, she moved quickly back towards the kitchens to assist in bringing out the food. She hadn't been aware that there would be an elimination so quickly, it was rather sudden. She'd been operating under the assumption that it would at least be a day or two before any of the women were sent home. Worry twisted in her stomach for Fel and Hazel, both of whom deserved to stay at least a little longer, but she pushed it aside and masked her worried expression with a smile as she began to help bring the food out into the dining area.

Baby Prince, why not?)
Andy had been standing next to his mother, discussing how he still was struggling in Finnish. Dressed in a suit, not as sharp as Alex's, he still made an impressive impression, even at fourteen. Paired with his height, as well, it was always hard to forget Alex's little brother, even though Alex had the spotlight - which was fine with baby prince. At the end of his mother's words, he whisper-yelled at his brother, "If you don't like any of 'em, don't forget about me!" It was something the boys had joked about in passing, even though the brothers weren't connected at the hip.
"Just the dandiest," he told her triumphantly. "Though, I don't think I needed a wingman. I think I could've started to talk to her without you, thank you very much," he said in a cocky manner that he sometimes came out with. Gil knew next to Juliette it had no effect, rather it just something to make fun of him for. After all, Juliette was four years older than him and, well, a lot scarier than he was.
When Fel got to Hazel's side, she let out a quiet bout of laughter so Darcie didn't notice and yell at them. "I gotta trip up my competition somehow - why not affectionate 'break a leg'?" Fel teased; she actually really liked Hazel and didn't want to think of her as "competition." "And - well, I think it went good. I hope it did anyway. How did yours go? Brilliantly? Are you both in passionate love?" She joked, although a small part of her hoped it wasn't so; she pushed it out of her mind to keep her happy smile on her face.

"Fel!" Hazel waved to Felicity and trotted over to her. "Okay, 'Go get 'em, Tiger'? You nearly made me lose it before I even got there!" she laughed. "How did it go?" she asked.

The king shook his head. "Andy, please. You're far too young. And I don't want to see you messing with Alexander's Selected," he admonished lightly. "But how did t go?" he asked his eldest curiously.
(Sorry it's so short. In the car.)

Charles chuckled in turn. "Your mother and I are very happy with you, Baby Prince." He couldn't resist the joke, but now that it had been made, he was all business again. He wanted to know what Alex thought of the girls, who had impressed him and why, and who had not.

Adelaide walked back to the kitchen with trays from the morning. She then proceeded to help the butlers and maids bring food out for breakfast in the dining area. She was a bit shocked to hear about an elimination so soon in the selection.But I guess as science books say It is survival of the fittest and natural selection would have to come sometime to weed out the weaker girls. She hoped Fel would not be eliminated. She noticed Roberta and Fel chatting while cleaning up and she smiled a bit at the two. If the prince does not pick her then I surely hope Roberta does she thought to herself happy to see the fellow six and three get along despite their social statuses.

Juliette scoffed. "Yes, of course. Because you were simply so eager to talk to anyone, I'm sure!" She rolled her eyes. "Just shut up and thank me, would you?"

(I think I know how to put in Sophia)
Sophia had been in the kitchen for most of the duration of the interviews, looking at the food she wouldn't be able to eat. The ever present frown was accompanied by a sigh as she considered getting back to work. The smell of food enticed her to stay but as Adelaide walked in she knew she needed to work. Grabbing some food as well for breakfast, she followed the rest of the staff to set up. Sophia had no interest in this affair but she did hope one of the girls would give her some food at some point. As usual her mind was on food and how much the air smelled like what she was carrying. With a heavy sigh she set the delicious delicacy that was to be consumed by others rather than her down and backed away reluctantly.

Alexander made a face that was almost a grimace. "It was... okay. I'm sure most of them would be perfectly fine marrying either one of us, Andrew." Especially Lady Giselle. He turned to his parents. "I'm thinking of eliminating one during breakfast. It does feel early, but... I know she's not the one and I don't want to waste any time." For once, alexander actually felt bad about something. It must be mortifying to be eliminated on the first day. But... it will make the next couple of eliminations that much easier.

Juliette puffed out her chest in pride, waving a hand as if she wafting something towards her face. "Aw, geez. What is this feeling? It's... Strange, but I could get used to it." She loved every chance she got to boost her ego. With as much self-hatred she had lingering inside, it was a necessity. See, her philosophy was that if she hated herself enough, she would never have anger towards anyone else. Instead, she could simply not care, which made killing for a living much easier. Which made her whole, current situation a very confusing practice, messing with her life philosophies. "Yup. Bet they won't even let us eat. At least you can talk with the prince." She sighed. "I can't even get away with talking to the selected, here."

Katherine nodded, placing her hand on her son's shoulder with a gentle smile. "Good choice, love. It's all up to you, and if you don't feel connected then there's no use. But please remember, don't humiliate her, let her go in private, not at the breakfast table." Her hands went down to smooth her dress before continuing. "May I ask who this Lady is?" The queen asked, an eyebrow arched curiously.
Quinn walked into the dining hall, excitement to eat making her happy as she walked to a seat and sat down, glancing around for her friends.
Giselle confidently took a seat at the breakfast table, the one closest to where the royals would be seated at the head of the table. She glanced around and grabbed some poor maid's arm, asking for more sparkling water before returning to looking at the food around her, reaching to grab a small pancake and a few strawberries delicately.
Jaden walked up to Sophia, his arm holding up a tray that balanced two pitchers; one with water and one with orange juice. "It sucks not to be able to eat any of this, huh?" The butler asked, eyeing the bacon that was a few plates away. "At least we get the leftovers."

Pocky | Karen Porter | 19 | Female | 7 | Gardener | Karen is doesn’t stand out with her rather ordinary height of 5’4 and plain appearance. Often there is dirt covering her from working in the gardens of the palace, smudges of grime dotting her heart shaped face. Her skin is tan from working in the sun all day and her dark brown, almost black, hair is kept in a ponytail to keep it out of the way though when she has it down it reaches her high waist. Her hands are calloused due to her work as she dislikes using gloves unless she has to and her nails have dirt permanently under them no matter how hard she tries to clean her hands. Karen has green eyes that squint out of habit due to her slight need for glasses but inability to acquire any, as well as from when she works outside with the sun getting into her eyes. Karen is a very cautious individual. She tends to expect the worst in others and can come across as rude or snarky at first. After a while she warms up and grows to be a rather cheerful individual. She dislikes her number but she does enjoy what she does which makes up for it. | Eadlyn
Pocky | Samuel Harvey | 30 | Male | 3 | Advisor | Samuel is a rather proper man, always dressed for the occasion and rarely slipping up. Due to premature greying running in his family, his once rich brown hair is now a grey color. He has a light brown, well-groomed beard that hasn’t gotten the memo to turn grey as well. He has worry lines on his face making him look older than what he is and the grey hair doesn’t help either. Samuel wears glasses that he needs for everything but reading which means he lowers them when doing most of his work. It wouldn’t be a lie to say that Samuel uses his position for his benefit. Often he will advise based on personal interest or to benefit someone who has bribed him. While corrupt in a way, he will not put the royal family or country at harm. He is a prideful man who knows his place and makes sure others do as well. He is selfish but also he looks after the best interest of others as long as he is also benefitted. | Other
Pocky | Rei Kashi | 20 | Female | 6 | Cook | Short and feisty is how most describe Rei. At 5’2, most overlook the petite woman but her sass gets their attention. She has a light complexion due to spending most of her time in the kitchen and her black hair reaches her chin as it curves in slightly at the ends. Her bangs are cut straight across her face and cover her thin eyebrows. Her brown eyes pay attention to detail and don’t let anything get past her. Her faceclaim is Ayano Omoto. Rei is a mixing pot of emotions. She can be focused and authoritative at one moment but the next she is laughing and jovial. Most of the time she is full of sass and always feisty. | Other

Hazel laughed. "Yes, it was nothing but heat and passion, and we're getting married Omar dusk and we'll have adorable babies," she joked with a flip of her wrist. "Just kidding. It was a little awkward, actually, but--I'm hoping it'll get better. More natural. How did yours go?"
~~~~~~~
King Charles raised his eyebrows slightly, but did not comment right away. His dark eyes studied his son's face while he thought. It was very soon...but he decided it was a good move. Decisive, powerful, but not flippant enough to appear as if he were not taking the Selection seriously. He finally nodded, a jerk of his chin more than anything else. "Just be sure to give a good reason. She will be sad and embarrassed. Make it clear you are thinking of her future as well, not just your own."
"If that's the feeling you get while witnessing a little part of my soul die and disappear, this friendship is built on lies," Gil hissed, frowning. He didn't have a huge ego like Juli, but still, having to thank someone - God forbid her - made a part of his soul sad. As Juli went to explain that he could at least talk to the prince, he frowned and shook his head. "Probably not. The Schreaves probably want to look the image of proper tonight, so any staff intermingling will probably not be taken well."
Fel nodded, imagining Hazel as the princess. As far as Selected girls went, Fel was the friendliest with this one in particular, and she hoped if she was to be eliminated that Hazel went far. "Truthfully, I don't know. He's hard to...gauge. I can't tell if my answers were spectacular or disappointing for him. Though, I think I'm gonna stick here for later, at least. Maybe he'll become easier to understand."
Sophia looked at Jaden as he reminded her of the one thing she wanted. "I rather have the good stuff that goes first," Sophia whispered to him as she could feel herself drooling at the sights and smells of the feast before them. "Do you think I would get fired for spiting in someone's food one day?" she wondered out loud. If there was one thing Sophia loved more than life itself it was food. It was the one thing obvious about her though she oddly didn't even smile at the smell of good food or even when she ate good food. It was only when it was presented before her by someone unexpected that she really smiled. A sigh left her slightly parted lips as she imagined eating with the Selected. "I wish I was one of them," she accidentally said out loud though only loud enough for Jaden to hear her.
As Roberta worked, quickly preparing the table as the Selected began to enter and find their seats, she felt a hand on her arm and turned to see Giselle. Bowing her head, she immediately left, fetching some sparkling water from the preparation area and returning within moments. Filling the glass carefully, she turned towards her and curtsied, "Is there anything else I do for you, Lady Giselle?"
Juliette laughed, "Geez, I didn't even know this was a friendship. I figured it was more of a necessary-to-survive-in-the-palace kind of relationship." Then, suddenly remembering her discussion with Hazel, she snapped her finger and pointed in his face. "Davenport! Your last name is Davenport. Why didn't you tell me you know someone in the selection?"
